Hand-held spectrophotometer design for textile fabrics
In this study, a hand-held spectrophotometer was designed by taking advantage of the developments in modern optoelectronic technology. Spectrophotometer devices are used to determine the color information from the optic properties of the materials. As an alternative to a desktop spectrophotometer device we have implemented, it is the first prototype, low cost and portable. The prototype model designed for the textile industry can detect the color tone of any fabric. The prototype model consists of optic sensor, processor, display floors. According to the color applied on the optic sensor, it produces special frequency information on its output at that color value. In Arduino type processor, the frequency information is evaluated by the program we have written and the color tone information between 0-255 ton is decided and displayed on the screen

The Contradictions of Free Market System and The Impacts of FDI and Foreign Trade on Economy
This paper examines the effects of the FDI and foreign trade (Exports and Imports) as well as their importance in international economic activities. A central subject the study is to examine the impact of FDI and foreign trade on the growth and prosperity status of countries. Whereby the paper examines the role of international business on the developing progress of countries. The economic growth of a country depends on the quantity and productivity of the economic factors. For that reason FDI and Import-Export are most significant economic activities, which have substantial effects on the quantity as well as quality of economic factors in any country. On the other side, customs union, quotas and regional trade pacts deactivate partly or in some cases even completely the projected effects of Smith’s absolute and Ricardo’s comparative advantages theories in the international production cooperation. The study examines this situation from a modern economic point of view
Impact of flexible and non-flexible classroom environments on learning of undergraduate students
The physical factors, which were studied less often than the other factors affecting students' learning, were considered in this study. The present study investigated the effect of the flexibility and non-flexibity of the physical classroom setting on undergraduate students' learning. The study adopted a mixed-method research design. The quantitative phase of the study employed the quasi-experimental method of research utilizing the pretest-posttest non-equivalent groups design. T Test and the Repeated Measures ANOVA test was used to compare the group means. In the qualitative phase of the study, the students received a questionnaire with open-ended questions to gather their opinions, and the data were analysed in NVIVO 11. There was no significant difference between the experimental and control groups in terms of learning; however, the achievement scores of both groups were found to be high. Furthermore, the views received from both groups indicated that the physical environment influenced learning in terms of motivation and enthusiasm. © 2019 The Author(s).* This study has been supported by Mus Alparslan University Scientific Research Coordination Unit. 30 dB microstrip coupler with high directivity
Due to the inhomogeneous structure of microstrip directional couplers, i.e. partly dielectric substrate, partly air, they mostly present property of poor directivity and low coupling level. The high directivity is achieved by a capacitive compensation by gap coupling of open stub formed in a sub-coupled line. Nevertheless, these couplers have the advantage of easy fabrication, lightweight, and incorporation with other microwave devices and are validated via design using Sonnet software. The main goal was to obtain coupling around -30 dB, meaning that almost all power is passed to the output, with a wide band; from around 3.5GHz to nearly 9GHz. Desired values have been obtained, including isolation and input match reaching -70 dB
New Self-Dual and Formally Self-Dual Codes from Group Ring Constructions
This is a pre-copy-editing, author-produced PDF of an article accepted for publication in Advances in Mathematics of Communications following peer review. The definitive publisher-authenticated version Dougherty, S., Gildea, J., Kaya, A., & Yildiz, B. (2019). New Self-Dual and Formally Self-Dual Codes from Group Ring Constructions. Advances in Mathematics of Communications will be available when published online at http://www.aimsciences.org/journal/1930-5346In this work, we study construction methods for self-dual and formally self-dual
codes from group rings, arising from the cyclic group, the dihedral group, the dicyclic
group and the semi-dihedral group. Using these constructions over the rings
and , we obtain 9 new extremal binary self-dual codes of length 68 and 25
even formally self-dual codes with parameters [72,36,14]
Att öka på konkurrenskraft genom att arbeta med CSR : En jämförande studie av tre olika fastighetsbolag
Title: “To gain competitiveness by working with CSR” a comparative study of real estate concerns. Level: Student thesis, final assignment for Bachelor Degree in Business Administration Author: Dilan Yildiz, Filip Andric Supervisor: Zahra Ahmadi Date: 2018- may Aim: The aim of the study is to gain knowledge for how real estate concerns work with CSR to strengthen their brand and to gain competitiveness. Method: The study uses a qualitative method with an inductive research approach. The empirical data consists of ten semi- structured interviews conducted with employees of three different real estate concerns. Result & Conclusions: The study shows that real estate concerns work with three dimensions of CSR but of different perspectives and ranges. Furthermore the study shows that real estate concerns mainly work with the environmental dimension of CSR and that working with environmental certifications is a vital factor for the organizations competitiveness and image. Contribution of the thesis: The thesis has contributed with new knowledge about how real estate concerns work with CSR and how they implement it to gain competitiveness by communicating it through their brand. Suggestions for future research: The thesis was limited to three real estate concerns that were located in the midst of Sweden. Future research could therefore include more companies and also companies that are located in different parts of Sweden for a greater variety. Key words: CSR, brand, image, competitiveness, sustainabilit

Altered gut microbiota in patients with idiopathic Parkinson’s disease: an age–sex matched case–control study
© 2023, The Author(s) under exclusive licence to Belgian Neurological Society. Objective: The investigations related to how gut microbiota changes the brain–gut axis in idiopathic Parkinson’s disease (PD) attract growing interest. We aimed to determine whether gut microbiota is altered in PD patients and whether non-motor symptoms of PD and disease duration had any relation with alterations of microbiota profiles among patients. Methods: Microbial taxa in stool samples obtained from 84 subjects (42-PD patients and 42-healthy spouses) were analyzed using 16S rRNA amplicon-sequencing. Results: We observed a significant decrease of Firmicutes and a significant increase of Verrucomicrobiota at the phylum level. At the family level, Lactobacillaceae and Akkermansiaceae were significantly increased and Coriobacteriales Incertae Sedis were significantly decreased in the PD patients compared to their healthy spouses. Genus level comparison inferred significant increase in abundance only in Lactobacillus while the abundance of Lachnospiraceae ND3007 group, Tyzzerella, Fusicatenibacter, Eubacterium hallii group and Ruminococcus gauvreauii group were all decreased. We determined that the abundance of Prevotella genus decreased, but not significantly in PD patients. In addition, we found differences in microbiota composition between patients with and without non-motor symptoms. Conclusion: We observed differences in gut microbiota composition between PD patients and their healthy spouses. Our findings suggest that disease duration influenced microbiota composition, which in turn influenced development of non-motor symptoms in PD. This study is the first in terms of both gut microbiota research in Turkish PD patients and the probable effect of microbiota on non-motor symptoms of PD
