No full textThe author of this unique volume, Lev P Gor'kov is internationally renowned for his seminal contribution in the fundamentals of the Theory of Superconductivity, Theory of Metals, the field of Quantum Statistical Physics, and more generally, Organic Metals and the like. Each reprints' group is preceded by the author's introductions and commentaries clarifying the formulation of a problem, summarizing the essence of the results and placing them in the context of recent developments. The author belongs to the last generation of scientists who were the direct disciples of the legendary Russian theorist Lev Landau. And Gor'kov's achievements reflect the unique style and the originality of this famous Scientific School. As with other Russian scientists of his generation, many of the pioneering papers by Lev Gor'kov have been published in the Russian journals that are hard-to-reach for modern readers, students and postdocs. No full textThe author demonstrates, using the example of the individual sanctions, the conflict between the social demand of flexibility and reactionary-effectivity of enforcing the political goals and social values in the complex world in form of sanctions against the individuals by the executive power, i.e. de facto punishments, with the traditional separation of powers according to which the decision-making (judgement) on punishments is exclusively role of the judiciary. The author is focusing especially on the Czech legislation-in-preparation of the individual sanctions of which the author is the legislative drafter. The case study of individual sanctions is used to demonstrate the liquidity of separation of powers in modern democratic state, following the ideas of Zygmut Bauman and his phenomenon of liquid society

AI-aesthetics and the anthropocentric myth of creativity
No full textSince the beginning of the 21st century, technologies like neural networks, deep learning and “artificial intelligence” (AI) have gradually entered the artistic realm. We witness the development of systems that aim to assess, evaluate and appreciate artifacts according to artistic and aesthetic criteria or by observing people’s preferences. In addition to that, AI is now used to generate new synthetic artifacts. When a machine paints a Rembrandt, composes a Bach sonata, or completes a Beethoven symphony, we say that this is neither original nor real art, but simply the complex imitation and reproduction of existing products of human culture. We face the old question concerning the nature of creativity: what kind of recombination of ideas, unusual analogies, and conceptual connections are considered the mark of originality? Can AI produce artworks? Could machines reach a point at which we consider them genuinely creative? We also need to investigate the challenges posed by AI-art to the notion of authoriality: Who is the author of an artificially generated artifact? An artificial system could be considered just an artist’s and a programmer’s tool. However, we are also fascinated by the idea of autonomous artificial creativity in the aesthetic domain, as a manifestation of highly intelligent behavior. This paper will try to define some key questions around what could it mean to consider a machine creative or even equipped with artistic intentionality

No full textO artigo discute a transição da criação de imagens manuais e a partir de lentes para o procedimento preditivo de IA generativa, em que os computadores geram novas mídias ao aprender com grandes conjuntos de dados e prevernovos artefatos. Esta mudança da representação para a previsão marca uma alteração significativa no modo como as imagens são produzidas, movendo-se para as “mídias preditivas”. O autor também investiga as características comuns entre os processos de criação humana e de IA, em que ambos aprendem com grandes quantidades de dados culturais para produzir novos artefatos. No entanto, a IA luta atualmente para gerar “átomos culturais” únicos ou raros, que são melhor compreendidos pelos criadores humanos. O artigo também coloca a IA generativa no contexto da arte moderna e da história da mídia. Os artefatos gerados por IA dependem de um grande arquivo de outros artefatos de mídia. Este mecanismo generativo liga os meios generativos a gêneros, métodos e movimentos artísticos anteriores, como a foto-colagem da década de 1920, a pop art da década de 1960 ou a net art da década de 1990.--------The article discusses the transition from manual and lens-based image creation to Generative AI's predictive procedure, where computers generate new media by learning from large datasets and predicting new artifacts. This shift from representation to prediction marks a significant change in how images are produced, moving towards 'predictive media.' The author also investigates the common features between human and AI creation processes, where both learn from vast amounts of cultural data to produce new artifacts. However, AI currently struggles with generating highly unique or rare 'cultural atoms,' which are better grasped by human creators. The article also places Generative AI in the context of modern art and media history. Artifacts generated by AI rely on a large archive of other media artifacts. This generative mechanism links generative media to earlier art genres, methods and movements such as photo-collage of the 1920s, pop art of the 1960s or net art of the 1990
