Child folklore is the area of folklore composed of word, word-music, visual and graphic products. The author of the article deals with the issue of child folklore, treating it from a start the notion created for children and by children. Thus, a child is presented here as a conscious fun creator through getting to know manipulative games aiming at learning the body, the activities, the circle of the closest relatives, childhood singing repertoire, namely lullabies and traditional-mimetic forms. Child folklore also covers child products being an adaptation of the elements of adult culture. Microforms, such as counting- outs, rhymes, “language twisters” focused on semantics or phony play an important role. Child mental-physical specificity determines the features of creativity, i.e. memorization, existence in performance, syncretism, openness and occasional nature. Songs are accompanied by movement, and a drama, not a choreographic arrangement

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Artykuł podejmuje zagadnienie muzycznej realizacji tekstu literackiego. The article addresses the issue of setting a literary text to music. It discusses various aspects of preparing learning material based on childrens literature that is enriched or defined by musical interpretation, either vocal and instrumental or musical adaptation. The theoretical analysis included in the text focuses on presenting problems connected with musical adaptation and stages designed to prepare them through listening to the vocal and instrumental repertoire of childrens songs. By applying various means of musical expression, verbal and musical artistic adaptations provide a musical experience to young audience. Descriptive, comparative and interpretive studies have made it possible to trace and signal the subject of a given literary text. Carrying out this study has allowed an analysis of particular musical and literary examples in terms of the relationship between words and music as well as the relationship between the two on the example of childrens repertoire selected for the purpose. Considerations regarding setting a literary text to music are preceded by the stage of listening to the melody of the verses themselves, which constitutes an active response of the recipient to the message contained or interpreted in childrens poetry. What follows is the attaining of the idea of a given song addressed to a child; it gets translated into sounds and, consequendy, requires the right choice of instrument. We are then dealing with the confrontation of the world presented in the piece with a non-literary reality - music. The realization of the idea of the song takes place through the sounds and tones produced by instruments chosen appropriately. Intentionalism in words translates into specific means of musical expression and thus the imagined becomes more precisely visible and the artistic creation is presented in more detail. Transposing words into musical sounds requires knowledge of the musical language that introduces one into the world of universal humanistic values, facilitates understanding, activates the reception process, and encourages them to indulge in ones own artistic activity

The article deals with the issue of the voice as compared to therapeutic qualities. It discusses various aspects of the prenatal age in the context of the recipient and sender transposing messages and information through one sensory channel to another, as well as their expression by a sender. Among the discussed issues, a few thoughts are devoted to breathing with and without phonation, to rhythmic speech exercises and to the role of singing and sound speech. I draw attention to the role, functions and use of vocal repertoire – folk songs functioning in the environment which carry a cathartic message and are proof of identity at the same time. The conclusion of the article sums up the importance of the voice and using it based on the concept of music therapy as the one which improves the quality of life and is focused on culture. The aim of the theoretical analysis presented in the following article is to discuss the issue of the voice in music therapy. Description, comparative studies and interpretation have made it possible to trace and signal the discussed issues. Furthermore, the query of sources allowed for the analysis of particular music therapy concepts in terms of the voice’s functioning within them. Most often in the source literature, music functions as a general concept without specifying the place and role of voice. Reflections on the voice as a sound phenomenon and its subsequent differences from the sound speech and singing as a form of communication on the part of the sender and recipient allowed the study of the concept from the perspective of therapeutic elements. The concept of voice appears only in melotherapy that is, in one of the types of the concept of music therapy involving singing, yet it also comes to the fore here as a narrative factor which is a form of therapy. Wśród poruszanej problematyki kilka refleksji poświęcam oddechowi bezfonacyjnemu i z fonacją, ćwiczeniom logorytmicznym, roli śpiewu i mowy dźwiękowej. Zwracam uwagę na rolę, funkcje i wykorzystanie repertuaru wokalnego – pieśni ludowej funkcjonującej w środowisku niosącej przesłanie katartyczne, świadczące jednocześnie o tożsamości.

Jeśli chodzi o wykonanie zadań najtrudniejszych, stwierdzono występowanie istotnych statystycznie różnic pomiędzy porównywanymi grupami, najwyższe wyniki odnotowano wśród 6- i 7-latków z Polski. Również w odniesieniu do ogólnej liczby poprawnie wykonanych zadań stwierdzono występowanie istotnych statystycznie różnic pomiędzy porównywanymi grupami. The article presents the results of an auditory perception study carried out with the use of Mira Stambak’s Reproduction of Rhythmic Structures, aimed at assessing the development of auditory perception. The study consisted in reproducing rhythmic structures with different levels of difficulty. The aim of the study was to assess the level of auditory perception in 6- and 7-year-old children from Poland and Czech Republic. For the purposes of the analysis, the respondents were divided into four groups, taking into account their age and place of residence. The article presents the results of the analysis of the assessment of the general correctness of the performance of tasks in each group due to the varying level of difficulty. As a result of the conducted research, it was found that the age and place of residence of the examined children determine the correctness of the performance of tasks of varying levels of difficulty assessing the level of auditory perception. The results regarding the correctness of simple tasks were not varied depending on the respondents’ age group and place of residence. In the case of tasks with an average level of difficulty, the results were comparable in both examined age and territorial differentiated groups. As regards the performance of the most difficult tasks, there were statistically significant differences between the compared groups with the highest results among 6- and 7-year-olds from Poland. Also, with regard to the total number of correctly performed tasks, there were statistically significant differences between the compared groups
