Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor apa saja yang membuat siswa sulit untuk mengerjakan soal-soal HOTS dan juga mencari tahu perbandingan HOTS siswa di SMKN 1 Bekasi dengan SMKN 1 Tambelang. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XII yang mengikuti Ujian Nasional 2018 – 2019, sedangkan sampel yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas XII SMKN 1 BEKASI sebanyak 65, Siswa kelas XII SMKN 1 TAMBELANG sebanyak 65. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode komparatif. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan pada setiap indikator pada kedua sekolah bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi perbedaan pemahaman siswa terhadap Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) di SMKN 1 Bekasi dan SMKN 1 Tambelang. Dengan kesimpulan di SMKN 1 Bekasi memiliki kelemahan pada indikator (mengkresikan dan refleksi) sedangkan pada SMKN 1 Tambelang memiliki kelemahan yang lebih banyak pada indikator (menggeneralisasi, mengkreasikan, dan refleksi).Berdasarkan Hasil uji hipotesis yang telah dilakukan, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) siswa di SMKN 1 Bekasi dengan SMKN 1 Tambelang dengan Hasil H0 ditolak dan HI diterima dilihat dari Hasil Thitung untuk variabel pengetahuan HOTS siswa di SMKN 1 Bekasi dengan SMKN 1 Tambelang sebesar 10,59 karena nilai tersebut termasuk kriteria Thitung >Ttabel sehingga didapat HI diterima dengan kesimpulan terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan HOTS siswa di SMKN 1 Bekasi dan SMKN 1 Tambelang.

This study aims to identify what factors make it difficult for students to work on HOTS questions and also find out the comparison of students' HOTS at SMKN 1 Bekasi with SMKN 1 Tambelang. The population in this study were all students of class XII who took the National Examinations 2018 - 2019, while the sample used was class XII students of SMKN 1 BEKASI as many as 65, students of class XII SMK 1 TAMBELANG as many as 65. The method used was a comparative method. Based on the results of calculations on each indicator in the two schools that factors influence differences in students' understanding of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in SMKN 1 Bekasi and SMKN 1 Tambelang. With the conclusions at SMK 1 Bekasi having weaknesses in indicators (stressing and reflection) while at SMK 1 Tambelang having more weaknesses in indicators (generalizing, creating, and reflecting). Based on the results of the hypothesis test that has been done, the researcher concludes that there are differences in Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) for students at SMKN 1 Bekasi with SMKN 1 Tambelang with H0 results rejected and HI accepted as seen from the Thitung Results for students' HOTS knowledge variables at SMKN 1 Bekasi with SMKN 1 Tambelang by 10.59 because these values are included in the Thitung criteria> Ttable so that it is obtained by HI is accepted with the conclusion there is a difference in the knowledge of HOTS students in SMKN 1 Bekasi and SMKN 1 Tambelang.

Get PDFWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used

The transport of LPG on a fully refrigerated LPG vessel requires special
attention to the problem that is often experienced by high tank pressure. In
operation the charge of fully refrigerated cargo handling of the temperature and
pressure on the load tank is very important, because the factors that cause the
loading delay is due to the existence of very high tank pressure, and not optimal
Reliquefaction Plant to reduce pressure on the load tank, so it is necessary to
know how the handling temperature and the pressure on the loading tank in its
loading and the constraints that affect it and the effort in overcoming the
constraints. As for the literature review as supporting the writing of thesis that the
LPG charge at outside air pressure will evaporate at very low temperature that is -
42.30C for propane and -0.50C for butane. Then the temperature and pressure on
the load tank must remain in a stable state in keeping the charge in liquid form.
In writing this thesis the author uses descriptive method, qualitative, and
data collection by observation by observing directly the object of research,
conducting interviews with a number of respondents and supported by the method
of documentation. Based on the result of research that in handling less than
optimal Operation of Reliquefaction Plant at the time of LPG loading process.
The obstacles are limited power generator, lack of coordination between the ship
and the pertamina operation and high load temperature. As a result the loading
time will be longer. So the effort to overcome them is to immediately
communicate with pertamina operation and operate the ballast pump before
loading to reliquefaction plant operate 4 sets and reduce the loading rate.
In the end results of research on Optimization of Reliquefaction Plant
Operation to Handle Problems in LPG Gas Loading Process in MT Ship. Gas
Komodo is very important to be done on board for the creation of an objective
(facilitating the implementation of fully refrigerated LPG loading) and can be
accounted for and can be taken a conclusion or as an evaluation for reference
