Social Discrimination in the Novel ‘Thol’by D. Selvaraj
The novel is a new genre of literature introduced in the twentieth century in Tamil. The first book in Tamil was written by Samuel Vedanayagam Pillai. Then, new writers emerged and contributed their writing in different genres. In this way, progressive author D. Selvaraj focused on the condition of tanners in the Dindigul regions in his novel "Thol" He explains the tannery workers' struggles, how they affected their families, and how they eventually succeeded in gaining their rights. These are described using the regional dialect. There are 117 characters in this novel, which has 26 chapters. Although many scholars claim that all people are equal, this has never been put into practice. It is this system of social discrimination that gives rise to the idea that all human beings are of the same race, intertwined in occupational caste differences, and inspires the attitude of one man to regard another as inferior. Anthropologists have opined that it was in India that caste systems emerged as industrial divisions and changed their shape. Based on these, this article aims to investigate the social discrimination shown in leather goods

1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 and development of tuberculosis in cattle
This report describes the presence and activity of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (1,25-D3) in experimental bovine tuberculosis. Animals that went on to develop tuberculous lesions exhibited a rapid transient increase in serum 1,25-D3 within the first 2 weeks following infection with Mycobacterium bovis. 1,25-D3-positive mononuclear cells were later identified in all tuberculous granulomas by immunohistochemical staining of postmortem lymph node tissue. These results suggest a role for 1,25-D3 both at the onset of infection and in the development of the granuloma in these infected animals. Using a monoclonal antibody to the vitamin D receptor (VDR) as a VDR agonist, we confirmed that activation of the vitamin D pathway profoundly depresses antigen-specific, but not mitogenic, bovine peripheral blood T-cell responses (proliferation and gamma interferon production). Investigation of the mechanism of this suppression showed that the VDR antibody modified the expression of CD80 by accessory cells, such that a significant positive correlation between T-cell proliferation and accessory cell CD80 emerged
Dip-coated La2Ti2O7 as a buffer layer for growth of Bi3.25La0.75Ti3O12 films with enhanced (0 1 1) orientation
Thin-films of La2Ti2O7 were obtained by dip-coating process using a precursor salt in nitric acid solution. The effects of solution concentration, withdrawal speed, post-annealing duration and temperature were investigated both on grain size and orientation of the La2Ti2O7 thin layers. In addition, a target with the required stoichiometry for PVD deposition of La-substituted Bi4Ti3O12 (BLT) was successfully sintered by spark plasma sintering (SPS) at 750 ◦C. Finally (0 1 1)-oriented BLT ferroelectric films have been grown by RF sputtering on (1 1 0)-oriented La2Ti2O7 polycrystalline thin-film. A preferential orientation of BLT thin films has been obtained after annealing at a temperature lower than 650 ◦C
