    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

The method used in this study is descriptive analysis method with a method of collecting data from observation and literature. From the results of these studies it is known that in managing dynamic record that must be considered also in term of the layout where the archive is stored properly to avoid factors that can damage the archive, and also attention to retention schedules how long the archive is stored and mush be destroyed to reduce the volume of archive storage.     “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Drug stands for narcotics, psychotropic, and addictive substances. Drug abuse is not only dangerous and detrimental to the family, but social broad impact. The problem of drugs abuse is quite common among teenagers. Efforts to prevent drugs abuse in teenagers is directed at providing information about the dangers of drugs to improve the knowledge and attitude of adolescents about drugs so that they can give birth to teens who are skilled refuse drugs and can be a preventive agent and active agent drug abuse. The study aimed to analyze the effect of extension with leafleat media and powerpoint media on knowledge and attitudes of vocational students Fathih Azahra in the prevention of drugs abuse in Deli Serdang 2016. This type of research is a quasi experimental design with non-equivalent control group design. The population is students in vocational Fathih Azahra 115 people. The samples were 42 people consisting of 21 people with leaflets media, and 21 people with powerpoints media. Methods of data collection is done by distributing questionnaires to pretest stage, treatment and posttest. Analysis of the data using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed different of knowledge (p = 0.0001) and attitudes (p =0.0001) before and after extension with leafleat media. There are different of knowledge (p = 0.0001) and attitudes (p =0.0001) before and after extension with the media powerpoint It is expected the vocational Fatih Azahra that student organizations have been formed in order to development and have activities that students are able to avoid abusing drugs. Participants are expected to extension to follow knowledge and attitude to be practiced in everyday life with regard to the prevention of narcotics.Permasalahan penyalahgunaan NAPZA banyak terjadi di kalangan remaja. Upaya pencegahan penyalahgunaan Napza pada remaja di arahkan pada pemberian informasi mengenai bahaya NAPZA untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap remaja mengenai NAPZA sehingga dapat melahirkan remaja-remaja yang terampil menolak narkoba dan dapat menjadi agen pencegahan dan agen penyalahgunaan narkoba secara aktif. Penelitian bertujuan untuk untuk menganalisis pengaruh penyuluhan kesehatan dengan media leafleat dan powerpoint terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap siswa dalam pencegahan penyalahgunaan NAPZA di SMK Fathih Azahra Medan tahun 2016. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan quasi experimental non equivalent control group design. Populasi adalah siswa di SMK Fathih Azahra sebanyak 115 orang. Besarnya jumlah sampel adalah 42 orang yang terdiri dari 21 orang dengan media leaflet dan dan 21 orang dengan media power point. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner dengan tahapan pretest, perlakuan dan posttest. Analisis data yang menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedan pengetahuan (p=0,0001) dan sikap siswa (p=0,0001) sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan dengan media leafleat. Terdapat pengaruh pengetahuan (p=0,0001) dan sikap siswa (p=0,0001) sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan dengan media powerpoint. Diharapkan kepada SMK Fatih Azahra agar organisasi kesiswaan yang telah terbentuk agar dikembangkan dan mempunyai kegiatan-kegiatan yang mampu menghindari siswa menyalahgunakan narkoba.     Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis pengaruh Penggunaan Gadget dan Lingkungan Teman Sebaya terhadap Minat Belajar Siswa Kompetensi Keahlian MPLB di SMKN 25 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 144 siswa. Berdasarkan tabel Isaac dan Michael, maka jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 108 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik proportional random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner dengan skala likert. Dalam penelitian ini, analisis data yang dilakukan yaitu uji validitas dan realibilitas, uji persyaratan analisis yang terdiri dari uji normalitas dan uji linearitas, uji asumsi klasik yang terdiri dari uji multikolinearitas dan heterokedastisitas, analisis regresi linear berganda, uji hipotesis yang terdiri dari uji F dan uji T, serta analisis koefisien determinasi. Teknik pengolah data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan bantuan IBM SPSS Statistic Versi 26. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan hasil Fhitung 37,789 > Ftabel 3.08. kemudian hasil uji koefisien regresi parsial (uji T) pada variabel penggunaan gadget didapatkan hasil Thitung 3,620 > Ttabel 1,982 dan variabel lingkungan teman sebaya didapatkan hasil Thitung 5,753 > Ttabel 1,982. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian simultan dan parsial tersebut, variabel penggunaan gadget (X1) dan lingkungan teman sebaya (X2) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat belajar (Y).     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
