No full textCome ricordano Dione Cassio e Malalas, durante la spedizione partica di Traiano un terremoto di ampia dimensione colpì la città di Antiochia e il territorio circostante, causando danni ingenti e un numero non quantificabile di vittime. Anche Traiano, acquartierato in città, a stento poté uscirne illeso grazie all’intervento salvifico di un “essere più grande dell’umano”. Nel presente contributo, l’evento sismico viene analizzato alla luce della difficile congruenza delle fonti antiche e delle ricostruzioni contemporanee, spesso figlie di un’“ansia da accumulo” dalle diverse evidenze archeologiche e (anche) numismatiche.
As recalled by Dio Cassius and Malalas, during Trajan’s Parthian expedition a major earthquake occurred in the city of Antioch and in the surrounding area, causing extensive damages and an undetermined number of victims. Even Trajan, quartered in the city, barely managed to escape unharmed thanks to the saving intervention of a “being greater than the human”. In this paper, the Antioch’s earthquake is analysed in the light of the difficult congruence of ancient sources and contemporary reconstructions, which are often the result of an “anxiety of accumulation” of various archaeological and (also) numismatic evidence.Come ricordano Dione Cassio e Malalas, durante la spedizione partica di Traiano un terremoto di ampia dimensione colpì la città di Antiochia e il territorio circostante, causando danni ingenti e un numero non quantificabile di vittime. No full textLa numismatica etrusca, tranne nei rari casi delle catalogazioni generali (HN, EC e ICC), è un tema attorno al quale si sono mossi soprattutto studiosi italiani. Dopo il convegno organizzato nel 1975 dal Centro Internazionale di Studi Numismatici al quale parteciparono anche autorevoli voci straniere, in effetti il tema si è andato progressivamente “italianizzando” tanto da non “meritarsi” neppure un fugace paragrafo nel recente Oxford Handbook of Greek and Roman Coinage. Il presente contributo presenta una analisi di lunga durata delle ricerche condotte nell’ultimo mezzo secolo in tema di numismatica etrusca.The Etruscan numismatics, with the exception of general catalogues (HN, EC, and ICC), is a research topic that has been mainly dealt with by Italian scholars. After the international symposium organized in 1975 by the Centro Internazionale di Studi Numismatici, which saw the participation of outstanding foreign scholars, the Etruscan numismatics became a theme mainly faced by Italian researchers, enough not to deserve a mention in the recent Oxford Handbook of Greek and Roman Coinage. Corpus Nummorum Italicorum, mostly through the analysis of the reviews which followed the issues of the various vo-
lumes. These reviews seem to be free and fairly critical only in regard to the earliest volumes (published 1910-1917), while they tend to became merely rhetorical and
hagiographic after 1922. This was probably the consequence of the growing role of the Fascist movement in Italy, which made more and more difficult to openly criticizes the authorities, among which the Italian king was the highest. A side effect of this attitude was that the amateurs and even the scholars tended to see the classifications and the dating suggested by the Corpus almost as a "revealed truth", what greatly hampered the Medieval numismatic studies in Italy for a long period

No full textIl presente contributo analizza le monete rinvenute durante gli scavi della Scuola Archeologica Italiana di Atene a Lemno (Grecia), nei complessi ecclesiastici di Efestia, sul Golfo di Palaiopolis. Dopo una prima descrizione delle strutture e una scansione cronologica per fasi, della vita dell'area si presenta uno studio preliminare delle monete, con particolare attenzione ai contesti di rinvenimento.This paper analiyses the coins found during excavations carried on by the Italian Archaeological School of Athens in Lemnos (Greece) in the ecclesiastical complexes of Ephaestia, on the Gulf of Palaiopolis. After a description of the structures and a chronological scanning by phases of the area's life, a preliminary study of the coins is presented, with a focus on the contexts in which they were found

No full textDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Comunicação e Expressão, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Estudos da Tradução, Florianópolis, 2013.Com a intenção de delinear o modo pelo qual o escritor italiano Alessandro Baricco se inseriu no sistema literário brasileiro e os caminhos percorridos pelos seus livros traduzidos, esta dissertação dá voz às experiências tradutórias de seus tradutores. A inserção de Bariccono Brasil tem seu início em 1997, através de uma proposição da Profa. Dra. Roberta Barni à editora Iluminuras da tradução de Oceano Mare. A partir daí, outras sete obras foram publicadas no Brasil, sendo três delas traduzidas por Roberta Barni e as outras quatro por quatro tradutores diferentes. De um lado, considera-se o tradutor como figura principal namediação entre culturas, e, de outro, se analisa a realidade desta figuradentro do sistema literário, sua invisibilidade, seus limites e o exercíciode sua profissão. A pesquisa conta, ainda, com críticas e resenhas referentes ao autor italiano publicadas em jornais consagrados no Brasil, considerando estas como parte constituinte da imagem de Baricco refletida em território nacional. Abstract : Intending to delineate the way the Italian writer Alessandro Baricco has been inserted in the Brazilian literary system and the paths his translated books have followed, this thesis gives voice to the translating experiences of his translators. Baricco's insertion in Brazil began in 1997, through a personal project of Dr. Roberta Barni, with her translation of Oceano Mare. Since then, seven other of his works have been published in Brazil, three of which were translated by Roberta Barni and the other four by four different translators. On the one hand,the translator is considered as the main figure in mediation betweencultures and, on the other, this figure's reality is analyzed within theliterary system: its invisibility, its limits and its professional practice. Criticisms and reviews of this Italian author published in well established Brazilian newspapers are also considered, with the understanding that they are part of Baricco's image reflected here
