Get PDFLos adolescentes usualmente no cuentan con los medios apropiados para afrontar una sexualidad sana, debido a esto surgen circunstancias no planificadas, como los embarazos precoces y las complicaciones propias de la gravidez que, particularmente cuando se presentan a esta edad elevan el riesgo de atentar contra la integridad de la gestante o el feto, como es el caso de la diabetes gestacional. El objetivo del proyecto consistió en aplicar estrategias de educación sexual mediante la aplicación de un taller con el fin de disminuir el riesgo de diabetes gestacional en las adolescentes de la Unidad Educativa Dagoberto Montenegro, se valoró el grado de conocimiento sobre temas de sexualidad, estado nutricional y evaluación del nivel de riesgo de padecer diabetes gestacional en las estudiantes. La metodología aplicada en el proyecto de investigación fue cuantitativa, de tipo descriptiva, transversal y de investigación – acción; se contó para el estudio con una muestra de 63
estudiantes, distribuidos en 38 varones y 25 mujeres, el 97% de 10 a 14 años. Como resultado, 14% manifestaron tener una vida sexual activa; los cuales no recibían información sobre sexualidad frecuentemente, principalmente la obtenían de los docentes y padres, el 27% presentaron sobrepeso, el 19% ingieren principalmente frituras. Se concluyó que las estudiantes tienen un riesgo elevado de padecer diabetes gestacional, debido a los antecedentes familiares de diabetes presentes (43%), así como por el índice de sobrepeso y bajo peso, la inadecuada alimentación y los casos de jóvenes que tienen antecedentes de hiperglicemia en controles médicos previos (16%)

organización de los puntos de vacunación del Cantón Santa Elena, ya que estos no
percibían los problemas de tipo administrativo y operativo en el control de las fases
de vacunación, proceso de vacunación, atención al usuario y la organización del
espacio físico. El objetivo general fue determinar la influencia del Coaching
Personal en la percepción de la organización de puntos de vacunación con personal
de Prefectura del Cantón Santa Elena, 2021. La metodología fue cuasiexperimental
con enfoque cuantitativo y aplicada; la muestra consistió en 20 trabajadores de los
puntos de vacunación, al azar se escogieron 10 participantes para el grupo control
y 10 para el grupo experimental con similares características. Los resultados se
reflejaron mediante la Prueba U de Mann-Whitney (O1 y O2; O2 y O4) que dejó
valor de p = <,001 en ambas comparaciones y la diferencia de porcentajes del grupo
experimental y control fue 100% en la hipótesis general. Se concluyó que el

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Get PDFEl cáncer de cuello uterino genera una considerable morbimortalidad en poblaciones con escasos recursos y un acceso limitado a la salud reproductiva. El objetivo de este artículo fue analizar la prevención primaria del cáncer de cuello uterino mediante la revisión de estrategias contemporáneas. Para ello, se planteó una revisión sistemática de 20 estudios recientes. En los resultados se evidenció una diversidad geográfica de la investigación, con predominio de revisiones sistemáticas y estudios cuasiexperimentales enfocados en la vacunación y el tamizaje; la mayoría de autores resaltó la relevancia de la genotipificación y la educación intercultural como factores clave; asimismo, se observó un creciente interés en herramientas tecnológicas como la IA y auto-toma, así como el rol de alianzas público-privadas para maximizar la eficacia de la prevención primaria. En conclusión, la sinergia entre enfoques de vacunación, tamizaje, educación y respaldo político optimiza la contención y ofrece un marco sólido para la sostenibilidad de las intervenciones preventivas

Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
