Drug trafficking is the second largest global economy. After the productive reorganization in response to the '70s capitalism global crisis, the children and teenagers workforce employment has increased, meaning a global child labor expansion. In drug trafficking specifically, children and teenagers workforce increased is associated with changes in the drug trade in the ‘80s with the cocaine arrival in the retail market and the crack cocaine traffic widespread. These transformations, as well as expand several children and teenagers from this economy, resulted in the labor relations restructuring in them and tying workers to their communities. Facing this reality, the social policies addressed for child labor are irrelevant about both protection and education of these young workers. These policies take unilateral meanings and candied images on this work, hindering an effective social policies development. Seeking to contribute to real confrontation social policies, this paper analyzes the labour sense structure and dynamics in drug trafficking experienced by children and adolescents who works or have worked in this market, presenting key concepts for educational proposals addressing specificities. This research is grounded in historical materialism dialectical method and for the data collection we used semi-structured interviews with young Federal District residents who had experience drug trafficking when children or teenagers. It was also done bibliographic research on the drug trafficking structure and dynamics and theoretical-conceptual survey of the works metamorphoses in modernity and its relationship with education. For the labour senses treatment, we used the hermeneutic-dialectic method and for data analysis we used the data triangulation technique. From this research, we show that early children and teenagers integration in the labor market in a exploitative way generates a fragmented reflection of this activity in the psyche and specifically in the drug trafficking case, the senses fragmentation relates to the masking itself as this activity work - either byproductive organization structure in the flexible accumulation model operated through fragmented trafficking crack, either by the marginality ideology that covers trafficking, that rejects institutional image and isolates the worker. Thus, we point out that to make possible a learning spaces creation, education needs to break the isolation between the world and the worker, the personality fragmentation and community breakdown
In this study, my aim is to portray routes to an investigation of the Brazilian art of transvestism. In approaching to the epistemological field of social constructionism, I argue that the construction of sexual and gender identity cannot be isolated from personal social trajectory - including their social networks, their integration in cultural communities and their own course of career - I question the use of categories like "transvestite", "transsexual", "homosexual" and "transformista" as they define evident isolated identities. I propose the investigation of the Brazilian art of transvestism as a way to look, from a different point of view, at the subjective experiences as it extends the sexual and gender meanings shared intersubjectively in localized scenarios and understand these contexts as spaces for creating new social meanings. Therefore, I introduce epistemic routes to comprehending the art of transvestism within an ethnogenesis of the Brazilian LGBT community, understanding it as a decolonial genealogy research and taking the concept of "the space in-between" as reading operator
Between rags and quilts: traces of LGBT memory about the first responses from São Paulo to the HIV/AIDS epidemic
The objective of this study was to revisit the history of the response to the HIV / AIDS epidemic in the city of São Paulo, the epicenter of the Brazilian epidemic, reclaiming archives from the memory of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, travestis and transsexuals. Community responses are an inspiring legacy of a prevention pedagogy that may account for the increasing vulnerability of homosexuals to HIV / AIDS infection and illness. The materials produced by homosexual people or groups until 1996 (when antiretrovirals changed the scenario) were selected from sources available in the Edgard Leuenroth Archive and the Bajubá Collection. Academic literature on homosexuality and AIDS were consulted among those available at the Museu Histórico Prof. Carlos da Silva Lacaz, at USP libraries and at David Capistrano Library. The interpretation was inspired by the evidential paradigm and the definition of ages to identify permanencies and changes in homosexual productions on health and its circularity with academic production. Based on traces in the archives of the LGBT memory, it is initially argued that responses to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the 1980s relied on productions by homosexuals for health promotion developed in previous decades. When reviewing the academic production on homosexuality from 1945 to 1982 in the fields of Collective Health, Legal Medicine, Social Medicine, Social Psychiatry, Social Sciences, Psychology and Anti-Psychiatry, we observed how the bases for responses to the AIDS epidemic were based in two different ethical and technical-scientific notions: the Veronesi School and the Paulo Teixeira School. The latter was parallel and interacted strongly with responses organized by collectives founded and led by homosexuals or transvestites such as the group Outra Coisa, Gapa / São Paulo, Pela Vidda, Lambda and Casa de Apoio Brenda Lee and, in a more fragmented way, marked by homosexual pornographic media. The responses from São Paulo therefore expressed an intense dialogue that, for decades, engaged the homosexual movement, academia and public service, an expression of the Paulo Teixeira School. The plurality of responses from homosexuals in the 1980s, activists articulated within the state and governments, while part of the movement was institutionalized to respond to the emergency, panic and deaths and enact new forms of democratic social control. Some claimed citizenship in the face of the disease, adopting them as an indirect way of conquering homosexual rights. Others defended homosexual identity as a way of fighting against AIDS. Other collectives sustained HIV-positive identity as a way to access human rights and expand the understanding of the double discrimination associated to homosexuality and HIV. It was then that travestis articulated themselves to respond to the demands of assistance and care. Without pretending to exhaust this story, this paper concludes that the traces of the actions carried out by homosexual or transvestite people and groups, have established a legacy that will potentially renew responses to AIDS: guiding the mainstream media and using alternative media to produce reliable sources for homosexuals, establishing a model of healthy homosexuality, notions of safe sex that value pleasure, an art of care that, like cultural activism and the enhancement of memory as a political instrument, disseminated an ethical-political horizon of solidarity

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
