IMPLEMENTASI “TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP” DALAM PENGEMBANGAN MUTU AKADEMIK DI UII YOGYAKARTA
Peneltian ini memaparkan tentang kepemimpinan transformasional dilihat dari empat aspek dalam pengembangan mutu akademik pendidikan tinggi yang dilakukan di kampus UII Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini hendak menjawab pokok masalah tentang bagaimana Implementasi aspek pengaruh ideal-kharisma pimpinan UII Yogyakarta, bagaimana implementasi aspek rangsangan intelektual pimpinan UII Yogyakarta, bagaimana implementasi aspek pertimbangan individu pimpinan UII Yogyakarta, bagaimana model kepemimpinan transformasional dalam pengembangan mutu akademik di UII Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan aspek tentang kepemimpinan transformasional di UII Yogyakarta dalam pengembangan mutu akademik, menganalisis aspek kepemimpinan transformasional dalam pengembangan mutu akademik, pengembangan model hipotetik tentang kepemimpinan transformasional di UII Yogyakarta secara menyeluruh dalam pengembangan mutu akademik, serta membuat model pengembangan mutu akademik berbasik kepemimpinan transformasional. Dalam penelitian digunakan penelitian kualitatif, dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan pengamatan yang sudah dituliskan dalam cacatan lapangan, dokumen pribadi, dokumen resmi. Berdasarkan hasil temuan penelitian menunjukan bahwa Upaya yang dilakukan oleh UII melakukan perubahan sistem organisasi dengan mempertimbangkan perkembangan yang terjadi baik pada lingkungan internal maupun eksternal merupakan langkah maju dan strategis, dengan prilaku aspek kepemimpinan transformasional dalam kepemimpinan. Begitu pula dalam proses kepemimpinan di UII Yogyakarta mampu bersaing di internasional dalam sistem pengembangan mutu akademik. Peneliti merekomendasikan agar implementasi kepemimpinan transformasional dapat diterapakan secara menyeluruh dikalangan akademisi, sehingga pengembangan mutu akademik dipendidikan tinggi mampu bersaing di dunia global.-----Bambang Ismaya, (2017). This study presents about transformational leadership seen from four aspects in the development of academic quality of higher education conducted in the campus of UII Yogyakarta. This research is about to answer the point about how to implement the aspect of the influence of the ideals of UII Yogyakarta leadership, how to implement aspects of intellectual stimulation of UII Yogyakarta leadership, how to implement aspects of individual considerations of UII Yogyakarta leaders, how to model transformational leadership in academic quality development at UII Yogyakarta. This study aims to describe aspects of transformational leadership at UII Yogyakarta in developing academic quality, analyzing transformational leadership aspects in academic quality development, developing hypothetical model of transformational leadership at UII Yogyakarta as a whole in academic quality development, and making model of academic quality development of transformational leadership . In the research used qualitative research, with case study approach. Data collection is done by observation, interviews and observations already written in field records, personal documents, official documents. Based on the findings of research shows that the efforts made by UII to change the organizational system by considering the development that occurs both in the internal and external environment is a step forward and strategic, with the behavior of transformational leadership aspects in leadership. Similarly, in the leadership process at UII Yogyakarta is able to compete internationally in academic quality development system. Researchers recommend that the implementation of transformational leadership can be applied thoroughly among academics, so that the development of academic quality in high education can compete in the global world
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. PELATIHAN PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI SUMBER DAYA MANUSIA DALAM PENDIDIKAN MASYARAKAT INDUSTRI
Kualitas sumber daya masyarakat industri yang memiliki kompetensi dan mampu bekerja secara profesional, hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan dunia pendidikan. pendidikan masyarakat sehingga mampu memotivasi masyarakat. Salah satu kendala dalam proses peningkatan mutu pendidikan masyarakat industri di Kabupaten Karawang. Posisi kawasan tersebut merupakan kawasan pertanian yang telah bergeser menjadi kawasan industri. Dalam masa transisi, akhirnya belum mampu mengubah pola kehidupan, termasuk meningkatkan standar pendidikan dan ekonomi, baik secara kualitas maupun kuantitas.Metode; Program yang dilaksanakan yaitu kegiatan sebagai berikut. Pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi masyarakat industri. Pelatihan kewirausahaan dan peluang usaha rumahan, sehingga membuka pikiran dan menumbuhkan minat dan motivasi untuk menjadi wirausaha. Pelatihan pemasaran. Materi tentang prinsip dasar pemasaran produk, bertujuan agar mitra mengetahui cara pengemasan dan strategi pemasaran produk yang baik, sehat dan menarik. Pelatihan ini disampaikan dalam bentuk ceramah dan tanya jawab kepada peserta. Penyuluhan dan pendampingan pengelolaan keuangan agar mitra dapat melakukan pengelolaan usaha.
Hasil: Dari kegiatan ini, dihasilkan beberapa kontribusi sebagai berikut: terciptanya pemahaman tentang makna pendidikan masyarakat industri berkualitas di kalangan masyarakat, terwujudnya komitmen pemerintah daerah untuk mewujudkan pendidikan berkualitas guna memenuhi kebutuhan dan tuntutan warganya dan pemangku kepentingan lainnya, membangun kesadaran masyarakat untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam mewujudkan pendidikan yang berdaya saing global. Kesimpulan; Kegiatan ini menghasilkan beberapa kontribusi bagi terciptanya pemahaman tentang makna Peningkatan Motivasi Sumber Daya Manusia Dalam Pendidikan Masyarakat Industri. Di Kabupaten Karawang Realisasi komitmen pemerintah. Kesadaran masyarakat untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam mewujudkan pendidikan masyarakat industri. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
