Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Some of the arguments of such consensus clearly explain how the real Islam considers an office that has become a symbol of social status. Candidacy and campaign for certain political positions can be justified under Islamic law for a person who within him there are two things. First, has the capacity, capability and acceptability sufficient to assume that he ran for office and campaign for him to reach it. Second, the main motivation is certainly solely to seek the pleasure of Allah and for the sake of realizing the public good and not for personal interests and reach or not the means to do things that are destructive to the interests of the public. Thus, through this paper hope to anyone who wants to run for leaders to be honest in judging ourselves, so that positions of leadership which it aspires into leadership, accompanied by the Lord's hand in giving the best to the people method used in this study using Quantitative Research. This study uses a measurement technique problem through careful against varaiabel-specific variables, so to be produce conclusions that can be generalized, separated from the context of the time and the situation and the type of data collected mainly quantitative data. Quantitative research is used primarily to develop the theory in a scientific discipline. Use of taking the measurements with analyzes statically in research implies that this study uses quantitative methods

Pernikahan beda agama memang menjadi suatu fenomena yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dari kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia yang sarat dengan pluralisme. Pernikahan beda agama tidak bisa begitu saja dihilangkan hanya dengan peraturan hukum, karena mencintai orang lain tidak bisa dibatasi dengan agama. Keutuhan dan keharmonisan hubungan menjadi dambaan bagi semua pasangan suami istri, tak terkecuali pasangan suami istri beda agama. Perbedaan agama memang menjadi suatu hal yang rentan terhadap munculnya masalah dan konflik dalam kehidupan berumah tangga pasangan beda agama, karena banyak perbedaan dalam pola pikir, cara pandang, aktivitas dan kebiasaan sehari-hari yang sedikit banyak disebabkan oleh perbedaan agama yang dimiliki oleh keduanya. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, penulis memandang perlunya meneliti bagaimana realitas yang terjadi dalam aturan agama yang diakui di Indonesia. Serta melalui penetapan inkracht oleh Mahkamah Konstitusi, maka pernikahan beda Agama kini dan nanti lebih diakomodasi oleh negara, agar tidak terjadi permasalahan dikemudian hari. konflik dalam hubungan dapat diminimalisir. No full text“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Rancangan Undang-undang Hukum Materill Peradilan Agama yang sedang dibahas, agar seera disahkan menjadi Undang-undang. 2. Bagi siapa saja yang melakukan pernikahan siri maka harus harus diberikan sanksi tegas sesuai ketentuan hukum republik indonesia 3. Pada dasarnya pernikahan sirri dilakukan karena ada hal-hal yang dirasa tidak memungkinkan bagi pasangan untuk menikah secara formal. Ada banyak faktor yang melatarbelakangi terjadinya pernikahan siri, yang menurut peneliti, semua alasan tersebut mengarah kepada posisi perkawinan sirri dipandang sebagai jalan pintas yang lebih mudah untuk menghalalkan hubungan suami isteri. 4. Problem yang menyertai pernikahan sirri yang paling nyata adalah problem hukum khususnya bagi perempuan, tapi juga problem intern dalam keluarga, problem sosial dan phiskologis yang menyangkut opini publik yang menimbulkan tekanan batin bagi pelaku, problem agama yang perlu mempertanyakan lagi keabsahan nikah sirri yang akhir-akhir marak terjadi di Indonesia.. 5. Dampak pernikahan sirri bagi perempuan adalah secara hukum, isteri tidak dianggap sebagai isteri sah, tidak berhak mendapat warisan jika suami meninggal, tidak berhak mendapat harta gono-gini bila terjadi perpisahan. Dampak tersebut juga berlaku bagi anak kandung hasil pernikahan siri. Adapun dampak sosial lebih kepada benturan-benturan dengan pandangan negatif masyarakat tentang status pernikahan siri, yang bisa menimbulkan tekanan batin bagi pelaku terutama perempuan, juga kemungkinan terisolir dari lingkungan masyarakat
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
No full textWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
No full textWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
