    Land laws and procedures are a key factor in applying for land ownership and by understanding the land laws and procedures will one be able to transfer, divide and rename land. The objectives of the study are to identify land management system and land use administration in Myanmar and to examine challenges of application for land ownership in YCDC. In this study applied descriptive method and based on primary data and secondary data. This study found that most of the applicant of the land ownership does not know about the types of land. Most of the applicant has knowledge about the landlord's rights and land registered. The numbers of respondents were known about the legal and evidential about land application. It also found that there are many weaknesses in matters related to land laws. Therefore, it is suggested that the government or related organizations should create easier and faster ways to apply for land ownership and provide training on land laws

    Calculation of Metal Pollution Index and Enrichment Factor in Sodic Soil from Salt Production Area

    In the present paper, the sodic soil samples were collected from the salt production area of Thakhauttaw, Hanlin, Sataung Gyi and Paline, Shwebo District, Sagaing Region. These samples were studied on the elemental analysis using the energy dispersive x ray fluorescence EDXRF spectroscopy. In order to evaluate the contamination status of metals, assessment indices such as metal pollution index MPI and enrichment factors EFs have been calculated by using the metal concentrations from the EDXRF results. The values of metal pollution index MPI for all samples were less than 1. This indicating the sodic soil was no significant of metal pollution. The results of enrichment factors show that Ca and Mn considerable enriched levels in the soil. According to health physics point of view, the overall study suggests that the sodic soil from salt production area were not metal contaminated and long term consumption cannot be cause potential health risks to consumers.     Effect of impression technique and material on accuracy of implant impressions

    Dental implant treatment becomes one of the most predictable and successful dental rehabilitation therapies. After successful osseointegration, impression making is one of the most important and critical steps in implant prothesis fabrication for long term successful use. An accurate impression and stone casts are extremely important because inaccuracy in any of these can lead to mechanical and /or biological complications which ultimately result in failure of implant restoration. An in vitro study was carried out to evaluate linear dimensional accuracy of implant impressions by using different silicone impression materials and different impression techniques. Four implants (Arrow Mytis Implant System, Brainbase Co. Ltd., Tokyo, Japan) were parallelly placed in the edentulous mandible model using the surgical guide at canines and first molar areas. Fixture-level impressions were made by using addition silicone (Perfit, Huge, Rizhao, China) or condensation silicone (Silect Set, Muller-Omicron GmbH&Co.KG, Germany) with putty-light body wash one-step procedure, with closed tray or open tray technique and poured with dental stone (Silky Rock, Type IV stone, U.S.A). Three hours after removal of impression from the stone cast, four measurements (AB, BC, CD, AD) were taken between implants by using digital slide caliper (Hummer, Thailand) with accuracy of +0.03mm. Data was analyzed by using one-way ANOVA. There was no statistically significant difference in deviation of linear dimension between the impression materials and techniques.     In this paper, firstly, manifoldPD(n)consisting of alln×nsymmetric positive-definite matrices is introduced based on matrix information geometry; Secondly, the geometrical structures of information submanifold ofPD(n)are presented including metric, geodesic and geodesic distance; Thirdly, the information resolution with sensor networks is presented by three classical measurement models based on information submanifold; Finally, the bearing-only tracking by single sensor is introduced by the Fisher information matrix. The preliminary analysis results introduced in this paper indicate that information submanifold is able to offer consistent and more comprehensive means to understand and solve sensor network problems for targets resolution and tracking, which are not easily handled by some conventional analysis methods

    Efficacy and safety of dihydroartemisinin-piperaquine for treatment of Plasmodium vivax malaria in endemic countries: meta-analysis of randomized controlled studies

    Background: This study aimed to synthesize available evidence on the efficacy of dihydroartemisinin-piperaquine (DHP) in treating uncomplicated Plasmodium vivax malaria in people living in endemic countries. Methodology and Principal Findings: This is a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCT). We searched relevant studies in electronic databases up to May 2013. RCTs comparing efficacy of (DHP) with other artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACT), non-ACT or placebo were selected. The primary endpoint was efficacy expressed as PCR-corrected parasitological failure. Efficacy was pooled by hazard ratio (HR) and 95% CI, if studies reported time-to-event outcomes by the Kaplan-Meier method or data available for calculation of HR Nine RCTs with 14 datasets were included in the quantitative analysis. Overall, most of the studies were of high quality. Only a few studies compared with the same antimalarial drugs and reported the outcomes of the same follow-up duration, which created some difficulties in pooling of outcome data. We found the superiority of DHP over chloroquine (CQ) (at day > 42-63, HR:2.33, 95% CI:1.86-2.93, I: 0%) or artemether-lumefentrine (AL) (at day 42, HR:2.07, 95% CI:1.38-3.09, I: 39%). On the basis of GRADE criteria, further research is likely to have an important impact on our confidence in the estimate of effect and may change the estimate. Discussion/Conclusion: Findings document that DHP is more efficacious than CQ and AL in treating uncomplicated P. vivax malaria. The better safety profile of DHP and the once-daily dosage improves adherence, and its fixed coformulation ensures that both drugs (dihydroartemisinin and piperaquine) are taken together. However, DHP is not active against the hypnozoite stage of P. vivax. DHP has the potential to become an alternative antimalarial drug for the treatment uncomplicated P. vivax malaria. This should be substantiated by future RCTs with other ACTs. Additional work is required to establish how best to combine this treatment with appropriate antirelapse therapy (primaquine or other drugs under development)
