Strophomena pectenoides Andreeva 1961
Strophomena pectenoides Andreeva in Nikiforova & Andreeva, 1961 (Fig. 2) Strophomena ? pectenoides Andreeva in Nikiforova & Andreeva, 1961: 184, pl. XXXIX, figs 1-6. — Lopushinskaya 1976: 39, pl. III, figs 16-19. MATERIAL EXAMINED. — 10 isolated valves from loc. 13, beds 21, 112, Matusevich River, loc. 32, bed 21, Ushakov River, October Revolution Island (Männik et al. 2002: figs 2, 5); Vodopad Formation. REMARKS The specimens have a well developed narrow interarea, small chilidium, and narrow pseudodeltidium. There is a flattened dorsal umbo and a convex median part passing into a prominent sulcus. The shell is covered by fine rounded ribs which intercalate with even finer secondary ones. Low massive dental plates, teeth, and a large subquadrate muscle field with small oval adductors are developed in the ventral interior. The shells are similar to Strophomena kulumbensis Lopushinskaya, 1967 from Chamba, Talikit and Meik formations of East Siberia, but differ from that in possessing more frequent, unequal multicostellae and a chilidium larger than the pseudodeltidium (Lopushins k a y a 1 9 6 7: 8 9, p l. X X, f i g s 3-6). O. N. Andreeva (Nikiforova & Andreeva 1961: 185) attributed pectenoides to Strophomena with a query, because there were no specimens with a ventral muscle field, and noted their resemblance to Coolinia pecten (Linnaeus, 1758). However, the available facts show that the taxon belongs to Strophomena.Published as part of Modzalevskaya, Tatiana L., 2003, Silurian and Devonian brachiopods from Severnaya Zemlya (Russian Arctic), pp. 73-107 in Geodiversitas 25 (1) on page 76, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.537501

Legislative background of food and nutrition policy in Ukraine
Chagarna, Natalia; Andreeva, Tatiana

BACKGROUND: The importance of effective policy aimed at improving nutrition practices is highly recognized by the global community.
METHODS: Analysis of Ukrainian legislative documents was conducted to clarify the situation in the field of policy initiatives and legislation devoted to nutrition in Ukraine. Documents in force adopted from 1991 to 2011 including key words “nutrition”, “health”, “concept”, and “food products” were reviewed.
RESULTS: We reviewed 55 legislative acts related to nutrition and identified several groups: 18 documents are related to organization of supply, regimen, norms of nutrition in state establishments or for special populations; 12 documents related to economic and technological regulation of food preparation, quality control and distribution; 3 documents regulating nutritious and safety norms of food products for children under 3 years; 14 documents aimed to control food safety, quality and accessibility; 6 other documents partly referred to nutrition, including 4 Concepts of healthy lifestyles. Some of the principles of healthy eating are declared in the “Concept of improving food security and quality of nutrition of the population” approved by the Cabinet of Ministers in 2004. Principles of maintaining breastfeeding, activities aimed to reduce iodine deficiency among population as well as school educational program “Foundations of health” were those few governmental activities, which supported some of the ideas declared in the Concept.
CONCLUSION: Great attention of policymakers is paid to regulation of production, distribution of food, its quality control, affordability of products for special population groups, especially children. Not much attention is devoted in the official documents to creating and maintaining the healthy eating practices of the population. Mechanisms aimed to form healthy eating practices are not specified in the legislative documents. No regulatory documents to implement these principles were found. The existing regulatory documents do not fully reflect global trends and practices for healthy eating.
KEYWORDS: healthy eating, nutrition policy.

Andreeva N. O. Key elements of sports techniques of ball throwing and catching by those engaged in rhythmic gymnastics at the stage of preliminary basic preparation / N. O. Andreeva // Journal of Physical Education and Sport. - 2013. - Vol. 13. - № 1. - P. 46-52.The development of science, improvement of medical services and the emergence of new reproductive technologies have contributed to the spread among Ukrainian women of the European demographic trend of increasing birth age, including the first birth (Aksonova, 2019). Thus, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the average age of a mother at the birth of the first child was 25.9 years old (from 23.4 in Zakarpatska region to 29.2 in Kyiv). The desire to achieve career success, to succeed as a person, the lack of a flexible work schedule along with the reduction in the number of public institutions for children, as well as the social insecurity of young families are the reasons that often force women to delay childbearing to 30-35 years old or more
Geissleria baicalosimilis Kulikovskiy, Gusev, Andreeva & Annenkova 2014, sp. nov.
Geissleria baicalosimilis Kulikovskiy, Gusev, Andreeva & Annenkova sp. nov. Figs 2–19 LM, live cells (12–14): One large chloroplast with two lobes. LM (Figs 2–11): Valves elliptic, ends protracted and capitate. Length 14.0–15.6 µm, breadth 5–6 µm. Raphe filiform, axial area narrow, central area small and irregularly bordered. One isolated pore near the middle of central nodule, on primary part of valve. Striae weakly radiate, 16–17 in 10 µm. SEM, external view (Figs 15, 16, 18): The raphe slit is straight without visible sternum. One isolated pore near central nodule. Central raphe ends straight. Terminal raphe ends deflected towards the secondary side of valve and continue onto mantle. Striae uniseriate throughout. Areolae present as short slits, 65–70 in 10 µm of stria. Annulus presents as two rows of larger then in stria areolae, apically elongated. In every row from 3 to 4 apically elongated areolae are present. SEM, internal view (Figs 17, 19): Raphe slit lying in internal sternum.Central raphe endings straight, terminal ends terminate in small helictoglossae. Elongated subpolar areolae (annulus) with warty outgrowths. Internally no hymens or occlusions are observed on the areolae. Type:— RUSSIA: Lake Baikal, pool near Bay, fouling on tree submerged in water, at 8 km from Enkhaluk village, N 52027.042 E 106053.215, 14.07.2011, leg. M. Kulikovskiy (IBIW slide no. 18589/B088, holotype designated here (= Fig. 3)), COLO slide 18589/B088p is isotype. Etymology: —Epithet refers to the similarity with Geissleria similis (Krasske) Lange-Bertalot & Metzeltin (1996: 68) and the type locality. Observations: This species is very similar to G. similis. However it is easy distinguish this species by both quantitative and qualitative features. G. baicalosimilis sp. nov. has finer striae in 10 µm (16–17, not 15) and more finer areolae in 10 µm of stria (65–70, not 60) than in G. similis. Striae in the central area of G. similis are long and almost reach central nodule. Additionally, only two elongate pores (one in each stria) at the end of valve present in G. similis. G. baicalosimilis sp. nov. possesses six or more elongated pores.Published as part of Kulikovskiy, Maxim, Gusev, Evgeniy, Andreeva, Svetlana & Annenkova, Natalia, 2014, Phylogenetic position of the diatom genus Geissleria Lange-Bertalot & Metzeltin and description of two new species from Siberian mountain lakes, pp. 249-260 in Phytotaxa 177 (5) on page 252, DOI: 10.11646/phytotaxa.177.5.1, http://zenodo.org/record/514488
Value of the individual components subject training gymnasts according to the survey of coaches with different skills
Purpose : assess the significance of the individual components subject training gymnasts according to the survey of coaches with different skills. Material : two groups of coaches with different qualifications (n = 40). The first group of coaches -, experience from 1 to 10 years (n = 20); the second group - work experience from 11 to 25 years (n = 20). Gymnasts preliminary stage of basic training. Coaches are asked to answer 15 questions. Results : the content of questioning coaches gymnastics shows the relevance of the basic problems of technical training of young gymnasts (throwing and catching objects). The most difficult exercises in the training and improvement are throws and catches the ball (coefficient of concordance W = 0,814). The necessity of the development and use of new techniques for analyzing sports equipment exercises with the ball, learning and improving them. Conclusions : basic technical training and preparedness of gymnasts to perform exercises with objects represent a problem that is solved enough in theory and practice gymnastics

Chagarna N, Andreeva T (2012) Socio-economic determinants of eating practices of Ukrainians. Tobacco Control and Public Health in Eastern Europe 2 (Supplement 1, 2nd conference 'Economics, sociology, theory and practice of public health'):s39-s40. doi:10.6084/m9.figshare.92770BACKGROUND: Healthy eating practices are among important public healthgoalsworldwide. We aimed to investigate socio-economic determinants of the nutrition habits of Ukrainian families.

METHODS: Data from the “UKRAINIAN LONGITUDINAL MONITORING SURVEY 2007” were analysed. Factor analysis produced variables characterising eating practices, which were re-coded in binary variables indicating low/high food consumption. The bivariate and multivariate analysis was conducted to identify associations between socio-economic state and eating modes.

RESULTS: Three dimensions of nutrition practices were identified in the factor analysis: “standard diet” variable associated with quantities of most food products consumed, it actually shows how much food in general the household consumes, “fruit-and-vegetable diet”variable was associated with quantities of various fruits and vegetables included in the questionnaire, and “processed-(pre-packed)-food diet” variable was created based on its associations with products like sausage. More “processed” food was consumed by members of households which were generally better-off (equipped with dvd-player, computer (laptop), garage), and Russian-speakers. More plant food was consumed by the households with attributes of rural living (equipped with bottled gas, central or individual system of heating, those who possessed a motorcycleor a truck). The owners of a plot adjacent to rural house or land used for gardening were eating more fruits and vegetables. A small group of well-off urban dwellers (like those possessing tumble-dryers), tend to eat more plant food; however, this group is not numerous.

CONCLUSION: Plant food eating in Ukraine stays a factor of survival rather than healthy eating for those households which dwell in rural areas and have no means to choose foods they want. Those people who achieve better socio-economic status tend to increase processed food portion of their diets. Only a very small group of affluent Ukrainian citizens tend to eat much fruit and vegetables contributing to U-form relationship between socio-economic status and antioxidant-rich food consumption.

OBJECTIVE(S): To investigate associations between alcohol drinking by parents at different time of their life and alcohol use by adolescents.

DESIGN: The longitudinal epidemiological study design was used to answer the proposed research questions. This study is based on the data of the Family and Children of Ukraine Study (FCOU), which is a prospective cohort study of women and children.

PARTICIPANTS: Recruited subjects were pregnant women with last menstrual period (LMP) between 25 December 1992 and 23 July 1994. Self-completed questionnaires and the medical record data were collected at the first antenatal clinic visit and at the delivery. The sample in the city of Dniprodzerzhynsk consists of 2148 women, their children and partners (if any), but at 15-17-years-old follow-up only data about 1020 participants were available.

MAIN EXPOSURES: Use of alcohol by mother/father before pregnancy, during pregnancy, and at 15-17 years of child’s age.

OUTCOME MEASURE: Use of alcohol by 15-17-year-old adolescent.

RESULTS: Use of alcohol more than once a week by mother before pregnancy was associated with alcohol abuse by adolescents, unlike father’s use of alcohol before and during pregnancy. Use of alcohol both by mother and father during adolescence of their offspring was strongly associated with alcohol abuse by the child. In the multivariate analysis only alcohol use by mother during adolescence of the child was significantly associated with alcohol use by the adolescent.

CONCLUSIONS: This study supports the hypothesis that concurrent social factors influence regular alcohol use among adolescents more intensively than early life factors.</p
