No. of bitstreams: 1 462296.pdf: 15380938 bytes, checksum: f9eace3defe0866b190f1ae8582913db (MD5) Previous issue date: 2014-08-22The memorialistic writing by Isa?as Alves in Vida e obra do Bar?o de Macahubas (1942), Voca??o pedag?gica de Rui Barbosa (1959) and Matas do Sert?o de Baixo (1967) has made a significant contribution to the discussion of stylistic boundaries, as well as to the analysis of rhetorical narrative of which he has made use, in a state of memorious narrator, intending to relate the memory report and the story writing. It is possible to observe the impressionist details of the narrator in his attempt to understand how Isa?as Alves articulates his narrative production, considered memorialistic, reaching out to different text formats biography, autobiography, and memoir but always giving priority to the inscription of the self. This study has tried to map the stylistic boundaries among Literature, Social History, Social and Collective Memory, present in texts, considered hybrid, revisiting History, Literary Theory and concepts employed in genres such as (auto) biography, memoir and others in order to reconsider the paths which confirm the assertion that the presence of memory in Isa?as Alves and his (auto) biographical variations adjust to an interdisciplinary dialogue that, although displaying a nostalgic slant, also commits to historiography, while signing a pact with himself. This suggests an intimate engagement marked by the place and position of the author/narrator. It is possible to observe in Isa?as Alves an organic and positivist intellectual, who performed several public functions, without reaching the representativeness that others did, and which he rightly thought he deserved, in establishing relevant relations between history and memory through biographical and autobiographical reports. We defend, firstly, the initiative of placing the works mentioned here in the context of Brazilian literature, removing the classification wrappings mistakenly placed by scholars; reviewing the journey of a forgotten, or silenced, intellectual by virtue of his political choices, but admittedly a memorialist narrator who, mapping his sentimental impressions, could review the historic path of education in a tone which reminds us of the epics, in addition to the author s concerns about organizing files raising him to the category of guardian the memories of Rec?ncavo Sul Baiano and his own. To establish the analytical dialogue, theoreticians such as Philipe Lejeune (2008) Leonor Arfuch (2010), Francoise Dosse (2009), Diana Klinger (2012), Roland Barthes (1984), Luiz Costa Lima (1991) and Daniel P?caut (1990), among others, have been examined.

Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq).This dissertation sought to build an institutional ethnography for a non-governmental organization, the Instituto Socioambiental (ISA). Based on this ethnography, I tried to understand how the Institute could be seen as a network point, which breaks with it several concepts, values, and practices within a field of meanings. Look at the historical processes that intersect the existence of ISA, was a chosen path to comprehend how the institutionalization process of the organization took place, in its effects of exaltation and concealment within the consolidation of the Institute. Thus, I sought to realize the non-linearity of building an institution within a field that would have experienced rapid institutionalization, in legal terms. Thus, from an ethnography of practices representations and the signs attributed within it, I use interviews and written records to the analysis of this historical and institutional process. In this way, I conducted a research on ISA based on processes such as the country democratization, the State “neoliberalization”, the international cooperation emergence, and the construction of the “environment” as a transnational category.Instituto de Ciências Sociais (ICS)Departamento de Antropologia (ICS DAN)Programa de Pós-Graduação em Antropologia Socia

A CONTRIBUIÇÃO DA UNIVERSIDADE NO CONTEXTO DA SUSTENTABILIDADE SOCIOAMBIENTAL: UM POTENCIAL A SER EXPLORADO

    Get PDF

Since the 1990s, many studies have been made in pursuit of presenting physics developed in the last hundred years, called Modern and Contemporary Physics (FMC) in High School (HS). In an official suggestion appears in the National Curriculum Parameters for HS as part of the recast proposal on this level in the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education, 1996. In the State of Rio de Janeiro in 2012 the Minimum Curriculum puts the FMC as mandatory content to showcase concepts that explain current technology. Many proposals are formulated to facilitate, this introduction, for teachers and for students, causing the student to develop meaningful learning and useful. Among the different concepts of the new physics, the subject Radiation Physics is related within a bigger theme, Nuclear Energy, which must be submitted in the last two months of the second year. Called as a concept that only be discussed by scientists and experts, the number of proposals related to this issue are still few. Trying to provide an alternative to the teacher and provide the inclusion of this subject in the classroom, has assembled a proposal based on the following concepts of teaching, experimentation and didactic transposition to present the theme of Radiation Physics at HS. The use of didactic sequence provides a rationale between the concepts, along with the didactic transposition that makes concepts discussed by scientists can be presented in the classroom. Using experiments attracts students and approaches of science. This proposal was prepared for a workshop that has the objective of update physics teachers, and can be appropriately adapted to be applied in middle school(MS). The objectives outlined in this proposal are consistent with those described in official documents cited and application of didactic sequence will provide these objectives to be achieved so successful in the classroom of HS

    No full text

Mesohabitat indicator species in a coastal stream of the Atlantic rainforest, Rio de Janeiro-Brazil

The Mato Grosso is a typical Atlantic Forest stream located on the East coast of Brazil, approximately 70km from Rio de Janeiro city. From its source at about 800m a.s.l, the stream drains a 30km2 area of the Northwestern part of the municipality of Saquarema, state of Rio de Janeiro and flows into the Saquarema Lagoon system. We hypothesized that fish species occupy distinct mesohabitats, with the prediction that their occurrences and densities differ among the microhabitats of riffles, runs and pools. A 250m-long stretch of the stream located in its uppermost part was selected for this study, where it becomes second-order. Mesohabitat description and their fish characterization were undertaken. Fish sampling was conducted by electroshocking and after their identification and counting, they were returned to the stream. For mesohabitat characterization, a Discriminant Function Analysis (DA) was applied. The total number of samples was estimated by the Zippin method and the recorded densities were used as an Indicator Species Analysis (ISA), followed by a Monte Carlo test for 1 000 permutations. The DA significantly separated the three predetermined mesohabitats (pool, riffle and run) (WL=0.13, F=187.70, p=0.001). We found five species of fishes, belonging to four families and three orders. The fishes Rhamdia quelen, Phalloceros harpagos, Pimelodella lateristriga and Astyanax taeniatus are indicators of the pool environment in the Mato Grosso stream, whereas Characidium cf. vidali is an indicator of the riffle environment. The Monte Carlo test detected non-random mesohabitat use only for P. lateristriga and A. taeniatus in the pools and for Characidium cf. vidali in the riffles. We concluded that the Mato Grosso stream contains three well-defined mesohabitats, with indicator species present in two of these mesohabitats

Czech Social Reform/Non-reform: Routes, Actors and Problems

In this contribution, the author first considers the characteristics of the Czechoslovak communist welfare state and its theoretical alternatives. Throughout the reform process, dependency on both corporatist and socialist regimes won out, while residualist efforts were promoted in the beginning, but were later held back. The author then considers the possible actors involved in social reforms. In this respect, when proceeding from a general to a more concrete level, thought should first be devoted to the social classes and their ideologies, and second to political parties and their leaders. The author goes on to summarise the particular problems and traps in individual sections of the Czech social system. While no objection to decent standards of social protection and health care could be raised, the poor efficiency of their achievement should evoke concern. The author concludes by reflecting on the possible specificities of Czech social reform in comparison with the other countries undergoing reform and the EU. The current lethargy of the Czech welfare system corresponds to a “frozen edifice”, just as in most Western countries. However, such stagnation is apparently acceptable to both the politicians (who mask it in reformist rhetoric) and the population (which learned to master taking advantage of the generous welfare state) and thus is basically sustainable in the long run.social policy, social reforms, Czech Republic
