Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menjawab permasalahan: bagaimana upaya yang dilakukan MA Al-Asror Semarang dalam menangkal radikalisme melalui kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam? Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya yang dilakukan MA Al-Asror Semarang dalam menangkal radikalisme melalui kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif lapangan dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala madrasah, guru mata pelajaran PAI, dan peserta didik.
Penelitian ini dilakukan di MA Al-Asror. Madrasah ini dipilih karena berada di bawah naungan Badan Pelaksana Penyelenggaraan Pendidikan Ma’arif Nahdlatul Ulama (BPPPMNU) yang merupakan bagian dari NU, salah satu organisasi keagamaan yang menaruh perhatian pada penanaman Islam moderat, damai, dan santun. Madrasah Aliyah dipilih karena peserta didiknya didominasi usia remaja dimana masih mencari jati diri dan masih rentan untuk direkrut gerakan radikal.
Penelitian ini menunjukkan MA Al-Asror melakukan upaya kontra radikalisme yang dikaitkan dengan kurikulum PAI. Nilai-nilai yang ditanamkan yaitu pemahaman jihad inklusif, memupuk toleransi, pemahaman komprehensif tentang khilafah, dan mencegah terorisme kekerasan dalam beragama. Nilai-nilai ini dikaitkan dengan komponen kurikulum (tujuan, strategi, materi, dan evaluasi), kegiatan intrakulikuler dan ekstrakulikuler.
ABSTRACT:
The phenomenon of radicalism is still a serious matter. Radicalism must be resisted not just on the level of action but on the the level of prevention. So it needs to be instilled Islamic values counter radicalism. This research is to answer the problem: how efforts made MA Al-Asror Semarang in counteracting radicalism through Islamic Education curriculum? The purpose of this study is to know the efforts made MA Al-Asror Semarang in counteracting radicalism through the curriculum of Islamic Religious Education. This research is a qualitative field research using case study approach. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation, and documentation. The subjects of this study are the foundation managers, head of madrasah, Islamic Education teachers, and students.
This research was conducted in MA Al-Asror. This Madrasah was chosen because it is under the auspices of the Executive Board of Ma'arif Nahdlatul Ulama (BPPPMNU), which is part of the NU, one of the religious organizations concerned with moderate, peaceful, and polite Islam. Madrasah Aliyah was chosen because the students were dominated by teenagers who were still looking for identity and were still vulnerable to being recruited by radical movements.
The results showed that MA Al-Asror made counter-radical efforts through the PAI curriculum. Embedded values are the understanding of inclusive jihad, fostering tolerance, a comprehensive understanding of the caliphate, and preventing the terrorism of religious violence. These values are associated with curriculum components (objectives, materials, strategies, media, and evaluation), intracurricular and extracurricular activities

Humanisme Pendidikan Islam dalam Serial Anime Naruto
Get PDFThe phenomenon of dehumanization still often occurs in the world of education, in the form of bullying, exclusion and superiority over others. This is an inhumane action and has deviated from Islamic teachings, so it needs to be corrected. The process of humanism in Islamic education can be done in various ways, one of which is through the Naruto anime series. This research aims to analyze the humanist value of Islamic education or the human values contained in the Naruto Anime series. This research is a type of qualitative literature study. So research data is obtained from journals, books and other documents related to research. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique in this research uses pragmatic content analysis. The results of the research show that there are humanist values of Islamic education in the Naruto series which are dominated by hablum mina annas values. In the Naruto series, a process of becoming (becoming) and self-perfection as an individual (self-improvement) is shown. There are six main things that are the focus of humanism in Islamic Education namely, (1) common sense, (2) individualism towards independence, (3) thirst for knowledge, (4) pluralism education, (5) contextualism which is more concerned with functions than symbols, and (6) a balance between reward and punishment

No full textPenelitian ini tentang korelasi antara intensitas membaca Al-Qur’an dengan perilaku keagamaan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 23 Semarang tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perilaku pelajar yang terlihat kian jauh dari nilai-nilai Al-Qur’an. Budaya ketimuran yang mengagungkan sopan santun, saling menghargai, tenggang rasa tampak mulai pudar. Akibatnya Tawuran, kekerasan, amoral antar pelajar sekarang sudah merambah disekitar kita. Al-Qur’an hadir sebagai solusi dan pegangan hidup dalam menghadapi fenomena-fenomena diatas. Ketika siswa didekatkan dengan Al-Qur’an dalam wujud sering membaca Al-Qur’an secara intens, maka perilaku keagamaan siswa akan meningkat. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1. Bagaimanakah intensitas membaca Al-Qur’an siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 23 Semarang tahun ajaran 2014/2015, 2.Bagaimanakah perilaku keagamaan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 23 Semarang tahun ajaran 2014/2015, 3.Apakah terdapat korelasi antara intensitas membaca Al-Qur’an dengan perilaku keagamaan pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 23 Semarang tahun ajaran 2014/2015.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei, dan teknik analisis data korelasi Product Moment, dengan responden sebanyak 146 siswa kelas VIII dari jumlah populasi 256 siswa. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yakni dengan menggunakan random sampling. Sedangkan metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode angket, wawancara bebas dan observasi bebas sebagai pelengkap dan pembanding, serta dokumentasi. Kemudian data yang terkumpul diolah dengan menggunakan analisis statistik.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Intensitas membaca Al-Qur’an siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 23 Semarang tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dengan rata-rata sebesar 60,281 termasuk dalam kategori “sedang” terletak pada interval 42 – 62, sedangkan perilaku keagamaan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 23 Semarang tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dengan rata-rata 83, 479 termasuk dalam kategori “baik” terletak pada interval 78 – 103. Kemudian hasil dari korelasi product moment menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang antara intensitas membaca Al-Qur’an dengan perilaku keagamaan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 23 Semarang ditunjukkan dengan angka koefisien korelasi sebesar r = 0,605 dengan tingkat signifikansi 5% (r tabel = 0,159) Artinya hipotesis yang menyatakan adanya korelasi positif antara intensitas membaca Al-Qur’an dengan perilaku keagamaan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 23 Semarang dapat diterima.
Dengan demikian berarti terdapat korelasi antara intensitas membaca Al-Qur’an dengan perilaku keagamaan signifikan. Tanda positif pada koefisien korelasi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang searah antara intensitas membaca Al-Qur’an dengan perilaku keagamaan. Hal ini berarti semakin intens membaca Al-Qur’an maka akan semakin baik pula perilaku keagamaannya
HUMANISME PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DALAM SERIAL ANIME NARUTO
Get PDFFenomena dehumanisasi masih kerap terjadi di dunia pendidikan, baik itu berupa
perundungan, pengucilan, dan superioritas terhadap orang lain. Hal ini merupakan tindakan
yang tidak humanis dan telah nelenceng dari ajaran Islam, sehingga perlu untuk dilakukan
perbaikan. Proses humanisme pendidikan Islam dapat melalui berbagai cara, salah satunya
melalui serial anime Naruto. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis nilai humanisme
pendidikan Islam atau nilai kemanusiaan yang terdapat pada serial Anime Naruto. Penelitian
ini mrupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif studi kepustakaan. Sehingga data penelitian diperoleh
dari jurnal-jurnal, buku dan dokumen lainnya yang terkait dengan penelitian. Sedangkan
teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis isi pragmatik. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa terdapat nilai humanisme Pendidikan Islam pada serial Naruto yang
didominasi oleh nilai-nilai hablum mina annas. Dalam serial Naruto diperlihatkan sebuah
proses menjadi (becoming) dan penyempurnaan diri sebagai individu (self-improvement).
Terdapat enam hal pokok yang menjadi focus humanism Pendidikan Islam yakni, (1)
common sense (akal sehat), (2) individualisme menuju kemandirian, (3) thirst for knowledge
(haus ilmu pengetahuan), (4) pendidikan pluralisme, (5) konstektualisme yang lebih
mementingkan fungsi daripada simbol, dan (6) keseimbangan antara reward dan punishment.
