No full textabstract: The purpose of the study was to develop a multimodal transportation plan that outlines the City’s transportation priority projects. The transportation plan created a path to help the City achieve its vision and goals for a future transportation system in a manner that is closely aligned with the lifestyle and the values of the community. Additionally, it will address the City of San Luis mobility needs for the future population, commercial growth, the transportation needs due to the opening of the new San Luis commercial Port of Entry, and the reconfiguration of the original San Luis Port of Entry I. No full textDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Comunicação e Expressão, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Literatura, Florianópolis, 2014Este estudo investiga como Jorge Luis Borges constrói o Sur como espaço mítico, em seus três primeiros livros de poesia. Para tanto, analisou-se de que forma a representação de tal espaço torna-o simbólico e, posteriormente, mítico, tanto no conjunto da obra do autor, como também, a partir desse movimento individual de Borges, no imaginário coletivo da cidade. Estudou-se ainda como a memória própria e o imaginário criaram espaços afetivos, que permeiam a totalidade dos textos do autor.Abstract: This study investigates how Jorge Luis Borges builds Sur neighborhood as mythic space in his first three books of poetry. To this end, we analyzed how the representation of such a space make of it a symbolic and later a mythical space, both in the overall work of the author, but also that individual movement of Borges that achieve the collective imagination of the city. Still we have studied how the personal memory and the imagery is able to create emotional spaces, which constitute the totality of texts by the author

Evolutionary change and phylogenetic relationships in light of horizontal gene transfer
No full textHorizontal gene transfer has, over the past 25 years, become a part of evolutionary thinking. In the present paper I discuss horizontal gene transfer (HGT) in relation to contingency, natural selection, evolutionary change speed and the Tree-of-Life endeavour, with the aim of contributing to the understanding of the role of HGT in evolutionary processes. In addition, the challenges that HGT imposes on the current view of evolution are emphasized.The author has been supported by a grant of Spanish DGI (CGL2013-41375-P).Peer reviewe

En concreto, se revisa como transferencia génica horizontal e hibridación ínter específica han podido jugar un papel más importante en la evolución del que inicialmente se les ha atribuido.
