Fil: Borrell, Natali. Decameron: i molteplici volti dell'ordine
The essay analyzes term’s ‘order’ polysemy in Boccaccio’s masterpiece, highlighting how it is here above all Law and Commandment, mainly given by the male sex and, in the first place, by the same author, world’s precipitate into a chaos similar to the primordial renewed demiurge
Starting from the manuscript notebooks stored in the philosopher's personal archive, the article aims to show how the theme of the tran- scendentalism of praxis (t.d.p.), developed by Dal Pra particularly during the 1950s, remained an important point of reference for him at least until the mid- 1970s. Taking the original and public formulation of the t.d.p. as his starting- point, the Author fol- lows the recurring and constant return of the philosopher's unpublished notes to some conceptual focal points, for which the t.d.p.'s contribution was still relevant: the rela- tionships between philosophy and history of philosophy, theory and praxis, and gene- ral "orientation" and sectoral concepts. A different and more complex picture emerges compared to the common historiographical thesis, in a certain sense supported by Dal Pra himself, of an interest in the t.d.p. arising and developed within a limited and clo- sed time frame

A Visual Approach for Green Criminology ::Exploring the Social Perception of Environmental Harm /
This book brings the visual dimension of environmental crimes and harms into the field of green criminology. It shows how photographic images can provide a means for eliciting narratives from people who live in polluted areas - describing in detail and from their point of view what they know, think and feel about the reality in which they find themselves living. Natali makes the argument for developing a visual approach for green criminology, with a single case-study as its central focus, revealing the importance of using photo elicitation to appreciate and enhance the reflexive and active role of social actors in the symbolic and social construction of their environmental experiences. Examining the multiple interactions between the images and the words used to describe the socio-environmental worlds in which we live, this book is a call to open the eyes of green criminology to wider and richer explorations of environmental harms and crimes. An innovative and engaging study, this text will be of particular interest to scholars of environmental crime and cultural, green and visual criminologies. Lorenzo Natali holds a PhD in Criminal Law and Criminology and is currently a post-doctoral Fellow at the Department of Sociology and Social Research, University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy. His research focuses on violent crime, symbolic and radical interactionism, green criminology, and qualitative and interdisciplinary approaches, including visual methodologies. He is the author of Green Criminology: Prospettive Emergenti sui Crimini Ambientali (Torino: Giappichelli)
The anthropological recorded interview. Methodological issues and ethnographic examples
This work is conceived for students who already have a background in anthropological studies; it aims to teach students to carry out anthropological interviews with the use of recording instruments. This study was prepared in the frame of the E-QUAL project, and it provided the narrative structure on which a moodle module on the same topic was built by the present author.
The study is divided into three units: “How to prepare an interview”, “How to carry out an interview”, and “How to transcribe an interview”. The first unit looks into the ethical aspects and methods of preparation of the topic, and provides information on how to approach first contact with the interviewee. The second unit analyses the importance of building a relationship with the interviewee, strategies for conducting the interview and preparation of the questions. The third unit tackles the issues relating to transcription (timing and methods).
In all the units, the students will have to put into practice what they have learned, individually working out the goals of an interview, contacting a possible interviewee, creating a list of questions, carrying out the interview and finally transcribing it.
The aim of the module is not to create a perfect or correct interview on a specific topic, but rather to enable students to be capable of formulating an interview for any kind of research they might undertake

Such meaningful social changes are often driven by young people. But do young people living in contexts of long-term conflicts believe that change is even possible? In a series of six studies (Ntotal = 119,671) over two decades and across two unrelated intractable conflicts in Israel/Palestine and Cyprus, we found that younger (compared to older) generations from both respective rival groups have less hope for peace, and consequently less conciliatory attitudes. We also show that this gradual improvement of peace-promoting emotions and attitudes with increasing age can be experimentally accelerated in young people through a virtual reality-based aging simulation. These findings provide a new perspective on the fundamental question of why long-term conflicts are so difficult to resolve and highlight the importance of instilling hope in young generations to advance peace processes.Peer reviewe
The author intends to check the most important vesions of the correspondence between pliny and Trajan (plin.Ep.10.96-97) referred to Christian people, dated betwen Tertullian a pietro de natali. To this analysis it´s added that of the general circumstances and the particular context of each author, all of this allows to appraise how, as the circumstances of each author change, the original episode changes from versions in which the emperor appears as a persecutor among the others to the ones that make of him a saviour of christianity, through those that present him as an innocent ruler who was lead to error by his bad advisers.
After an introductory part devoted to illustrating the birth of anthropological science fiction, the article analyses the ethnographic sensibility present in the fiction of Ursula K. Le Guin. A very prolific author and daughter of anthropologist Alfred Kroeber, throughout her production Le Guin demonstrates an interest in anthropology that goes beyond the presence of ethnographers as protagonists of her novels, and extends to the dimension of cultural criticism that characterises the discipline. Le Guin is also an essayist, who ventures into literary theories of pressing relevance, a point of reference for authors such as James Clifford and Donna Haraway
Censorinus and his Work De die Natali
CENSORINUS műve a klasszikus antikvitás tudományos ismereteinek fontos gyűjteménye. Minthogy CAERELLIUS átlépte a kritikus 49. évet (hiszen megünnepelte születésnapját), ezért most már hosszú öregséget ér meg, hiszen a 63. évig semmi sem veszélyezteti, ráadásul 63 éves korukban jóval kevesebben halnak meg, mint akár 49, akár 81 éves korukban. Ennek bizonyságára a szerző hosszasan sorolja azokat a híres embereket, akik túlléptek ezeken a kritikus életkorokon. Sajnos nem tudjuk, hogy CENSORINUS jóslata valóra vált-e, mivel Quintus CAERELLIUS életéről e laudatio adatain kívül semmit sem tudunk.CENSORINUS’ work is an important collection of the scientific knowledge of classical antiquity. Although owing to its length it carries considerably less information as compared to other authors’ works, yet it has some quite valuable additions to ancient medicine, Presocratic philosophy and ancient chronology. However, the De die natali is not a mere compilation compendiating former works, since numerology plays a particularly important role in CENSORINUS. This is what the characteristic conception of the work is built on: the author wrote such a birthday congratulation, in which he gave an outline of his peculiar anthropological and chronological views. At the laudatio of Q. CAERELLIUS CENSORINUS makes it perfectly clear that the celebrated person is just holding his 49th birthday-fest (i.e. seven times seven. It is quite natural that the author, who is well acquainted both with the medicine and astrology of the day, wishes to please his prestigious patron, thus conludes that in human life it is those years that are critical that consist of the multiplications of the numbers 7 and 9: i.e. the 49th (7 times 7), the 63th (7 times 9) and the 81st (9 times 9) birthdays.
As CAERELLIUS completed the critical 49th year (for he celebrated his birthday), therefore now he is to live a old age, since until the 63th year of age nothing could endanger him, in addition, at the age of 63 much less people die than either at the age of 49, or 81. To prove this, the author makes a quite lengthy enumeration of those notable persons who passed over this critical age. Unfortunately, it is not known whether the prophecy of CENSORINUS was at all realized, since we have no knowledge of the life of Quintus CAERELLIUS apart from this [email protected]
