La recepción de la obra de Jean-Baptiste Say en España: la teoría económica del empresario

    No full text
This paper illustrates the spread of Jean-Baptiste Say’s entrepreneur theory in Spain –a last contribution within the French tradition in which Richard Cantillon and A. R. J. Turgot were predecessors. We attempt to demonstrate that this is a special case, because, even though J. B. Say was the most important author from a publishing point of view, his economic theory of entrepreneurship had very little influence. The spread of economic ideas by way of translation and Spanish authors which employed J. B. Say’s economic theory, give possible explanations to a paradox which had left economic policy without a theoretical reference. We analyse how Say’s entrepreneur theory was received among Spanish authors in the 19th century, its degree of comprehension and the analytical additions made, and attempt to identify the real source of transmission

WOS: 000302452600014PubMed ID: 22382092In the present study, we have focused our attention to prepare molecular imprinted composite cryogel membranes for purification of hepatitis B surface antibody (anti-HBs) by fast protein liquid chromatography. Before the preparation of the molecular imprinted composite cryogel membranes (MI-CMs) by free radical polymerization at sub-zero temperature, we have synthesized and characterized the anti-HBs imprinted particles. Then, the cryogel membranes (CMs) were characterized by swelling test, scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Prior to chromatographic purification studies, the effective parameters on the anti-HBs adsorption process were evaluated by investigating the dependency of the adsorption capacity on flow-rate, anti-HBs concentration, contact time and ionic strength. The maximum anti-HBs adsorption capacity was calculated as 701.4 mIU/g CM. The selectivity of the MI-CMs was shown by competitive adsorption of anti-HBs, total anti-hepatitis A antibody (anti-HAV) and total immunoglobulin E (IgE) adsorption studies. The MI-CMs have relative selectivity coefficients as 5.45 for anti-HBs/total anti-HAV and 9.05 for anti-HBs/total IgE, respectively. The phosphate buffer solution (pH 7.4) containing 1.0 M NaCl was used for elution, almost completely, of adsorbed anti-HBs molecules. The MI-CMs could be used many times without any significant decrease in the adsorption capacity. The chromatographic purification performances of the MI-CMs were also investigated. The chromatographic parameters such as capacity and separation factors, the theoretical plate number and resolution of the MI-CMs were calculated as 5.48, 6.02, 1153.9, and 1.72 for anti-HBs molecules, respectively. As a conclusion, we can say that the MI-CMs could be used for specific purification of anti-HBs from anti-HBs positive human plasm

Abstract Before he was the author of the famous Traité d'économie politique of 1803. J.-B. Say was one of the Décade philosophique, the publication of the Idéologues. So was he one of those people which tried, after Thermidor, to consolidate the ideals of the Revolution. This purpose leads him to write, in 1799, an Utopia : « Olbie ou essai sur les moyens de réformer les mœurs d'un peuple. This work is to-day rather forgotten. Carrying through a point of view which was rather new in France. Say tried to think a free and harmonious society by working up the principles of political economy. So appears Olbie as a philosophical founding writing of the coming economic work of Say - a work which needs so to be readed again.Abstract Before he was the author of the famous Traité d'économie politique of 1803. Preparation of new molecularly imprinted nanosensor for cholic acid determination

WOS: 000301214700023Molecular imprinted polymers (MIPs) as a recognition element for sensors are increasingly of interest and MIP-nanoparticles have started to appear in the literature. In this study, we have proposed a novel thiol ligand-capping method with polymerizable methacryloylamido-cysteine (MAC) attached to gold nanoparticles, reminiscent of a self-assembled monolayer and have reconstructed surface shell by synthetic host polymers based on molecular imprinting method for recognition. In this method, methacryloylamidohistidine-Pt(II) [MAH-Pt(II)] has used as a new metal-chelating monomer via metal coordination-chelation interactions and cholic acid. Nanoshell sensors with templates give a cavity that is selective for cholic acid. The cholic acid can simultaneously chelate to Pt(II) metal ion and fit into the shape-selective cavity. Thus, the interaction between Pt(II) ion and free coordination spheres has an effect on the binding ability of the gold nanoparticles nanosensor. The binding affinity of the cholic acid imprinted nanoparticles has investigated by using the Langmuir and Scatchard methods and determined affinity constant (K-affinity) were found as 1.48 x 10(4) mol L-1 and 6.59 x 10(6) mol L-1, respectively. At the last step of this procedure, cholic acid level in blood serum and urine which belong to healthy people was determined by the prepared Au nanosenso

Théorie du système monétaire chez J.-B. Say: J.-B. Say : Nouveaux regards sur son œuvre

International audienceThe questions approached on this text concern the classic monetary doctrine. J.-B. Say occupies an original place in the theoretical formulations of this time on three fundamental questions of the economic theory: 1) the nature of the currency, 2) the, quantitative theory 3) the role of the currency in the inflation and the crises. 1) The first presented thesis is that the value of the currency at J.-B. Say is not based on the production cost but on the offer and the demand of these particular goods. 2) The second door on its formulation of the quantitative theory.3) The third draft of the role of the currency in the crises. These three points had been already the object of developments and analyses detailed in our thesis supported in 1994. We tempt here a synthesis of the whole theoretical approach of J.-B. Say. The totality of the used materials dan the quotations of the publishing(editions) of the Treaty or of Suit Courts is pulled by our thesis. The accessible manuscripts did not modify this point of view. However when the correspondence will have been collected and the edition of the Treaty variorum realized, some people points will can and will doubtless be rediscutés.
