    Shura and democracy are two concepts that seem substantially almost exactly the same, but these two concepts have differences because both have differences historically, culturally and structurally. The differences are further aggravated by the suggestion and the image that grows in some people that shura is identical with the teachings of Islam which is derived from Allah. In, fact democracy is a product of man (the West) while Shura is Islamic concept of authority. Penelitian mendalam menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan sejarah tafsir di Indonesia dapat dilacak melalui sejarah masuknya Islam ke Nusantara. Masyarakat Nusantara yang terkenal ramah, suka menolong, dan memuliakan setiap tamu yang datang membuat penyebaran ajaran Islam di Nusantara berkembang pesat, demikian juga dengan ilmu Tafsir sebagai salah satu ilmu inti dari ajaran Islam.     The discussion of reward is often the object of aqidah study for theologians and scholars of kalam. Therefore, in this study the author makes the interpretation of Al-Kasyaf by al-Zamakhsyari (467-538 H) as an object of study that leads to a more complete and deeper study of the science of kalam. In the interpretation of Al-Kasyaf, al-Zamakhsyari uses logic more and this is what is used as a material for criticism by some scholars as material for defending the muktazilah understanding that he believes in. Sometimes he berates the leading priests astray, especially if they have an opinion that contradicts him. This paper tries to describe Zamakhsyari's interpretation of the reward in the perspective of the Koran from Tafsir Al-Kasyaf from the word al-ajr. This paper uses the maudhu'i method through an approach to understanding the characters in his work. The results of the study show that the term ajr that appears in the Koran is always related to human actions in good things or about goodness. The existence of ajr from Allah Swt cannot be separated from the role of human good deeds. Various virtues that are present with Ajr, besides the goodness mentioned earlier, there are other virtues, such as piety and patience, striving in the way of Allah, and always remembering Allah. Although ajr is closely related to the good deeds that have been done, the source of ajr itself is essentially from Allah Swt

    This research started from the study program of Al-Qur'an and Tafsir, namely a department that directs students to memorize the Qur'an in each semester by memorizing one juz for four consecutive semesters. However, many of these students did not finish their memorization when they met the tahfiz course. While in the Qur'an there is a verse that becomes a motivation in memorizing the Qur'an, the verse is contained in Surah Al-Hijr verse 9. The data collection procedure used observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the subject understood that Surah Al-Hijr verse 9 was a motivational verse in memorizing the Qur'an. Then the reason that makes the students do not complete their memorization, because they experience obstacles when memorizing the Qur'an such as not being able to read the Qur'an properly, the emergence of a feeling of laziness from within them can cause feelings of boredom, despair and loss of enthusiasm in memorizing the Qur'an, not being able to properly divide time between lectures and memorizing the Qur'an, and the last one is caused by environmental factors that are not appropriate for memorizing the Qur'an. The motivations possessed by students in memorizing the Qur'an are: wanting to make their parents happy and uplifting, in order to get glory in this world and the hereafter, seeking the pleasure of Allah Swt and the most important motivation is wanting to obey the rules of the IQT study program because it requires memorize the Qur'an

    At the beginning of this study aims to understand about the punishment of theft in the present time where society considers this punishment is very cruel due to amputation that can make the perpetrator disabled for life, some even refuse and oppose when the punishment is to be implemented. The method used is the Comparative method, which is a method that compares the verses of the Qur'an with other verses, the verses of the Qur'an with the Hadith and the opinion of the commentator with other commentators. Muhammad Syahrur explained the theory of the limit, which is the position of the maximum limit, that is, the determination of punishment should not exceed the limit, but can be below it or remain at the maximum limit line. Wahbah Zuhaili said this punishment is a framework to educate and give lessons to the perpetrators and also to keep the community safe from something bad happening

    Dalam aspek perkawinan, poligami termasuk suatu persoalan klasik yang menarik untuk dibahas. Bahkan sampai saat pembahasan poligami selalu mengundang kontroversi. Berbicara tentang poligami, hal yang sering mengundang perdebatan yaitu tentang “keadilan” permasalahan ini merupakan persoalan yang cukup panjang tidak saja di kalangan ahli hukum tetapi juga di masyarakat, lebih dekat lagi jika dikaitkan kondisi sosial di era modern ini yang cenderung tidak seperti zaman dulu, yang dilatarbelakangi kemoderenan dan kemajuan yang dicapai perempuan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Berangkat dari permasalahan yang diangkat dan data yang akan di himpun, maka tampak jelas penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan subyek dan objeknya berasal dari bahan-bahan kepustakaan (literatur) berupa kitab-kitab tafsir, kitab-kitab hadis, jurnal-jurnal, dan semua buku yang berkaitan dengan permasalahan yang diteliti. Adapun subyek atau pokok permasalahannya adalah semua ayat-ayat yang membahas tentang poligami khususnya terdapat di surah An-Nisa’ ayat tiga. Dan yang menjadi objek penelitian ini bukan susunan kalimat atau redaksi yang digunakan ayat-ayat tersebut, tetapi membahas tentang komparatif penafsiran antara tafsir Al-Mishbah dan Al-Azhar tentang ayat-ayat poligami. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan argumentasi hukum berpoligami menurut Quraish Shihab dan Buya Hamka serta untuk mengkomparasikan konsep adil poligami dalam Tafsir Al-Mishbah dan Al-Azhar. Dari penelitian tersebut terdapat kesimpulan bahwa dalam ayat ketiga surat An-Nisa’ terlihat jelas anjuran menikah lebih dari satu istri adalah awalnya dikarenakan untuk melindungi anak yatim, bukan semata-mata tentang poligami. Dalam ayat ini Buya Hamka menjelaskan adanya keizinan Allah swt untuk melakukan poligami, berbeda dengan Quraish Shihab yang berpendapat dalam tafsir Al-Mishbahnya, bahwa ayat ini menjelaskan tidak adanya anjuran atau kewajiban dalam melakukan poligami

    Artikel ini membahas tentang proses bentuk material Al Quran dari mula hingga mushaf al Quran dalam bentuk kertas yang ada saat ini. Dengan metode pustaka, ditemukan bahwa mushaf quran terbuat dari kertas yang kita kenal saat ini dianggap suci, sesuci Al Quran itu sendiri. Ada adab tersendiri dalam membacanya, menyimpannya, hingga memegangnya, bahkan material pembuatannya pun harus diperhatikan kesuciannya. Dari semesta pemikiran itulah mengapa al Quran memerlukan waktu yang cukup lama dari turunnya kepada Nabi Muhammad untuk menjadi Mushaf, bahkan untuk mencetaknya dalam teknologi cetak Guttenberg memerlukan waktu yang cukup panjang karena takut menciderai kesuciannya

    The Efforts of Islamic Splinter Movements to Withstand from Heretical Issue in Indonesia: Study of LDII, MTA and Jam\u27iyyatul Islamiyah

    This article discusses how the splinter movements in Indonesia, namely LDII (Lembaga Dakwah Islam Indonesia), MTA (Majlis Tafsir Al Quran) and JMI (Jam\u27iyyatul Islamiyah) can survive and develop against two constraints that are the state and Islamic orthodox group. The methods of this research-based article are both library and field research. This article uses comparative analysis from the three movements include their adaptive means to the social and political milieu in Indonesia. The movements start to grow in the 1970\u27. In New Order Era (1966-1998), under Suharto authoritarian regime, these movements use the state approach by joining Golkar, government political party, and help the party to win general elections. However, in the 1990 era, when Suharto starts to embrace the orthodox group, government protection to those religious groups is not enough to withstand the heretical issues that have already spread in public. The issues lead to physical persecution from the mass to these movements. Thus, the only way to survive from that conditions, the three movements start to make an approach to  orthodox groups, especially MUI (Majlis Ulama Indonesia) the mainstream group representative such as NU (Nahdlatul Ulama) and Muhammadiyah two biggest Islamic groups in Indonesia, by making dialogues and complying the Islamic mainstream standards issued by MUI.    &nbsp
