    This article is motivated by the role of the madrasa head in developing a culture of discipline at MTsN 2 Padang City. This study aims to find out what actions are taken to discipline it, this can be seen by symptoms such as students who arrive late, students who are late for more than 15 minutes are told to go home, there are still students who are not dressed neatly, there are students who play in the madrasa yard during class hours, there are still students who don't do homework. The results of the findings of the madrasa principal's strategy in developing a discipline culture in the field of discipline, first, the discipline in the madrasa is discussed every year to further refine it. So, this is a pretty good thing. This means that the discipline of students in this madrasa is always being improved. in compiling the rules, the madrasah also invited parents of students, teachers, head of the madrasah, TU staff. this is a good thing, because by involving the student's guardians in the preparation of the rules, the student's guardians will automatically know what rules apply in the madrasa. Second, after the rules have been discussed and approved, then the head of the madrasa socializes the rules so that students know what obligations and restrictions apply. The socialization that was implemented was by explaining it during the school orientation period (MOS), displaying the rules of conduct in each class, the school principal, guidance counselor and other teachers always reminded students. This way of socialization should be effective enough to make students understand the culture of discipline in the madrasa

    The purpose of this study was to determine the principal's strategy in carrying out relations with the school. The research that the author did was using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were the principal, committee and parents of students at SMA Negeri 01 District VII Koto Sungai Sarik in the course of collecting data, the authors used interviews, observation, and documentation methods. While the data analysis technique by means of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that: the relationship between the principal and the committee has been going well and smoothly, and also between the school and the committee has been supportive in advancing the school, as evidenced by the strategy carried out by the principal, namely, ( a) Always maintain communication with the committee and the community around the school, (b) Maintain a cooperative relationship with the committee and also involve the committee in school activities, (c) always apply transparency to the community.     This study aims to explore about; Firstly, the integration of Minang kabau cultural values ​​and Islamic values ​​through the implementation of the SUMBANG Duo Baleh in learning art and culture and craft. Secondly, the Implementation of the SUMBANG Duo Baleh in The Character Strengthening Effort of Students in The State Islamic Elementary School (MIN) of Padang City. The type of research used is field research with qualitative descriptive method, data collection technique in the form of interview with teacher and madrasah principal, observation in the classroom and outside the classroom, and documentation in the form of learning data sets and learning material while data analysis techniques adopt data. Milles and Huberman interactive data collection, data presentation, data reduction to draw conclusions. The results of the study show that firstly, the implementation of the SUMBANG Duo Baleh by integrating Islamic values ​​in learning is carried out through an internalization process by means of teacher teaching and teaching specifically in learning art and culture and craft. The teacher teaches and practices BAM learning from grade 4 to grade 6, and invites students to apply it together in everyday life. Secondly, the implementation of SUMBANG Duo Baleh in the character strengthening effort of of students, namely by inculcating character values ​​based on the nation's culture which is taken from the meaning of SUMBANG Duo Baleh such as religious values, discipline, honesty, caring for the environment and others, and giving examples in everyday life, and learn to always remember and run it. In addition to forming character, students also understand and do not depend on local culture.</jats:p

    Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan atau menggambarkan macammacam perilaku agresif, faktor penyebab perilaku agresif dan bagaimana implikasinya terhadap layanan bimbingan dan konseling di SMP N 5 Kota Solok. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini berjenis deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus.Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Data penelitian diolah dan dianalisa dengan mengunakan teknik analisa deskriptif kualitatif. Keabsahan data penelitian diuji dengan Teknik pemeriksaan derajat kepercayaan (Credibility), Teknik pemeriksaan keteralihan dengan cara uraian rinci, Teknik pemeriksaan kebergantungan (auditing), dan Teknik pemeriksaan kepastian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan ada beberapa macam perilaku agresif yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik yaitu perilaku agresif fisik aktif langsung, agresif aktif tidak langsung, dan agresif verbal aktif langsung. Perilaku agresif fisik aktif langsung seperti memukul teman, menonjok, mendorong kepala teman, dan mencubit. Agresif verbal aktif langssung seperti menghina, mengolok-olok, menertawakan, dan melontarkan kata-kata kasar. Peserta didik berperilaku agresif disebabkan oleh dua faktor yaitu faktor lingkungan dan faktor sosial. Faktor lingkungan berasal dari pengaruh lingkungan keluarga dan lingkungan sekolah. Sedangkan faktor sosial disebabkan faktor frustasi karena tidak tercapainya suatu keinginan yang dikehendaki serta dari pembelajaran model kekerasan dimedia dan kekerasan yang dilakukan dilingkungan keluarga.     Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
