    In this research author describes the thesis with the title “ The Analysis of Risk Management (Case Study inthe medicine warehouse of Tentara Hospital )“ , is a company engaged in the field of enterprise services. The purpose of study was to find out how to apply risk management in the hospitals pharmacy unit. The method used is observation and interviews directly to the employees of the hospital. From the analysis of the overall pharmaceutical unit, Tentara hospital has 27 types of risk that may occur. The method that the author used to identify the risk is Failure Mode and Affect Analysis (FMEA), to prevent failure and its impact before it happens. The risk analysis will be input for risk evaluation and decision – making process regarding the treatment of such risks. Including in this sense is the way and the right strategy in treating these risks. Results of analysis of this paper was written based on the data obtained from the hospital that is the result of interviews the pharmacy unit, organizational structure and documents that related to the permises activities of pharmacy unit and other data that support this research. The conclusion that obtained from this research is the hospital management in pharmacy unit has been effective, but there are still shortcomings and possible risks that will happen.97 HalamanSkripsi Sarjan

    Efek Antihipertensi Ekstrak Etanol Kombinasi Rambut dan Biji Jagung (Zea mays L.) pada Tikus Hipertensi yang Diinduksi Monosodium Glutamat

    INTISARI  Penelitian sebelumnya membuktikan bahwa infus rambut dan jus biji jagung memiliki efek antihipertensi pada tikus jantan sehingga dapat dikembangkan dalam bentuk ekstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan efek antihipertensi ekstrak etanol kombinasi rambut dan biji jagung (EEK-RBJ) pada tikus hipertensi yang diinduksi monosodium glutamat  (MSG). EEK-RBJ dibuat menggunakan metode maserasi. Tikus hipertensi dibuat dengan cara pemberian MSG 100 mg/kgBB/hari selama 14 hari sampai tekanan darah sistol   ≥  155 mmHg. Tikus hipertensi yang digunakan sebanyak 25 ekor, dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol hipertensi (CMC-Na 0,5% 12,5 mL/kgBB/hari), kelompok furosemid 5,04 mg/kgBB/hari), dan kelompok EEK-RBJ (125, 250 dan 500) mg/kgBB/hari. Sediaan uji diberikan satu kali sehari selama 14 hari (p.o). Data yang diamati adalah perbedaan tekanan darah sistol dan diastol sebelum dan setelah pemberian sediaan uji serta perbedaan penurunan tekanan darah. Data perbedaan tekana darah dianalisa secara statistik menggunakan uji t-berpasangan atau  uji  Wilcoxon  (P: 0,95). Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa EEK-RBJ (125, 250 dan 500) mg/Kg BB/hari selama 14 hari mampu menurunkan tekanan darah sistol dan diastol tikus hipertensi dengan pola tergantung dosis. EEK-RBJ 500 mg/Kg BB/hari dapat menurunkan tekanan darah sistol dan diastol tikus hipertensi yang diinduksi MSG berturut-turut sebesar 20,04 mmHg dan 13,16 mmHg. Kata Kunci: Efek antihipertensi, ekstrak kombinasi, rambut dan biji jagung, MSG  ABSTRACT   In previous studies, infusion of silk and corn seed combination have antihypertensive effects, so it can develop in the form of extracts. The purpose of this study is to reveal the antihypertensive effect of a silk and seed corn ethanol extract (SSC-EE) on MSG-induced hypertensive rats. SSC-EE produced with maceration. MSG 100 mg/kg BW/day for 14 days orally used to induce hypertension condition in male Wistar rats until systolic blood pressure ≥ 150 mmHg. Twenty-five of hypertensive rats divided into five groups. Hypertensive rats in Group I treated with CMC-Na 0.5% 12.5 mL/kg BW/day and group II treated with Furosemide 5.04 mg/kg BW/day. Meanwhile, group III, IV and V treated with SSC-EE (125, 250 and 500) mg/kg BW/day. SSC-EE was treated orally once daily for 14 days. Systolic and diastolic blood pressure, before and after of extracts treatment and blood pressure decline was observed and analyzed statistically using paired t-test or Wilcoxon test (P: 0.95). The results show that SSC-EE (125, 250 and 500) mg/Kg BW/day for 14 days can decrease the MSG-induced hypertensive rats systolic and diastolic blood pressure (p<0.05) with the dose-dependent manner. SSC-EE 500 mg/Kg BW/day decrease the systolic and diastolic blood pressure of 20.04 mmHg and 13.16 mmHg, respectively. Keywords: Antihypertensive effect, combination extract, silk and seed corn, MS

    PENILAIAN KONSUMEN TERHADAP PERAN APOTEK SEBAGAI TEMPAT PELAYANAN INFORMASI OBAT DI KABUPATEN KUDUS

    ABSTRACT Pharmacists in community pharmacy have a professional obligation to provide information on exact, safe and rational of drug use to the patient. The purpose of this study is to investigate the consumer’s assessment on the role of community pharmacy as a central of drug information services in all of pharmacy on Kudus regency. The study was performed through direct observation by using a questionnaire on consumers in all of pharmacy in Kudus regency. Respondent selection was determined by a combination of proportional random and accidental sampling. Data analysis performed including a compliance analysis using the Likert scale. Respondent’s answers were categorizing with a normal standard distribution. Cartesian diagram is used to determine the order of priority of the factors that affect consumer satisfaction. The results show that the majority of pharmacy consumers (61.03 %) are satisfies with the drug information services in community pharmacy.  Level of concordance between consumer expectations and satisfaction in accepting drug information at community pharmacy are 90% - 99%.  The consumer knowledge about the safety of medication use and their attitudes on the role of community pharmacists is quite high. They still doubt about the truth of drug information provided by pharmacist or pharmacist assistant. Consumers expect a guarantee of the truth and credibility of drug information provided by the pharmacist and pharmacist assistant in community pharmacy.     UJI AKTIVITAS REPELLENT FRAKSI N-HEKSAN EKSTRAK ETANOLIK DAUN MIMBA (Azadirachta indica A. Juss) TERHADAP NYAMUK AEDES AEGYPTI

    Daun mimba dipercaya masyarakat dapat menolak hinggapan nyamuk Aedes aegypti, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai repellent. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan aktifitas repellent fraksi n-heksan ekstrak etanolik daun mimba terhadap nyamuk Aedes aegypti, dan mengidentifikasi senyawa golongan terpenoid dalam fraksi n-heksan tersebut. Ekstrak etanolik daun mimba dibuat dengan menggunakan metode Maserasi dan selanjutnya difraksinasi dengan menggunakan pelarut n-heksan.  Fraksi n-heksan ekstrak etanolik daun mimba konsentrasi 10, 20, 40% dalam pelarut etanol dioleskan pada pergelangan tangan bagian atas hingga ujung jari dan kemudian dimasukkan ke dalam sangkar nyamuk.  Tiap sangkar nyamuk berisi 30 ekor nyamuk Aedes aegypti betina berumur 3-5 hari yang telah dipuasakan selama 24 jam. Pengujian dihentikan apabila terdapat hinggapan nyamuk untuk pertama kalinya. Data yang diperoleh berupa rata-rata waktu penolakan terhadap hinggapan nyamuk.  Analisa statistik dilakukan terhadap data waktu penolakan menggunakan uji Kruskal-Wallis yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Mann-Whitney pada taraf kepercayaan 95%. Identifikasi senyawa aktif golongan terpenoid dilakukan dengan menggunakan Kromatografi Lapis Tipis (KLT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fraksi n-heksan ekstrak etanolik daun mimba mengandung senyawa aktif golongan terpenoid.  Pada konsentrasi 20 dan 40%, fraksi n-heksan tersebut memiliki aktivitas sebagai repellent karena dapat menolak hinggapan nyamuk Aedes aegypti secara berturut-turut selama 329 dan 915 detik (5,48 dan15,25 menit).   Kata kunci :     Repellent, fraksi n-heksan ekstrak etanolik daun mimba, Aedes aegypt

    ABSTRACTThyfoid fever is a suddenly fever causing by Salmonella Typhii infection. Pharma coeconomi research can help pharmacologist and nursing for deciding exact and efficient antibiotic medicine using. Direction of this research showing description of antibiotic using which consist of choosing group and type of antibiotic, single or combination using, oral on injection antibiotic supply, identification of component and therapy cost, calculating medicine using cost comparison against therapy cost on typhoid fever room caring patient in Puskesmas Tlogosari Kulon on 2007. This research is retrospective with descriptive data analysis. Data taken from 183 medical report of room caring typhoid fever patient on Puskesmas Tlogoari Kulon on 2007. Information from medical record is patient identity, medicine therapy, laboratory and caring time. Therapy cost counted from healthy tariff service book of Puskesmas Tlogosari Kulon. The result of research showing description of antibiotic using in typhoid fever room caring on Puskesmas Tlogosari Kulon on 2007 consist of : the most antibiotic used penisilin 40,45%, kuinolon 23,16%, kloramfenikol 22,64% the most antibiotic used ampisilin 34,35%, siprofloksasin 23,16%, kloramfenikol 17,81%, the most single giving antibiotic is kloranfenikol 5,15%, siprofloksasin 4,46%, combination antibiotic is ampisilin and siprofloksasin 26,80%, ampisilin and kloramfenikol 15,98%, the most givig way is oral combination and injection 82,52%,. Component and therapy cost of typhoid fever patient consist of : antibiotic cost Rp. 87.404,- non antibiotic cost Rp. 104.168,- accommodation and administration Rp.85.131,- visit cost or medician visit consultation Rp. 31.902,- act cost Rp. 25.306 and supporting checking cost Rp. 37.279.     ABSTRACTNeurodegenerative is often associated with aging. The aging process will affect the decrease in nerve cells, especially brain nerve cells. Ethyl acetate fraction of kemukus fruit ethanol extract (FEAEE) of kemukus fruit has been investigated as a memory enhancer with the Morris water maze (MWM) method. One of the shortcomings of the Morris water maze method is that it causes stress in test animals, thus affecting their memory. This study aims to determine the memory enhancing activity of FEAEE of kemukus fruit with the radial arm maze method This research is an experimental study with pre and posttest matched control group design using 25 male mice, Balb/c strains divided into 5 groups. Mice group 1 as a negative control group were given a 1% CMC Na solution of 17.5 mg/mL. Group mice 2 - 5 were given FEAEE of kemukus fruit with doses of 63, 126, 252, and 504 mg/kgBB, respectively. Test material is given orally for 21 days. Observations were made on the frequency of mice passing the platform correctly and incorrectly and calculating memory scores using the radial arm maze (RAM) method. Differences in memory scores were analyzed by the Mann Whitney test. The results showed that FEAEE steamed fruit has memory enhancing activity.     UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIDIABETES KOMBINASI EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN ALPUKAT DAN RIMPANG TEMULAWAK PADA TIKUS DM TIPE-2 YANG MENGALAMI RESISTENSI INSULIN

    ABSTRACT Avocado’s leaves and Curcuma xanthorrizarhizoma contain compounds of flavonoids, alcaloids,triterpenoids and curcumin, where the compounds are effective as antidiabetic agents. This study aims to prove the effect of antidiabetic combination of extracts on insulin resistence type-2 diabetic rats then to compare it with a single extract. This research used pre-test and post-test control group design. The 30 test animals were divided into two treatment groups. Five control groups of rats were they given 1,25 mL aquabides/KgBW/day, and 25 rats were divided into five groups and given were given 1,8 IU insulin/KgBW/day for 14 days. Group I was control of 12,5 mL CMC-Na/KgBW/day 0,5%, group II was positive control of 150 mg metformin/KgBW/day, group III was avocado’s leaves extract, group IV was extract of Curcuma xanthorriza rhizoma, and group V was combination extract. The extracts of group III-V were given the same dose, that was given 200 mg/KgBW/day for 14 days. The meansurement of antidiabetic effect was done by comparing the GDP value of rats before and after treatment. The GDP concentrations of rats were analyzed using T-paired testand Wilxocon test, whereas the comparative data of percentage GDP decrease was tested using Kruskall Wallis test then followed by Mann-Whitney test. The results showed that the effect of antidiabetic combination of extract in insulin resistence type-2 diabetic rats as the percentage GDP decrease was 22.03%. The effect of decreasing GDP concentration at the ratio of 1:1 extract did not differ significantly with the single extract of 200 mg Curcuma xanthorrizarhizoma/KgBW/day.     POTENSI FRAKSI n-HEKSAN EKSTRAK ETANOL RIMPANG LENGKUAS [Alpinia galanga (L.) Swartz.] DALAM MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS SPERMA DAN SPERMATOGENESIS

    ABSTRACT Flavonoids and steroid's compounds have been identifying in the galangal rhizome [Alpinia galanga (L.) Swartz.]. This compound has hormonal and antioxidant effects and can improve the spermatogenesis and quality of spermatozoa. The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of the n-hexane fractions from galangal rhizome ethanol extract (HFGREE) on male Swiss mice spermatogenesis and quality of spermatozoa. This research is a laboratory experimental with randomized matched post test only controls group design. Twenty-four male Swiss mice (8-weeks old) divided among four groups: control groups (mice treated with CMC 1.0% 10 mL.kg-1.day-1), and three groups of mice treated with HFGREE (1.29; 2.58 and 5.16) mg.kg-1.day-1 for 30 days. All mice sacrificed at day 31. Furthermore, testicular tissue sections are used to calculate the score of spermatogenesis. Spermatozoa in the epididymis were used to assess the quality of spermatozoa. The results showed the HFRGEE (2.58 and 5.16) mg.kg-1.day-1 for 30 days, significantly elevate spermatogenesis score, and improve the spermatozoa count, spermatozoa motility, healthy and normal spermatozoa of male Swiss mice (p<0.05). Further studies can focus on the identification of active compounds in HFGREE that play a role in improving spermatogenesis and quality of spermatozoa.
