No full textPodejmując idee przedstawione przez Marka Olssena, Johna Codda i Anne-Marie O’Neill w książce Education Policy: Globalization, Citizenship and Democracy (2004), autor wskazuje na pominięcie we współczesnych studiach nad edukacją zasadniczej roli wiedzy, jaką odgrywa ona w procesach władzy i w procesach oporu. Odwołując się do teorii kultury Michela Foucaulta, a także do teorii radykalnej demokracji Chantal Mouffe, wskazuje, iż także we współczesnym społeczeństwie wiedza jest podstawowym elementem procedur władzy i powiązanych z nimi różnorodnych technik dyscyplinarnych. Wskazując na podstawowe obszary oddziaływania wiedzy wbudowanej w relacje władzy, omawia pojawiające się w owych obszarach możliwości generowania strategii oporu - strategii także opartych na wiedzy.Tackling the ideas presented by Mark Olssen, John Codd and Anne-Marie O’Neill in their book Education Policy: Globalization, Citizenship and Democracy (2004), the author points out that contemporary educational studies fail to analyse the essential role of knowledge in power processes and resistance processes. Referring to Michel Foucault's theory of culture and Chantal Mouffe’s theory of radical democracy the author points out that knowledge in the modern society is a key element of power processes and related interdisciplinary techniques. The author identifies the essential areas impacted by knowledge built into power relationships and discusses the opportunities to generate resistance strategies that arise in those areas, including knowledge-based strategies.

Przekształcenia klasyki literackiej w XXI wieku: przypadek Anne of Green Gables L.M. Montgomery
No full textThe literary classics is timeless by definition but paradoxically it changes in time in its countless adaptations into different media. One of the interesting phenomena of the 21st century is the popularity of graphic novels which are based on the classic. Examples can be multiplied. If the English classic is taken into account, several adaptations of the novels by Jane Austen, Joseph Conrad, Charles Dickens, C.S. Lewis, Virginia Woolf may be mentioned among the others. My research is focused on one of the classical novels by the Canadian writer L.M. Montgomery Anne of Green Gables (1908) and the graphic novel (with the same title) based on it (with the same title) by M. Marsden and B. Thummler (2017). This is a case study presenting the transformation of the classic novels into graphic ones and taking into consideration especially times when the novels were written and what has been changed in their graphic adaptations of the 21st century. The main research questions are: how the times are represented both in the original novel and its contemporary transformation? How the setting, characters and plot are transformed (if they are)? The aim of the paper is to analyse all these transformations, define their main features and to find out their influence on the original message of the novel.Klasyka literacka jest ponadczasowa z definicji, ale paradoksalnie również przechodzi przemiany w czasie dzięki niezliczonym adaptacjom. Jednym z interesujących zjawisk kultury XXI w. jest popularność powieści graficznych opartych na tekstach klasyki. Przykłady można mnożyć. W kręgu literatury anglojęzycznej swoich adaptacji doczekały się m.in. powieści Jane Austen, Josepha Conrada, Charlesa Dickensa, C.S. Lewisa, Virginii Woolf. Moje analizy w tym artykule skupiają się na klasycznej powieści Anne of Green Gables (1908) kanadyjskiej pisarki L.M. Montgomery i opartej na niej powieści graficznej pod tym samym tytułem, stworzonej przez M. Marsden i B. Thummler (2017). W tym studium przedstawione zostały sposoby, w jaki klasyka literacka sprzed wieku jest przekształcana we współczesną powieść graficzną oraz główne kierunki zmian. Podstawowe problemy badawcze brzmią: W jaki sposób kształtowany jest czas akcji w oryginale oraz w powieści graficznej? W jaki sposób zmienia się (jeśli się zmienia) kreacja miejsca akcji, bohaterowie, fabuła? Celem artykułu jest analiza tych wszystkich przekształceń, ustalenie rządzących nimi zasad oraz ich wpływu na wymowę utworu
