Sequential Blended Teaching Materials: Scaffolding Non-English Language Learners’ Scientific Literacy Using Online Sources, Edpuzzle
This study aimed to explore information from 44 Students of Primary Teacher Training Education Department as the sample of research. The 40 items of statement in questionnaires designed from positive point of view and scaled in Likert from; strongly agree (5) to strongly disagree (1). By the content area of two basic research questions in regard to Preferences and benefit for students in applying a sequential blended learning material in teaching English. Data was analyzed in statistic descriptive to get meaning. The result found that, there was 4,22% of students respond to items of questionnaires to more agree and strongly agree to the statements of questionnaires. This total average number of the respond of 44 students were found in 4,6816 % in questionnaires that represented preferences (13 items of statements) and 3,7727% in average found in statement of questionnaires that represent benefits (27 items of statements), meant there was positive respond toward this teaching approach and fixing to the preferences of student and scaffolded students’ other related scientific literacy
TEACHING EXTENSIVE LISTENING DEVELOPING RECOUNT PARAGRAPH WRITING
This study aimed to facilitate students in an integrated learning approach to meet the purpose of teaching and learning. This listening–writing integrated teaching data was a survey research designe, to identify the intention, preference and benefit of students. The study aimed also to identify the case of theoritical proposition and the field practice. The data was taken from 58 English education study program students of 4th semest, those who were in the treatment of the teaching approach. Students’ responses to the questionnaires was in order to answer 2 research questions: what are students intentions, preferencec, and the benefits, and other suggestions of students toward the teaching approach. The data of research provided in approaching of Likert’s scale in the renge of 1 (strongly agree) to 5 (strongly disagree). However the questionnaires were designed more in positive view points towards the implementation rather than in negativesites. The questionnaire data was analysed using descriptive statistical operaion to see the average number of students’ responses and the frequency toward each of three points. By data analysis, the result shows that, 30 student (51,7%) strongly agree, 25 students (43,1% agree) 2 student 3,4% neutral, 1 student (1,7%) disagree to the intention. There were also 20 students ) 34,5% strongly agree, 33 (56% agree), 5 (8,6% neutral and none disagree for preferences, while, 12 (20,7% strongly agree, 41 students (70,7%) agree, 5 students (8,6%) neutral and none dis/or strongly agree with the benefit. Even in a quite strong data, but there were also great number of studsent complain in their hand writing note data. The complains are in the cases that (a) writing is difficult so, it should not be in parallel with listening, (b) writng created boringness, and their proportion of changing this (integrated) approach. From the two data, the possible conclussion is that there was benefit for the integrated listening-writing but a fully and detail explanation should have than become the consern on the awarenes of studen
MOOD TYPES OF DONALD TRUMP’S SPEECH IN THE ARAB ISLAMIC AMERICAN SUMMIT
This research deals with analyzing language from the perspective of Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) from Donald Trump’s speech in the Arab Islamic American Summit. In English, one of types of meaning is Interpersonal meaning. It is realized by mood and modality. This research focuses on mood, then formulated into two research questions: 1) What mood types are used in Donald Trump’s speech in the Arab Islamic American summit? 2) What mood adjuncts are used in Donald Trump’s speech in the Arab Islamic American Summit?. The method used in this research is qualitative research. The source of data is the video of Donald Trump’s speech from Youtube. It was taken from (CNN, 2017) to get the transcript of speech by Donald Trump. It was found that there were 355 clauses in Donald Trump’s speech; there were 4 types of mood in the speech of Donald Trump; there were 337 declaratives mood with percentage 94.92%, 4 Polar-Interrogatives mood with percentage 1.12%, 4 WH-Interrogatives mood with percentage 1.12% and 10 imperatives mood with percentage 2.25%. Declarative as the most dominant types of mood is used in Donald Trump’s, speech which means that he gave or stated information to the audiences. In addition, in Donald Trump’s speech, there are 19 clauses which contain mood adjunct. The findings indicated that there were 3 types of mood adjunct in the speech, namely, 5 adjuncts of modality with percentage 26.31%, 3 adjuncts of temporality with percentage 15.78%, and 11 adjuncts of intensity with percentage 57.89%. The most dominant is adjuncts of intensity which expresses expectation. Keywords: Systemic Functional Linguistics; Mood; Mood Adjunc
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
