Il tema del "Congedo di Cristo dalla madre" in un affresco di Giusto de’ Menabuoi nella cappella della Madonna Mora (più una postilla)
No full textIl recente restauro dell’affresco sulla parete settentrionale della cappella della Madonna Mora, collocato a sinistra dell’ingresso al sacello del beato Luca Belludi, ha fornito l’opportunità di approntare uno studio specifico e particolareggiato su un episodio artistico pressoché sconosciuto della basilica del Santo. Oltre che per le rovinose condizioni conservative, la pittura murale ha sofferto della disattenzione della critica anche a causa dell’incomprensione del suo soggetto, scambiato per una semplice scena votiva. Essa raffigura in realtà un momento ben preciso della vicenda cristologica, il Congedo di Cristo dalla madre prima della Passione: si tratta di un tema che ebbe particolare sviluppo all’inizio del Cinquecento e di cui le testimonianze più antiche, fino ad ora, ne collocavano la genesi in area tedesca nei primi decenni del XV secolo. Riconosciuta la corretta iconografia dell’immagine e la peculiarità di una datazione “alta” entro la fine del Trecento, il presente studio ne ha rintracciato l’origine nella letteratura devozionale e nel dramma sacro, conclusione supportata anche dalla presenza dell’iscrizione “dialogata” all’interno della raffigurazione. Una seconda pista d’indagine si è concentrata sull’individuazione dell’identità dei due committenti, che si è proposto di riconoscere in Gerardo Negri e nella moglie Buzzacarina Buzzacarini: sarebbe stata quest’ultima, in particolare, a commissionare la pittura per commemorare il marito, già defunto nel febbraio del 1372. Concorrono a una simile ipotesi tanto il valore funerario dell’iconografia del Congedo, quanto la stretta contiguità del riquadro affrescato con il sepolcro di famiglia che Gerardo Negri ebbe l’autorizzazione a collocare nella cappella della Madonna Mora a partire dal 1371. Le circostanze “esterne” che inducono a collocare la realizzazione dell’affresco in questo giro d’anni sono confermate anche da considerazioni stilistiche, per cui l’attribuzione già proposta in sede critica a Giusto de’ Menabuoi, da poco giunto a Padova dopo l’esperienza lombarda, è stata avvalorata da nuovi confronti. Alla mano del maestro sembra di poter avvicinare un secondo affresco in basilica, la “Vera effigie” di Sant’Antonio sita nel pilastro del presbiterio prospiciente la cappella della Madonna Mora: ad essa, frutto di un restauro svoltosi in concomitanza con quello sul Congedo, è riservata la postilla in chiusura di articolo

No full textThe paper will focus on the analysis of Guido Crepax revolutionary comic book character Valentina that belongs to the golden age of the Italian comic-book genre fumetto. The aim is to explore whether Guido Crepax Valentina character was a "living doll" filling male fantasies of her creator or she was a woman empowered by her author struggling for many of the values of the women's culture that feminists today are trying to introduce into the mainstream. It also addresses research questions that focus on comic books and gender and empowerment at the decade of sexual liberation.Through Valentina case study the present paper is going to study an approach on the concept of woman in comics, and touch the border of female empowerment issue in contemporary world taking in consideration that her revolutionary strong and independent figure was born in a society where women have been frequently viewed as passive and represented as inferior to men and where questions of sexuality were considered taboo. Despite the fact that she angered some feminists by the way she was portrayed as an object of male gaze or a damsel in distress, there is nothing anti-feminist about Valentina. The aim here is to uncover feminist themes in the stories of Valentina and to explore what empowered her and made her a contemporary icon of style and symbol of liberated women
Prosodie del Congedo – Analisi fonetica comparativa di dodici letture della prosopopea di Giorgio Caproni
No full textThe reading of poetry is one of the most overlooked aspects of Italian studies in Criticism and Linguistics. This experimental research arises from Beccaria’s studies [2] and explores the musical apparatus of a poetic composition through methods of instrumental Phonetics. The study focuses on the prosody of Congedo del viaggiatore cerimonioso read by Giorgio Caproni. The approaches are qualitative and quantitative: from the analysis of the author’s reading, the observation has been extended to other eleven voices, different at a professional and diachronic level (contemporary poets, radio speakers and actors). Listening represents the start of the research, combined with the observation of oscillograms and spectrograms and their annotation using Praat. However, the sound data is always related to the textual data, by identifying the main trends in melody and prosodic segmentation. The study, in addition to highlighting considerable speech variation, reveals aspects of Italian poetry that have always been neglected and are now available, thanks to a quantitative method. The work wants to be also a starting point for “VIP - Voices of Italian Poets”, a project dedicated to original and contemporary readings of of Twentieth Century Italian poems, accompanied by linguistic annotations at different levels.La lettura della poesia è uno degli aspetti più trascurati dagli studi italiani di Critica e Linguistica. Questa ricerca sperimentale, sulla scia degli studi di Beccaria [2], esplora l’apparato musicale di un componimento poetico attraverso le metodologie della Fonetica strumentale. Lo studio si concentra sulla prosodia delle letture del Congedo del viaggiatore cerimonioso di Giorgio Caproni. Gli approcci sono di tipo qualitativo e quantitativo: dall’analisi della lettura dell’autore, l’osservazione si è estesa ad altre undici voci, differenti sul piano professionale e diacronico (poeti contemporanei, speaker radiofoniche e attori). L’ascolto rappresenta l’avvio della ricerca, unito all’osservazione di oscillogrammi e spettrogrammi e alla loro annotazione a mezzo del software Praat: il dato sonoro, tuttavia, viene sempre messo in relazione con il dato testuale. Lo sguardo comparativo evidenzia un’eterogeneità dei dati, collocabile in una norma generale, con un sistema di convergenze consistente: si sono individuate inoltre tendenze prevalenti, ad esempio a livello melodico e di suddivisione prosodica. Lo studio, oltre a evidenziare varietà linguistiche considerevoli, rivela aspetti della poesia italiana da sempre trascurati e ora esperibili, grazie alle tecnologie e ai mezzi di studio sviluppati. Il lavoro fin qui svolto si propone, inoltre, come punto di partenza per “VIP – Voices of Italian Poets”, progetto dedicato a letture originali e contemporanee di poesie italiane del Novecento, corredate da annotazioni linguistiche a diversi livelli

Identifying key parameters through a sensitivity analysis for realistic hygrothermal simulations at wall level supported by monitored data
No full textThe reliability of hygrothermal simulations of building components is key for designing energy efficiency measures, assessing living comfort, and preventing building damage. The model accuracy is related to the reliability of the selection of input parameters. Due to the high uncertainty, the selection of the input values is challenging. This work aims to calibrate a hygrothermal simulation model exploiting monitored values recorded in a case study located in Settequerce (Italy), to understand how close to reality a numerical model can be. Moreover, a sensitivity analysis, based on the Morris method together with a Latin Hypercube sampling, is applied to identify the input parameters that affect most significantly the simulation. The results of the calibration indicated that is possible to obtain reliable outputs by appropriately selecting materials within the database. The sensitivity analysis showed that the relative humidity under the insulation is largely influenced by the water vapor diffusion resistance factor of the plaster, applied during the renovation phase both on the internal and external side. Among the coefficients describing the coupling with the boundary conditions, only the external convective heat coefficient and the coefficient of short-wave solar radiation influence slightly the objective function
