Boosted objects and jet substructure at the LHC. Report of BOOST2012, held at IFIC Valencia, 23rd–27th of July 2012
Altheimer, A. et al.This report of the BOOST2012 workshop presents the results of four working groups that studied key aspects of jet substructure. We discuss the potential of first-principle QCD calculations to yield a precise description of the substructure of jets and study the accuracy of state-of-the-art Monte Carlo tools. Limitations of the experiments’ ability to resolve substructure are evaluated, with a focus on the impact of additional (pile-up) proton proton collisions on jet substructure performance in future LHC operating scenarios. A final section summarizes the lessons learnt from jet substructure analyses in searches for new physics in the production of boosted top quarks. We thank the Spanish Center for Particle Physics,
Astroparticle and Nuclear Physics (CPAN), the regional government (Generalitat Valenciana), Heidelberg University and IFIC (U. Valencia/CSIC) for their generous support of the BOOST2012 conference.Peer reviewe
Workshop on the Open Archives Initiative (OAI) and peer review journals in Europe : a report
A workshop on the Open Archives Initiative and Peer Review Journals in Europe was held at CERN, in Geneva, from March 22nd to 24th. The purpose of this workshop was to mobilise a group of European scientists and librarians who want to play an active role in organizing a self-managed system for electronic scholarly communication. Such a system should be compliant with the technical standards proposed by the Open Archives Initiative (OAI). The immediate deployment of OAI-compliant e-print repositories was a concrete objective of the workshop. The workshop had a second (exploratory) objective, related to the certification of writings submitted to archives
Author Rights: Undergraduate Workshop
Workshop given to undergraduate students on November 16, 2016. The workshop provides information about general copyright and author rights for undergraduate students interested in publishing in academic journals and monographs

Getting Published: Journey into a Relationship between Editor and Author
Last year at the Inaugural TQR Conference, Sally and Dan conducted a workshop entitled Getting Published: Journey into an Editor\u27s Mind, highlighting what an editor thinks when she/he reviews a submitted manuscript to TQR. For the 2011 TQR Conference we will offer a variation of this presentation by including the voice of an author. Our workshop is entitled Getting Published: Journey into a Relationship between Editor and Author. In this workshop we will present a conversation between an author (Paige) and editor (Sally) to reveal an example of a relationship that develops between the two during the process of editorial review at TQR
