Estimation and measurement of effective line mobility on a non-deterministic thin plate excited by a piezoelectric patch
This paper derived the expression to estimate the effective line moment mobility of a non-deterministic thin plate under moment excitation by a piezoelectric patch actuator. The piezoelectric patch actuator is assumed to generate purely line moments at each of its edges and regarded as a finite number of point moments acting on an infinite plate, which is achieved by integration method. The theoretical model is validated using MATLAB simulation and compared with experimental measurements on a randomized thin plate. The derived effective line moment mobility managed to closely estimate high-frequency response while cutting significant computational time and resource. Results from this study can be used in many applications ranging from vibration isolation where power transmission between the isolator with an area distribution and its host structure can be determined more accurately, and to design the optimal shunt circuit of a piezoelectric shunt damper for maximum power dissipation in order to reduce vibration of a non-deterministic thin plate
Optimal piezoelectric shunt dampers for non‑deterministic substructure vibration control: estimation and parametric investigation
Piezoelectric (PZT) shunt damping is an effective method to dissipate energy from a vibrating structure; however, most of the applications focus on targeting specific modes for structures vibrating at low-frequency range, i.e. deterministic substructure (DS). To optimally attenuate structures vibrating at high-frequency range, i.e. non-deterministic substructure (Non-DS) using a PZT shunt damper, it is found that the impedance of the PZT patch’s terminal needs to be the complex conjugate of its inherent capacitance paralleled with the impedance ‘faced’ by its non-deterministic host structure underline moment actuation. The latter was derived in terms of estimation of the effective line moment mobility of a PZT patch on a Non-DS plate by integrating the expression of driving point moment mobility of an infinite thin plate. This paper conducts a parametric investigation to study the effect of changing the size, quantity and configuration of the PZT patch to the performance of the optimal PZT shunt dampers in dissipating the energy of its non-deterministic host structure. Results are shown in terms of energy reduction ratio of the thin plate when attached with optimal PZT shunt damper(s)
Optimization in active vibration control: virtual experimentation using COMSOL multiphysics - MATLAB integration
This paper demonstrates optimization of collocated sensor-actuator location and the controller gains of active vibration control system. Ant colony optimization algorithm is employed for this purpose. Instead of using equation-based modeling for the system, the plant is a finite element model developed in COMSOL Multiphysics software, which later interfaced with the MATLAB-coded optimization algorithm using the Livelink for MATLAB feature. The benchmark model is a simply supported thin plate excited and attenuated by two piezoelectric patches. The optimization is based on the average energy reduction across a frequency range between 11 Hz to 50 Hz, which covers the first three modes. It is found that the maximum attenuation achieved is 68.31% using optimal values of sensor-actuator location and controller gains
Ant colony optimization for controller and sensor-actuator location in active vibration control
Developing light weight yet stronger and more flexible panels in aircraft structure to with stand from failure due to vibration has been the interest of many researchers nowadays. Piezoelectric material has been the popular choice to attenuate vibration actively and numerous techniques of optimal control and actuator placement have been proposed. This paper discusseson active vibration control of a simply supported thin plate excited and actuated by piezoelectric patches. Mathematical model of the simply supported plate with piezoelectric patches is derived using Euler-Bernoulli model. The main focus is to find the optimal location of the collocated sensor-actuatorand controller gains using a swarm intelligent algorithm called Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) which later verified with Genetic Algorithm (GA). A simply supported plate is taken as a benchmark model to perform simulation study
PESANTREN DAN PELANGGARAN HAM (Studi Analisa Tentang Ta’zir dalam Pesantren Salafy)
Abstrac
Human rights are basic rights that are inherent and universal in human beings. In Indonesia, human rights have been protected by the laws that originate and lead to “Pancasila†. No one can interfere with human rights or eliminate its. In this contemporary era, many practitioners and education thinkers, who analyze about Ta'zir (A punishment) applied to Islamic boarding schools, especially in Islamic boarding schools with typology of salafy. Some people argue that Ta'zir is a form of human rights violations, others say there are not. In this discussion the author tries to provide an analysis related to Ta'zir which is a punishment given to students who violate the rules in the Islamic Boarding School, Is it included in the category of human rights violations that must be eliminated. Or is it just a learning method that aims to provide a deterrent effect on students who break the rules.

Abstrak
HAM merupakan hak dasar yang kodratnya melekat pada diri manusia dan bersifat universal serta langgeng. HAM di Indonesia dilindungi oleh UU yang bersumber serta bermuara pada Pancasila. Tidak ada satupun manusia yang boleh mengganggu ataupun menghilangkan hak asasi manusia (HAM). Banyak Praktisi dan pemikir pendidikan dizaman kontemporer ini yang menganalisa tentang Ta’zir (Sebuah hukuman) yang di terapkan pada pondok pesantren terutama pada pesantren yang ber-tipologi salafy. Sebagian berpendapat bahwa ta’zir merupakan salah satu bentuk pelanggaran HAM, sebagian lain mengatakan tidak terdapat pelanggaran HAM. Pada pembahasan ini penulis mencoba untuk memberikan analisa terkait Ta’zir yaitu sebuah hukuman yang diberikan kepada santri yang melanggar aturan dalam Pesantren, apakah termasuk dalam kategori pelanggaran HAM sehingga harus dihapuskan. Ataukah memang hanya sebuah metode pembelajaran yang bertujuan untuk memberikan efek jera pada santri pelanggar aturan.

DEVELOPMENT OF SHAPE MEMORY ALLOY (SMA) BASED ARTIFICIAL MUSCLE FOR APPLICATION IN SOFT GRIPPER
Soft robotics is a branch of robotics that utilize soft materials instead of the common rigid links. Shape memory alloy (SMA) wire has the advantage of being compact and lightweight, as they only require simple control circuits and current input however has the drawback of low actuation force due to intrinsic softness. In this research, the use of SMA wire as artificial muscle embedded in silicone for application in a soft gripper is investigated. Simulation studies are done on different configurations of SMA wire embedded in silicone to determine the maximum tip displacement produced. It is found that single U-shape SMA wire configuration has the highest tip displacement compared to others. Experimental studies are conducted to see the mechanical response of various configurations of SMA wires embedded in silicone fingers. It is found that the double-planar-U-shape trapezoidal finger has the highest tip force followed by the single-U-shape and single-straight where the maximum tip force measured are 1.92 N, 1.03 N, and 0.44 N, respectively. For bending angle, the double-planar-U-shape trapezoidal finger produced the highest bending angle (270°) followed by the single-U-shape (88°) and single-straight (65°). Two different assemblies of SMA soft gripper which consists of three SMA fingers each are fabricated, complete with its actuation system. From performance measurement, it is found that the individual SMA finger can withstand a maximum of 200g weight before deforming while the maximum weight the soft gripper can hold is 763 g before slipping. The capability of the grippers to grasp objects of different shapes is tested and it is found that the triangular gripper is better at grasping cubical and spherical objects while the parallel gripper is better at grasping cylindrical and long objects. The proposed SMA finger design and gripper assembly can help to improve the performance of SMA-based soft grippers for various applications.This research is funded by IIUM Research Management Centre Grant 2020 (RMCG) grant no. Perbedaan suhu pada reefer container dengan refeer cargo manifest memang lazim terjadi, namun harus segera di tanggulangi. Perbedaan suhu akan berpengaruh pada kinerja kapal terutama pada saat kapal sedang muat. Setiap permasalahan yang timbul dalam kegiatan bongkar muat berpotensi untuk meningkatkan dwelling time sehingga menimbulkan kerugian terutama bagi pemilik kapal maupun pemilik barang. Seluruh risiko yang timbul mengakibatkan kerugian waktu dan biaya, peran seorang perwira yang mengerti mengenai masalah ini sangat diperlukan.
Perbedaan suhu yang pernah penulis alami sewaktu melaksanakan praktek bukan murni kesalahan dari kapal. Namun, darat juga berpengaruh dalam terjadinya perbedaan suhu tersebut. Faktor-faktor yang penulis temukan baik dari kapal maupun dari darat antara lain: Kesalahan saat membuat reefer cargo manifest, kesalahan saat mengatur suhu reefer container, perubahan cuaca, kerusakan pada mesin reefer dan alat-alat kelistrikan kapal.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan masalah mengenai perbedaan suhu dan dampak-dampaknya, terjadi perbedaan suhu di MV. Sendang Mas adalah diakibatkan karena terjadinya kerusakan pada mesin reefer container dan alat – alat kelistrikan di kapal terutama kompresor dan plug yang konslet terbakar karena terkena air hujan di MV. Sendang Mas pada tanggal 01 November 2016 sampai tanggal 01 November 2017 pada saat pelayaran dari Pelabuhan Bitung, Indonesia menuju Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok, Indonesia dan saat kapal muat di Bitung pada tanggal 30 maret 2017. Dari kasus tersebut MV. Sendang Mas mengalami perbedaan suhu mengakibatkan kapal mengalami keterlambatan pemberangkatan dan kerugian biaya.
Dengan mengetahui sebab dan akibat yang ditimbulkan oleh masalah yang terjadi, hendaknya segera melakukan perbaikan yang dilakukan oleh pihak kapal. Masalah dari keterlambatan pemberangkatan yang ditimbulkan dari perbedaan suhu perlu dilakukan peninjauan ulang mengenai reefer container, melakukan perundingan bersama, dan peningkatan mutu dan mental perwira sehingga dapat mengatasi masalah yang baik.

The different of temperature at reefer container with temperature at reefer cargo manifest ussually can be happens, it has to be handled soon as. The different temperature will be influenced to vessel’s work system spesially when vessel is loading. Every case which is occured in loading and unloading activity that has potention to increase dwelling time then occure the harmfull particulary the ship owner and good owner.
All risk occured becouse of disadvantage of time and cost, the job an officer who understands about this case is very needed. The different temperature has ever been faced by author when practicing and it’s not pure from the vessel error. But, port also has influenced in case the different temperature itself. Factors that author figur it out from vessel or port is: an error when making reefer cargo manifest, error when arranging reefer container temperature, changes in the weather, damaging on the reefer engine, and electric ships equipment.
Based on reasearch’s result and review the case about the different temperature and these affects, happened the different temperature at MV. Sendang Mas is coused by reefer container engine is damaged and electric ships equipment particulary compressor and plug wich burned by electric becouse of rain waters at MV. Sendang Mas on 01th November 2016 until 01th November 2017 while vessel is sailing from Bitung, Jakarta to Tanjung Priok, Indonesia and when the vessel loading at Bitung, Indonesia on 30th March 2017. From that case MV. Sendang Mas has the different temperature which coused the vessel gets delay departure and cost loss.
By knowing couse and effect which is by the casehappened at least do repairing soon and it is done by ship department. The case from delay departure which is occured by the different temperature needs review about the reefer container, do disscus and officer’s mentaily so it could over comethe good case

PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF GROUP INVESTIGATION (GI) DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEAKTIFAN DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS X SMK N 1 MONDOKAN SRAGEN
The objectives of this research will be : (1) improving the student activity in learning by using Cooperative Learning Group Investigation Model in Vocational Basic Competence Lesson of Light Vehicle Automotive Engineering; (2) understanding the result of teaching learning by using Cooperative Learning Group Investigation Model. This study was a classroom action research method which this research was implemented in two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely the planning stage, the action stage, the observation stage and reflection phase. Subjects of research were students of tenth grade level in SMK Negeri 1 Mondokan Sragen. The data were collected from teacher and students. The techniques of collecting data that the author used were observation, interview and test. The validity of data used the triangulation of sources. The data were analyzed by using descriptive comparative and analytic of qualitative data. The result of this research showed that the use of cooperative learning group investigation model could improve student of activity and the result of learning in cooling technique learning. It could be seen by the increasing student activity and the result of learning in each cycle. At the initial value average, the average activity is 20.17% and the average learning result is 57.18. After the first cycle of action, student activity increased to 56.53% and average learning result increased to 69.68. While the second cycle, student activity increased to 80.11% and average learning result increased to 77.97
