    Evaluation of Physicochemical and Phytochemical Profile of Kombucha Based on Goji Berry (Lycium barbarum)

    Kombucha is traditionally produced using tea; however, it can also be formulated from a variety of alternative substrates, including fruits, herbs, vegetables, and spices. This study investigated the use of goji berries (Lycium barbarum) at varying concentration (1%, 3%, and 5% w/v) as a substrate for kombucha fermentation. The objective was to evaluate the physicochemical parameters (pH, total alcohol content, sucrose concentration, total titratable acidity, color intensity, and total soluble solids) and the levels of key phtochemical compounds (total phenolics, quercetin, and tannins), across three fermentation time points: day 1, day 7, and day 14. The fermentation process was found to result in a decline in pH, total alcohol, sucrose, and total soluble solids, alongside an increase in titratable acidity, total phenolic content, quercetin, and tannin levels. These findings suggest that goji berries are a suitable for kombucha fermentation, as the observed physicochemical and phytochemical transformation reflect active metabolic processes by the SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast).112 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

    111 HalamanPenelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif korelasional bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecanduan game online dengan perilaku agresif pada remaja di Mabar Hilir kota Medan. Agresi adalah perilaku menyakiti seseorang, baik secara fisik maupun psikologis. Salah satu faktor perilaku agresif adalah kecanduan game online. Kecanduan game online adalah ketidakmampuan mengontrol perilaku bermain game online yang menyebabkan masalah sosial dan masalah emosional bagi pelaku. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 70 orang dengan menggunakan teknik sampling kuota berdasarkan kriteria: remaja yang bermain game online pertarungan, bermain selama minimal satu tahun, bermain game online minimal 3 jam perhari atau 20-25 jam seminggu. Pengambilan data menggunakan skala kecanduan game online dan perilaku agresif yang diuji menggunakan product moment. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa Ada hubungan positif kecanduan game online dengan perilaku agresif, dimana rxy = 0,600 dengan signifikan p = 0,000 < 0,05. Artinya hipotesis ada hubungan positif kecanduan game online dengan perilaku agresif. Dengan asumsi semakin tinggi kecanduan game online maka perilaku agresif semakin tinggi, dan sebaliknya. Hipotesis diterima. Koefisien determinan (r2) dari hubungan antara variabel X dengan variabel Y sebesar r2 = 0,360, ini menunjukkan bahwa kecanduan game online berkontribusi terhadap perilaku agresif sebesar 36%. Masih terdapat 64% faktor lain yang mempengaruhi perilaku agresif. This study used quantitative correlational aimed to find out the relationship between online gaming addiction and aggressive behavior in adolescents in the lower reaches of medan cities. Aggression is the behavior of hurting a person, both physically and psychologically. One of the factors of aggressive behavior is addiction to online games. Online gaming addiction is the inability to control the behavior of playing online games that causes social problems and emotional problems for the perpetrator. The sample in this study was 70 people using quota sampling techniques based on criteria: adolescents who played fighting online games, played for at least one year, played online games at least 3 hours per day or 20-25 hours a week. Data capture uses a scale of online gaming addiction and aggressive behavior tested using product moments. Based on the results of the analysis it is known that there is a positive association of online gaming addiction with aggressive behavior, where rxy = 0.600 with a significant p = 0.000 < 0.05. This means that the hypothesis is that there is a positive relationship of online gaming addiction with aggressive behavior. Assuming the higher the addiction to online gaming then the aggressive behavior is higher, and vice versa. Hypothesis accepted. The determinant coefficient (r2) of the relationship between variable X and variable Y of r2 = 0.360, this indicates that online gaming addiction contributes to aggressive behavior by 36%. There are still 64% of other factors that influence aggressive behavior

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Self esteem adalah penilaian pribadi dan orang lain, mengenai perasaan berharga dari diri sendiri, kepercayaan dari seseorang tentang keterampilan, kemampuan, dan hubungan sosialnya. Sedangkan Workplace bullying merupakan tindakan kekerasan atau perundungan verbal maupun non verbal yang bertujuan untuk membuat korban merasa tidak nyaman ditempat kerja. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 52 pegawai. Alat ukur yang digunakan, yaitu skala self esteem yang disusun menurut aspek-aspek Coopersmith dan skala wokplace bullying yang disusun berdasarkan aspek-aspek Loh oleh peneliti yang disusun menggunakan metode skala likert berdasarkan aspek-aspek self esteem dan aspek-aspek wokplace bullying. Skala Self esteem memiliki reliabilitas (rxx)= 0,790 terdiri dari 18 aitem, sedangkan skala wokplace bullying memiliki nilai reliabilitas (rxy)= 0,857 dan terdiri dari 16 aitem. Analisa penelitian ini menggunakankorelasi pearson product moment. Berdasarkan hasil Analisa ditemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara self esteem dengan workplace bullying dengan nilai r = -0,486, dan sig = 0,000. Artinya semakin tinggi tinggi self esteem maka semakin rendah workplace bullying, dan sebaliknya semakin rendah self esteem maka semakin tinggi workplace bullying. Dalam penelitian ini juga ditemukan bahwa pengaruh self esteem terhadap workplace bullying sebesar 12,1% sedangkan 88,9% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain diluar dari penelitian ini. Seperti yang diketahui, workplace bullying tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh self esteem saja, namun bisa dikarenakan adanya rasa iri dan tersaingi, tidak suka melihat jika ada yang lebih baik, respon negatif yang didapat dari korban, ketidakmampuan mengendalikan diri, serta juga dikarenakan kepribadian pegawai. This study uses a type of quantitative correlation research that aims to find out the relationship between self esteem and workplace bullying in BPSDM North Sumatra Province. Self esteem is the judgment of oneself and others, of the precious feelings of oneself, the beliefs of a person about his skills, abilities, and social relationships. And Workplace bullying is an act of violence or verbal or non verbal abuse that aims to make victims feel uncomfortable at work. The sample of this study was 52 employees. The measuring instrument used, namely the self esteem scale that is arranged according to coopersmith aspects and wokplace bullying scale that is arranged according to the aspects of Loh by researchers are compiled using the likert scale method based on aspects of self esteem and aspects of wokplace bullying. The Self esteem scale has reliability (rxx)= 0.790 consists of 18 aitems, while the wokplace bullying scale has a reliability value ((rxy)= 0.857 and consists of 16 aitems. The analysis of this study used pearson product moment correlation. Based on the results of the analysis found that there is a negative relationship between self esteem and workplace bullying with a value of r = -0.486, and sig = 0.000. This means that the higher the self esteem, the lower the workplace bullying, and vice versa the lower the self esteem, the higher workplace bullying. In this study also found that the influence of self esteem on workplace bullying by 12.1% while the remaining 88.9% was influenced by other variables outside of this study.     “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    28 HalamanDalam membuktikan hipotesis, maka digunakan metode analisis data analisis regresi dua prediktor. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh hasil: 1). Terdapat hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara persepsi tentang karekteristik konselor dan persepsi tentang efektifitas layanan konseling individual dengan minat berkonsultasi. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien koefisien Freg = 4,825 dimana p < 0,050. 2). Adapun sumbangan dari variabel persepsi tentang karakteristik konselor terhadap minat berkonsultasi sebesar 22, 1% dan untuk variabel persepsi tentang efektifitas layanan konseling individual terhadap minat berkonsultasi berdasarkan analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah sebesar 27,2%. Sehingga total sumbangan efektif dari kedua variabel terhadap minat berkonsultasi sebesar 49,3%. 3). Bahwa persepsi tentang karekteristik konselor tergolong sangat positif, sebab nilai rata-rata empirik yang diperoleh sebesar 168,15 selisihnya dengan nilai rata-rata hipotetik sebesar 125 melebihi bilangan SD yang besarnya 14,562. Kemudian untuk persepsi tentang efektivitas layanan konseling individual, nilai rata-rata empirik yang diperoleh sebesar 134,72 selisihnya dengan nilai rata-rata hipotetik sebesar 102,5 melebihi bilangan SD yang besarnya 12,579 sedangkan untuk minat berkonsultasi nilai rata-rata empirik yang diperoleh 100,19 selisihnya dengan nilai rata-rata hipotetik sebesar 80 melebihi bilangan SD yang besamya 17,111. Secara umum, basil penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa para siswa memiliki persepsi yang sangat positif tentang karekteristik konselor dan efektivitas layanan konseling individual serta minat berkonsultasi yang sangat tinggi. There is a very significant positive relationship between perception about counselor characteristics and perceptions of the effectiveness of counseling services individuals with an interest in consulting. This result is evidenced by the coefficient Freg coefficient = 4.825 where p < 0.050. 2). As for donations from variable the perception of the characteristics of the counselor on the interest in consulting is 22, 1% and for the variable perception of the effectiveness of counseling services individual on interest in consulting based on data analysis in research this is by 27.2%. So that the total effective contribution of the two variables to interest in consulting by 49.3%. 3). That the perception of the characteristics counselor is classified as very positive, because the empirical average score obtained of 168.15 the difference with the hypothetical average value of 125 exceed SD number whose magnitude is 14,562. Then for the perception of effectiveness individual counseling services, the empirical average value obtained is 134.72 the difference with the hypothetical mean value of 102.5 exceeds the number SD which is 12,579 while for interest in consulting the average value empirically obtained 100.19 the difference with the hypothetical average value of 80 exceeds the SD number which is 17.111. In general, the results of this study illustrate that students have a very positive perception of the counselor's characteristics and effectiveness of individual counseling services as well as a very strong interest in consulting tall

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
