    Tujuan utarna bab ini adalah untuk rnernbincangkan sejauh manakah sikap terhadap wang boleh rnenyederhanakan kesan kepuasan kerja terhadap keinginan untuk berhenti? Hasil kajian ini rnenunjukkan bahawa interaksi di antara kepuasan kerja intrinsik dan sikap terhadap wang tidak rnarnpu rnengurangkan keinginan pekerja untuk berhenti secara sukarela, tetapi interaksi di antara kepuasan kerja ekstrinsik dan sikap terhadap wang rnampu rnengurangkan keinginan pekerja untuk berhenti secara sukarela. Dapatan kajian ini rnengesahkan bahawa sikap terhadap wang bertindak sebagai pembolehubah penyederhana yang berkesan di antara kepuasan kerja dan keinginan pekerja untuk berhenti secara sukarela. Sebaliknya, sikap terhadap wang tidak dapat rnernainkan peranan sebagai pembolehubah penyederhana kurang berkesan di antara kepuasan kerja dan keinginan pekerja untuk berhenti secara sukarela.     Seawater desalination using spiral wound kenaf membrane / Azman Ismail

    Membrane technology is widely used in many industries, such as water treatment and water reclamation plant. The problems with current membrane technology are low flux with low rejection and high fouling. Hence, many researchers develop membranes with different materials to improve membrane performance. The performance of the membrane is depending on material used during membrane fabrication. However, there are still lack of research focusing on using biomaterials. Therefore, this research proposing a new material extracted from Kenaf plant. The material chosen in this study was Polysulfone (PSF), Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC), and N-Methyl 2 Pyrrolidinone (NMP). The objectives are to study the effect of Kenaf Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC) on membrane morphology and membrane performance in terms of water flux and salt rejection. Secondly is to evaluate the performance of the Thin-film Composite of Kenaf Microcrystalline Cellulose membrane. Thirdly is to develop spiral wound Kenaf MCC membrane for desalination and the fourth objective is to evaluate the performance of Kenaf Desalination system in term of water flux and salt rejection. The membranes were fabricated by using a dry-wet phase inversion method using a glass rod and glass plate. The membranes were analysed by using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) to understand the morphology and surface pore size. Three of the membrane samples were then undergone surface treatment using Thin-film Composite (TFC) and tested again using 2000ppm and 35000ppm Sodium Chloride (NaCl) concentration. SEM images show that the membrane exhibits a finger-like structure inside the membrane sublayer. MWCO study shows that all the membranes are in the range of ultrafiltration. Wettability study shows that Kenaf MCC has the highest hydrophilic characteristic, which is 60° contact angle. The highest NaCl rejection was by TFC MK3, which is 98.9% rejection using 1.5 MPa pressure. MCC Kenaf membrane (MK3) shows a good pure water flux value, which is 2.864 L/m²h at 0.5h. Moreover, it was found that increasing Kenaf MCC concentration in dope solution will reduce the rejection because of the MCC characteristics to create bigger pore size. The highest NaCl rejection and water flux is from Spiral-wound Kenaf MCC, which is 66% and 181 L/m2h. These results indicate that the Kenaf Desalination System membrane can be used to remove NaCl in seawater

    Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Comunicação e Expressão, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Letras/Inglês e Literatura Correspondente, Florianópolis, 2007The aim of the present study is to analyse how issues of Albanian national identity are portrayed in Ismail Kadaré's novel Broken April (Prilli i Thyer), and how such features have been appropriated and translated onto the screen into a Northeastern Brazilian context. I depart from the premise that, even though Brazilian elements are indeed shown in the film, the non existence of the Kanun in Brazil, and the use of narrative techniques different from the ones employed in the novel render the story of the blood feuds in the film more universal than the genuinely Albanian reality depicted in the novel. In sum, the appropriation transcends the Albanian reality into a universal context, showing, at the same time, elements which are typical of the Brazilian culture.O objetivo do presente estudo é analisar como questões sobre a identidade nacional Albanesa são retratadas no romance Abril Despedaçado (Prilli i Thyer), de Ismail Kadaré, e como tais questões foram apropriadas e traduzidas para a tela num contexto Nordestino-Brasileiro. O estudo parte do princípio que, embora elementos tipicamente Brasileiros sejam mostrados no filme, a não existência do Kanun no Brasil, e o uso de técnicas narrativas diferentes das empregadas no romance ajudam a deixar a história das brigas de família no filme com um aspecto mais universal do que a realidade genuinamente Albanesa representada na romance. Em suma, a apropriação transcende a realidade Albanesa para um contexto mais universal, sem deixar de mostrar também elementos típicos da cultura Brasileira

    Malaysia adalah sebuah negara yang diberkati dengan bentuk muka bumi bergunung-ganang serta hutan hujan khatulistiwa yang memberi banyak peluang kepada penggemar-penggemar aktiviti mendaki gunung dan meneroka keindahan hutan untuk menjalankan aktiviti mereka. Bermula dengan hobi berlari dan mendaki bukit untuk mengekalkan tahap kecergasan diri, kini hampir setiap bulan saya melakukan aktiviti mendaki gunung bersama rakan-rakan. Pada Sabtu bertarikh 22 Julai 2023 yang lalu, kami seramai 25 orang telah berkesempatan mendaki salah sebuah di antara tujuh gunung tertinggi di Semenanjung Malaysia (lebih dikenali sebagai G7 di kalangan pendaki) yang terletak di sempadan negeri Kelantan dan Perak, iaitu gunung Yong Belar. Ini adalah kali kedua saya mendaki gunung ini selepas kali pertama mendakinya pada tahun 2019. Dengan ketinggian 2,181 meter dari aras laut (mdal), gunung ini adalah gunung ketiga tertinggi di Semenanjung Malaysia selepas Gunung Tahan dan Gunung Korbu, dan merupakan gunung kedua tertinggi di Banjaran Titiwangsa selepas Gunung Korbu. Gunung ini terletak di dalam kawasan Hutan Simpan Kekal (HSK) dan memerlukan permit dari Jabatan Perhutanan untuk mendakinya. Salah satu pintu masuk ke gunung ini terletak di kawasan tanah tinggi Lojing, Kelantan

    Employees’ coaching is an effective management tool to enhance employees’ performance and development. Since 1980, a number of researchers have noted the value of the employees’ coaching relationship, but there is still little evidence regarding what makes employees’ coaching to be effective in Malaysia. Therefore, the study looked at the role of leader coach (supervisory coaching behaviour and autonomy support) toward enhancing employees’ motivation (employees’ self-efficacy) and performance to explore this topic in-depth. Again, the purpose of an immediate supervisor as a coach in a practice context is to help employees to consider how they might work and behave differently with a more effective behaviour and thus lead to better outcomes, without a reliance on the formal authority the manager possesses. The outcomes of using PLS-SEM path model analysis showed three important findings: First, the relationship between supervisory coaching behaviour was not correlated with employees’ self-efficacy. Second, autonomy support was positively correlated with employees’ selfefficacy; and third, employees’ self-efficacy indirectly influences employees’ performance

    Tingkah laku proaktif merupakan elemen perwatakan yang dapat mempengaruhi secara positif kehidupan pekerja dan organisasi. Menurut kajian literatur terkini berkaitan pembangunan sumber manusia, tingkah laku proaktif mempunyai dua elemen yang sangat penting: personaliti proaktif dan rangkaian sosial. Agak menarik apabila kajian yang dilaksanakan baru-baru ini mendapati bahawa pekerja yang boleh menggunakan tingkah laku proaktif secara teratur dalam menjalankan tugas harian mempunyai peluang yang lebih besar untuk meningkatkan kejayaan kerjaya dalam organisasi. Sungguhpun sifat kajian ini pernah dibincangkan, namun peranan tingkah laku proaktif sebagai pemboleh ubah peramal yang penting adalah kurang dibincangkan secara mendalam dalam model pengurusan kerjaya organisasi. Oleh itu, kajian ini telah dilaksanakan untuk mengukur perhubungan antara tingkah laku proaktif dengan kejayaan kerjaya. Kaedah kaji selidik telah digunakan untuk mengumpul data daripada responden yang terdiri daripada para pegawai yang sedang berkhidmat di sebuah institusi agama Islam negeri di selatan Semenanjung Malaysia. Keputusan pengujian model analisis laluan SmartPLS mengesahkan bahawa pekerja yang mengamalkan personaliti proaktif dan rangkaian sosial yang baik berupaya memperoleh kepuasan dalam kerjaya. Sebaliknya, rangkaian sosial yang diamalkan oleh pekerja tidak berupaya mempengaruhi peluang untuk memperoleh kenaikan pangkat dalam organisasi kajian.     According to The World Obesity Federation's 2023 atlas, a global study predicts that more than half the global population will be living with overweight and obesity issues by the year 2035 if prevention, treatment, and support do not improve. Having an ideal body weight is a dream for every person. However, not everyone is naturally blessed with a metabolism that can effortlessly maintain their desired weight. For many individuals, achieving and maintaining a healthy body weight is a real struggle that requires conscious effort and a comprehensive approach. In the pursuit of an ideal body weight, various diet strategies have been suggested for individuals striving to achieve their weight loss objectives, including the keto diet, carbohydrate-restricted diet, fat-restricted diet, high-protein diet, Mediterranean diet, and intermittent fasting.
