A THANATOPHORIC DYSPLASIA TYPE I CASE WITH A FGFR3 P.R248C MUTATION AND SURVIVAL BEYOND THE NEONATAL PERIOD
No full textA thanatophoric dysplasia type I case with a FGFR3 p.R248C mutation and survival beyond the neonatal period: Thanatophoric dysplasia, is a severe congenital anomaly which mostly causes stillbirth or death of the affected baby within hours due to respiratory insufficiency. The diagnosis of TD is typically suspected on ultrasound during the second trimester of pregnancy, when severe shortening of the long bones, frontal bossing, flattened vertebrae, and short ribs that result in a narrow thorax and bell-shaped abdomen, can be seen. Here, we present a case with prenatal ultrasonographic findings suggestive of TD, and highlight the patient's postnatal dysmorphic features and typical radiographic findings. The definitive diagnosis of TD type 1 (TD1) was made postnatally, when molecular genetic analysis revealed the previously described p.R248C mutation in FGFR3. This case is reported due to its relative long life span and the definitive molecular diagnosis that could be made during hospitalization

Contributos do uso do e-portefólio para a mudança de paradigma de avaliação em educação e formação de adultos
No full textEste estudo surge dos trabalhos desenvolvidos na Escola Secundária Padre Benjamim Salgado relativos à construção de e-portefólios utilizando a plataforma Elgg (open source). Rentabilizando o conhecimento adquirido, usamos a plataforma nos Cursos de Educação e Formação de Adultos de Nível Secundário existentes nesta escola, para a construção do portefólio reflexivo de aprendizagem, utilizado no reconhecimento e validação de competências. A problemática constituiu-se ao nível do contributo da construção de eportefólios, enquanto tecnologia e estratégia de ensino aprendizagem e avaliação, na elaboração do portefólio reflexivo. Trata-se de investigação-ação e de um estudo de caso. Os
resultados revelam a existência de alguns constrangimentos na organização destes cursos
nesta escola, a quase inexistência de práticas reflexivas por parte dos formandos e uma débil
autonomia. Foram observadas dificuldades ao nível da língua inglesa, das destrezas tecnológicas e da motivação dos formandos. Observámos que a construção de e-portefólios neste contexto ainda não é efetiva sendo que a utilização da Elgg permitiu um primeiro contacto com uma plataforma de e-portefólios. Consideramos que a sua utilização resultou numa melhoria das competências digitais dos participantes, em particular das ferramentas da Web 2.0, melhorando os níveis de literacia e comunicação. Ao nível da construção do portefólio reflexivo contribuiu para desenvolver uma aprendizagem mais autêntica incluindo diferentes tempos e espaços, permitindo a integração de diferentes materiais e ferramentas, tais como texto, figuras, gráficos, áudio e vídeo, facilitando a consulta e edição, permitindo ao seu autor uma construção e avaliação permanente, e favorecendo a interação entre pares. O e-portefólio constituiu-se, assim, num instrumento que favorece a autonomia e a
autoavaliação com vantagens no desenvolvimento de competências cognitivas e comportamentais, fundamentais à intervenção ativa na sociedade da informação.This research arises from the works developed in the Padre Benjamim Salgado Secondary School regarding the framing of e-portfolios using the Elgg platform (open source). Maximizing the knowledge gained on the subject, we developed a project for the dissemination of this platform within the context of the Adult Education and Training Courses at a Secondary Level taught at this school, used for the construction of the reflective learning portfolio employed in the recognition and validation of competences. The problematic was defined in terms of the contribution of the construction of e-portfolios as a technology and a teaching/learning and evaluation strategy for the development of reflective portfolio. Using a research/action methodology and with the case-study as method. Results reveal the prior existence of some constraints in the organization of these courses, the virtual absence of reflective practices by trainees, and also their feeble autonomy. When using the platform, some difficulties with the English language were observable, as well as with technological dexterities and also a lack of trainees' motivation. We observed that the framing of e-portfolios in the context is still not effective and that the use of Elgg enabled a first contact with an e-portfolio platform. We believe that using Elgg has improved the digital competences of the participants, who
developed skills to use the tools available for Web 2.0 that are clustered in Elgg, improving their levels of literacy and communication. The construction of the PRA contributed to the development of a more authentic learning, including different times and spaces, enabling the integration of different materials and tools such as: text, figures, graphs, audio and video, facilitating the consultation and editing, allowing its author to permanently build and evaluate and encouraging peer interaction. The e-portfolio has, therefore, become an instrument that favours autonomy and self-evaluation with advantages in the development of cognitive and

Realization of The Politeness Principles used by Atas Market and Bawah Market Muara Bungo Traders in Their Speech to The Buyer
No full textThis research is motivated by the utterances of traders in the Atas market and Bawah markets of Muara Bungo, which have a good politeness value. In this study, researchers used a qualitative descriptive approach in which data results were based on existing observations and interpretations. The data studied were the stories of traders recorded in the Atas and Bawah markets of Muara Bungo. After recording the data is transcribed and grouped based on the type of speaker. After that, the data will be analyzed in terms of compliance with and violations of the principles of decency according to Leech theory. The realization of courtesy of the Atas market traders and the Bawah markets in Muara Bungo both have a good politeness value. Through the author\u27s observations, the Atas market traders are more friendly than the Bawah market

Trauma dan Penerimaan Luka: Pendampingan Pastoral atas Realitas Traumatis yang Tidak Dapat Diperdamaikan
No full textAbstract. Can emotional wounds heal? Pastoral theories generally have shown that it is possible to engage the complexity of emotional wounds problem. Some of it can be found in Clebsch and Jaekle’s pastoral functions and in crisis intervention methodology that presents the achievable result of responding to the counselee’s emotional wounds. However, what about the wounds that remain? Drawing from the author's accompanying research on the traumatic reality wounds that remain irreconcilable, the author offers a new way of pastoral care that responds to these wounds that remain. The posture of accepting the wounds that remain as a way of healing, would be central here. By using qualitative research methods, the author presents the ABCA crisis intervention method as a way of pastoral care that includes this posture as a way of healing. This method is relevant in that it answers the problem of the remaining wound through inviting the counselee to remember their past, reaffirming their present, and reauthoring their future as a way of healing.Abstrak. Apakah luka batin bisa sembuh? Teori-teori pastoral secara umum mengatakan bahwa kompleksitas permasalahan terkait luka batin dapat dijawab. Beberapa di antaranya dapat ditemukan dalam fungsi-fungsi pastoral menurut Clebsch dan Jaekle dan metodologi intervensi krisis yang memperlihatkan tercapainya kesembuhan dalam merespons luka batin konseli. Akan tetapi, bagaimana dengan luka yang tidak hilang? Berangkat dari penelitian dampingan penulis atas luka traumatis yang tidak kunjung hilang sekaligus tidak dapat diperdamaikan, penulis menawarkan sebuah cara baru pendampingan pastoral dalam merespons luka batin yang tidak hilang. Sikap penerimaan realitas luka yang masih ada sebagai wujud kesembuhan, menjadi penting dibahas. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, penulis menawarkan metode intervensi krisis ABCA sebagai bentuk pendampingan pastoral yang mengikutsertakan sikap menerima tersebut sebagai bentuk kesembuhan. Metode ini menjadi relevan karena ia menjawab permasalahan realitas luka yang tidak dapat diperdamaikan tersebut dengan mengajak konseli untuk mengingat kembali pada masa lalunya, menegaskan kembali pada masa kininya, dan menarasikannya untuk masa depan sebagai wujud kesembuhannya
