    ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to find out the profile of secondary metabolite contained in the extract of seeds (Crescentia cujete Linn.) And cytotoxic test against shrimp larvae Artemia salina Leach by BSLT method. Phytochemical tests showed that the extract be expected contained the terpenoid, alkaloid, phenolic, secondary metabolite compounds. The results of qualitative analysis with positive TLC contains phenolics. The result of identification with Spectrophotometer UV-visfor determination of α max from berenuk seeds extract consisted of 3 peaks with α max 326 nm, 258 nm, 222 nm be expected terpenoid compound, alkaloid, and phenolic. The results of toxicity test using shrimp larvae (Artemia salina leach) were divided into 4 groups: 1 control group and 3 groups of concentration series. The concentration of test solution used was 1,000, 100 and 10 μg / ml. The shrimp larvae mortality was observed after 24 hours of treatment. Based on the analysis with probit method, LC50 value of seed extract berenuk to shrimp larvae Artemia salina Leach is equal to 82,30 μg/ml. This shows that the extract of berenuk berries is toxic to shrimp larvae Artemia salina Leach, presence to terpenoid content, alkaloids and phenolics in the extract of seeds berenuk.Keywords : Secondary metabolite; Cytotoxic; BSLT

    PENETAPAN KADAR KOFEIN DALAM MINUMAN BERNERGI YANG BEREDAR DI PASARAN DENGAN METODE KROMATOGRAFI CAIR KINERJA TINGGI

    INTISARI                            Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang penetapan kadar kofein dalam minuman berenergi yang beredar dipasaran secara Kromatografi Cair Kinerja Tinggi. Minuman energi ini difraksinasi dengan kloroform. Hasil fraksi kloroform diuapkan dengan  rotary  evaporator. Kadar kofein diukur dengan kromatografi cair kinerja tinggi menggunakan kolom LC- 20AD dengan panjang 25 cm dan detektor SPD-20MAD dengan panjang gelombang 272nm. Fase gerak yang digunakan Metanol : Air (50:50)dengan laju alir 1 mL/menit. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan kadar kofein dalam 1 botol sampel Kr =27,73 mg,  M =34,14 mg, , Pm=28,41 mg dan sampel Lv =69,78 mg. Hasil tersebut sampel Lv yang melebihi batas yang telah ditentukan oleh SNI No. 01-6684-2002 yaitu kurang dari 50 mg persaji. Energy drink filtrat fractionated with chloroform  and chloroforom fractionation evaporated by rotary evaporator. Coffein amount measured by HPLC using column LC- 20 AD ( Length 20 cm ) and detector SPD – 20 MAD (λ 272 nm) with mobile phase methanol : water (50:50).  Amount  estimating  of  coffein  from  this  research  in  1  bottle  Sample Kr =27,7264 mg, M =34,140 mg, Pm=28,41 mg and sample Lv= 69,78 mg.     PELATIHAN PENGOLAHAN BAYAM MERAH UNTUK PENCEGAHAN ANEMIA DAN STUNTING

    Stunting is failure to thrive due to lack of nutritional intake that lasts for a long time from pregnancy to 24 months of age. Efforts to prevent stunting are carried out by meeting the nutritional needs of pregnant women, providing exclusive breastfeeding and eating complementary foods and maintaining environmental cleanliness. One of the nutrients during pregnancy that needs to be considered is the fulfillment of iron needs to prevent nutritional anemia caused by iron deficiency. Based on the results of a survey by a National Competent Institution, the Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey (SSGI), the Padang Panjang stunting rate was set at 20% and based on information from the Padang Panjang City Service Head from Posyandu cadre data, the Padang Panjang stunting rate reached 15.57%. Red spinach is a vegetable that contains a lot of iron that can be consumed as an alternative food to meet iron needs. Iron plays a role in the formation of hemoglobin. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge of pregnant women and mothers with toddlers about the benefits of red spinach and how to process red spinach into noodles. The method used was counseling and distribution of noodles from red spinach for counseling participants. The outputs obtained in this activity are pregnant women and mothers with toddlers who know the benefits of red spinach, can process red spinach into noodles and are willing to consume red spinach as an effort to prevent anemia and stunting.  Stunting is failure to thrive due to a lack of nutritional intake that lasts for a long time from pregnancy to 24 months of age. The method used is the training and distributing red spinach noodles for trainees, who can immediately feel the noodles made from a spinach mixture. The output of this activity is aimed at pregnant women and mothers with toddlers who know the benefits of red spinach, can process red spinach into noodles, and are willing to consume red spinach to prevent anemia and stunting

    Rapid Detection and Quantification of Gambir Adulteration Using ATR-FTIR Spectroscopy Coupled with Chemometric Analysis

    Gambir (an extract from Uncaria gambir Roxb.) is a valuable Indonesian herbal product susceptible to adulteration for economic gain. In this study, we developed a rapid, non-destructive method to detect and quantify adulteration in gambir using Attenuated Total Reflectance Fourier Transform Infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy combined with chemometric analysis. In total, 32 gambir samples were prepared, including authentic gambir, samples adulterated with a fertilizer (SP36) at 0–50% w/w, quality control (pooled) samples, and a market sample of unknown purity. FTIR spectra (4000–600 cm−1) were collected. The spectral data were preprocessed and analyzed with PCA, SIMCA, and PLS-R. PCA revealed clear clustering of samples according to adulterant concentration, with the first two principal components capturing more than 99% of total variance. Chemometric classification models successfully distinguished authentic gambir from adulterated samples: SIMCA showed clear separation, with the 1% adulterant concentration sample clustering near authentic gambir, while the PLS-R calibration model achieved excellent linearity (R² ≈ 0.988) in predicting adulterant levels, with low RMSECV (≈ 0.0375) and a detection limit of ~0.54% adulterant concentration. When applied to a gambir sample obtained from the market, the PLS-R model indicated ~25% adulterant concentration. These results demonstrate that FTIR spectroscopy combined with multivariate analysis can effectively detect and quantify even low levels of adulterant concentration in gambir. This approach offers a fast and reliable tool for quality control and authentication of herbal products prone to adulteration

    ABSTRACT This research was conducted with the aim to determine the effect of  soaking  with starfruit (Averrhoa bilimbi L) and the effect of soaking with variations in water temperature to reducing levels of formaldehyde the salted fish. Research using Spektroquant NOVA 400 on wavelength 565 nm and using reagent HCHO-1 and HCHO-2   to  know  levels  of  formaldehyde  in  the  salted  fish.  The  results   showedpercentage levels of formaldehydewithout soaking is 0%, while soaking with cold  water (28ºC  - 29ºC) is 31,62%, soaking with warm water (50ºC  -  60ºC) is 53,69%, soaking with hot water (98ºC  -  99ºC) is 62,78%, while soaking with starfruit konsentration 100% is 94,47%. This shows the soaking with water can reduce levels of formaldehyde highest with hot water, but soaking with starfruit konsentration 100% can reduce levels of formaldehyde higher of the soaking with hot water. Statistical calculation results with one-way ANOVA (p<0,05) gives results significantly  differentbetween each treatment.     ABSTRACT Whitening lotion is a mixture of chemicals or other ingredients with properties that can whiten the skin or blemish black (brown) on the skin. The use of mercury in whitening lotions can cause a variety of things, ranging from skin discoloration which can ultimately cause black spots on the skin, allergies and skin irritation. The using of mercury in high dose can cause permanent brain damageand cancer. An analysis of mercury content in the whitening lotion brands A, B and C circulating at market in Padang city has been conducted. Extraction of mercury in the whitening lotion was done by wet destruction with a concentrated HNO3 solution and concentrated H2SO4 for 2 hours at a temperature of ± 95°C until a clear solution is obtained. The clear solution was measured by absorption with an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer using a mercury hollow cathode lamp at a wavelength of 253.7 nm. The results of this study were samples of brands A, B and C detected containing mercury metals with successive levels of 0.3347 μg /g; 0,7917 μg /g and 0,7981 μg/ g. The whitening lotions that circulate in market do not meet the Head of BPOM RI Regulation No.18 of 2015 whose contents prohibit the use of mercury in cosmetics preparations.     Usahatani gambir telah berlangsung sejak zaman sejal abad ke 18. Namun produk yang dihasilkan petani gambir masih dalam bentuk gambir biasa dengan harga murah. Padahal gambir meiliki zat kimia tanin dan katekin yang memiliki harga lebih mahal. Untuk itu, itu penting dilakukan peningkatan pengetahuan petani melalui pengembagan produk. Khusus tanin bermanfaat untuk dunia industri seperti industri penyamak kulit, pewarna dan perekat kayu. Tanin dapat diproduksi secara sederhana dan biaya murah, namun memiliki harga yang lebih mahal. Melihat kondisi tersebut Kelompok Tani Gambir Ngalau Jaya sangat ingin mendapatkan pengetahuan pembuatan tanin, untuk dapat meningkatkan perekonomian mereka. Hasil kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan menambah pengetahuan anggota Kelompok Tani Ngalau Jaya dalam memproduksi tanin.
