Experimental investigation on the effect of dimple-protrusion surfaces in a counter flow heat exchanger
No full textFlat plate heat exchangers are widely used in industrial and domestic applications. Industrial plate type heat exchangers generally operate in the turbulent flow regime. Although, increase in flow speeds leads to higher transport of heat, it also causes a rise in the pressure loss which is undesirable. Therefore, to combat the problem of high pressure drop, this thesis explores the use of a passive enhancement technique to improve heat transfer. The aim of this thesis is to experimentally investigate the effect of dimple-protrusion surfaces in a counter flow type heat exchanger. The flow behavior is studied using Laser Doppler Anemometry and the local heat transfer characteristics are investigated with the help of Infrared thermography. The average Nusselt number and friction factor data is compared with those of a flat plate and it is found that the use of dimple-protrusion surfaces provide maximum improvement in the performance of the heat exchanger by 21% in the laminar-to-turbulent transition regime, at Reynolds number of approximately 2900.Mechanical Engineering | Energy and Process Technolog

No full textBackground: Fracture problems can changes in Bio-Psycho-Spiritual because there are musculoskeletal disorders that impact daily activities. These changes certainly require a good adaptation process in patients with fractures to change maladaptive behavior to adaptive in order to improve the patient's health status. For this reason, this final scientific work aims to analyze cases of management of patients with closed left humerus fractures using the Roy Adaptation Model theoretical approach.
Method: The research method used in preparing this Final Scientific Work uses a case study report. The author follows the scientific method according to the rules of the Nursing Process which includes: Assessment, Data Analysis, Nursing Diagnosis, Nursing Intervention, Nursing Implementation, and Evaluation. In the assessment process, the author used various data collection techniques such as Anamnesis, Observation, Documentation Study and Physical Examination to collected data from patients, namely Mrs. N.
Results: After providing nursing care for 4 consecutive days, the author raised 5 nursing diagnoses, namely: Acute Pain, Skin Integrity Disorders, Physical Mobility Disorders, Knowledge Deficit About Worshiping When Sick, and Risk of Infection. Of the 5 Nursing Diagnoses, 1 Nursing Diagnosis was resolved and 4 Nursing Diagnoses were partially resolved.
Conclussion: Nursing care using the Roy Adaptation Model approach can be applied to nursing care for fracture patients, because it meets all aspects of patient needs comprehensively including physiological needs, self-concept, adaptation and interdependence

The writer chose sales letters collected from internet forum Warrior Forum as the research materials. The focus of the article is how the sales letter writers influence the potential customers and what social role is played among the participants in sales letter. The author uses interpersonal meaning theory in systemic functional linguistics. The writer restricts the issue only on an analysis of the mood types, social relationships between the participants and text type.
The purpose of this paper is to find the structure and interpersonal meaning of the sales letters existed in the Warrior Forum. The analysis show that the interpersonal meaning in sales letter is to persuade potential buyers to purchase the product seller. Sales letter writers also use informal language and show a friendly and credible impression to the prospective buyers even though they are not familiar with each other. The analysis also show that sales letter is a spoken text

Companies need to know how to measure these constructs from the consumer's perspective to understand their needs better and thus satisfy them. Service quality is considered very important as it leads to higher customer satisfaction, profitability, lower costs, customer
loyalty, and customer retention. Through reviewing the present later, the author determined the significance of service quality within the health care sector and learned the importance of ultrasonography experience for mothers. Hence, the study's main purpose was to examine how expectant mothers perceive the service quality of private healthcare hospitals in Karachi city by investigating their service perceptions and expectations. The mixed-method research design was applied, followed by the first phase of the quantitative approach to collect a general understanding of the sample population over the research idea through survey questionnaires. Qualitative data was collected to explore the reasons underlying the quantitative results and enrich the interpretation of quantitative data. The gap score calculated is -0.89, suggesting that the mother's expectation of the perceived service is higher than the experienced service. Furthermore, many challenges were identified associated with the service delivery experience and faced by mothers as service receivers and healthcare officials as service providers. The application of this model in evaluating service quality and customer satisfaction from the consumer's point of view results, among other things, in knowing the customer's perception of service quality customers' perceptions of service quality, attempting to meet and manage customer expectations, improving quality management by identifying areas of weakness in meeting customer needs
