Digestibility of extruded peas, extruded lupin, and rapeseed meal in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and turbot (Psetta maxima)
Apparent digestibility coefficients (ADC) of nutrients and energy of extruded peas, extruded lupin and rapeseed meals were determined in juvenile rainbow trout and turbot. Extruded lupin was found to be a promising substitute for fish meal in the diets of trout and turbot, with an acceptable digestibility of its dry matter (70% in trout and 81% in turbot) and a high digestibility of its protein (96% in trout and 98% in turbot) and its energy (77% in trout and 85% in turbot). Extruded peas had a lower digestibility of its protein in trout (88%) than in turbot (92%), and the ADC of energy, mainly supplied as starch, was relatively low (69% in trout and 78% in turbot). The digestibility of rapeseed meal was improved by a thermal treatment. Without thermal treatment, rapeseed meal had a low digestibility of its dry matter (57%) and energy (69%) in turbot. The availability of phosphorus was higher for extruded lupin (62% in trout and 100% in turbot) compared to the other plant-ingredients. When compared to a solvent-extracted meal, the availability of phosphorus from rapeseed meal was improved by heat treatment in both species (42% vs. 26% in trout and 65% vs. 49% in turbot). Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Preserving Fertility by Treating the 3 Compartments: Laparoscopic Approach to Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis
Study Objective: To describe a laparoscopic technique for the resection of deep endometriosis, treating the 3 compartments.Design: Educational video.Setting: Tertiary referral center in Strasbourg, FrancePatient: A 37-year-old primiparous woman.Intervention: Adenomyomectomy, partial cystectomy, and bowel resection. Fertility preservation was mandatory because of the patient's desire for future pregnancy.Measurements and Main Results: A 37-year-old primiparous woman presented with main symptoms of dysmenorrhea and dyspareunia associated with pollakiuria and macroscopic menstrual hematuria (with emission of endometriotic tissue on analysis). She also complained of dyschezia. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed an endometriotic nodule in the vesicouterine space with an involvement of the anterior wall of the uterus and a suspicion of bladder adenomyosis. There were lateral spicules attracting the ovaries toward the midline and an infiltration of the round ligaments and nodules related to the rectovaginal space's endometriosis. A possible invasion was noted underneath the rectal mucosa. The patient expressed her desire preserve fertility. The local institutional review board has approved the video. Initially, an ultrasonography was performed showing the adenomyoma invading the bladder. The second step was a cystoscopic evaluation by means of a double J probe and a bladder catheter. After surgery the bladder catheter was left in place for 15 days and the double J stents for 6 weeks. The first step was the dissection of the vesicouterine space to dissect the anterior adenomyoma from the bladder. A partial cystectomy was then performed to remove the bladder nodule. The adenomyoma was resected at its uterine portion and the uterus sutured. Surgery was then performed in the posterior compartment. Ureterolysis was performed bilaterally, and the pararectal fossas were then opened. The rectovaginal space was dissected. A rectosigmoid resection was mandatory to remove the bowel nodule. Patient follow-up included regular consultations and a hysterosonography at 6 weeks after surgery. Hysterosonography demonstrated an adequate patency. No adhesions to the uterus were found. We recommended to wait for 6 months to allow pregnancy according to the department's protocols. A clinical improvement was observed. Today, at 8 months she has not attempted pregnancy.Conclusions: A complete surgery is feasible for severe and deep endometriosis with a multicompartmental disease, using a laparoscopic approach aiming to preserve fertility. Abstract
PURPOSE: To evaluate the role of topical mitomycin C in corneal wound healing (CWH) after photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) in highly myopic eyes.
DESIGN: Prospective, double-masked, randomized clinical trial.
PARTICIPANTS: Seventy-two eyes of 36 patients affected by high (>7 diopters) myopia.
METHODS: In each patient, one eye was randomly assigned to PRK with intraoperative topical 0.02% mitomycin C application, and the fellow eye was treated with a placebo. Postoperatively, mitomycin C-treated eyes received artificial tears (3 times daily, tapered in 3 months), whereas the fellow eye was treated with fluorometholone sodium 2% and artificial tears (3 times daily, tapered in 3 months).
MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA) and best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), contrast sensitivity, manifest refraction, and biomicroscopy. Contrast sensitivity was determined using the Pelli-Robson chart. Corneal confocal microscopy documented CWH.
RESULTS: Mean follow-up was 18 months (range, 12-36). No side effects or toxic effects were documented. At 12-month follow-up examination, UCVAs (logarithm of the minimum angle of resolution) were 0.4+/-0.48 and 0.5+/-0.53 (P = .03) in mitomycin C-treated eyes and corticosteroid-treated eyes, respectively. At 1 year, corneal haze developed in 20% of corticosteroid-treated eyes, versus 0% of mitomycin C-treated eyes. At 12, 24, and 36 months, corneal confocal microscopy showed activated keratocytes and extracellular matrix significantly more evident in untreated eyes (Ps = 0.004, 0.024, and 0.046, respectively).
CONCLUSION: Topical intraoperative application of 0.02% mitomycin C can reduce haze formation in highly myopic eyes undergoing PRK.

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

Tunable Plasmonic Microcapsules with Embedded Noble Metal Nanoparticles for Optical Microsensing
We report a comprehensive investigation of the synthetic
conditions leading to the formation of tunable plasmonic microcapsules (MCs)
made of a hydrophobic liquid core encapsulated into a hard silica shell embedding
plasmonic metallic nanoparticles (NPs). The distinctive and remarkable features of
the prepared MCs are the inert nanometer-thin silica shell and the small plasmonic
NPs embedded in it, which confer interesting optical absorbance properties. We tie
the mechanical robustness of the MCs to the thickness of their silica shell. We
show that several oils can be used for the synthesis of MCs and we evidence how
the relative solubility of the silica precursor and the polarity of the oil phase
influence the final MC characteristics. We also evidence the synthesis of “monoflavor” or “multiflavor” MCs with, respectively, a
single type of NPs or a mixture of metallic NPs, respectively, embedded in the silica shell. Using experiments and simulations, we
demonstrate that the optical response of the MCs can be finely tuned by choosing the right ratio between Ag and Au NPs initially
suspended in the solution. Our heterogeneous hybrid MCs exhibit optical properties directly resulting from the choice of NP
composition and shell thickness, making them of great interest not only for mechanical and chemical microsensing but also for
applications in photothermal therapy, surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy studies, microreactor vesicles for interfacial
electrocatalysis, antimicrobial activity, and drug delivery. Our simple and versatile emulsion template method holds great promise
for the tailored design of a generation of multifunctional MCs consisting of modular nanoscale building blocks

A Multi-Language Comparison of Influences on Author Verification using Character N-Grams
We create a new multi-language corpus for author verification based on Wikipedia talkpages, and evaluate the influence that differences in topic and time have on character n-gram author profiles. A 0.12mm<sup>2</sup> Wien-Bridge Temperature Sensor with 0.1°C (3σ) Inaccuracy from -40°C to 180°C
Resistor-based temperature sensors can achieve much higher resolution and energy efficiency than conventional BJT-based sensors [1], but they typically occupy more area (> 0.25 mm 2 ) and have lower operating temperatures (le 125 {circ} {C}) [2]-[4]. This work describes a 0.12mm 2 resistor-based sensor that uses a Wien-bridge (WB) filter to achieve 0.1 {circ} {C} (3 sigma) inaccuracy from - 40 {circ} {C} to 180 {circ} {C}. Compared to a state-of-the-art WB sensor [4], it occupies 6 × less area and achieves comparable relative accuracy over a 76% wider operating range.
