Método para gerenciamento integrado de bacia hidrográfica com adoção de indicadores sócio-econômico-ambientais

Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Civil.Atualmente o crescimento acelerado das áreas urbanas é motivado por fatores como o êxodo rural. Este êxodo direciona a atividade da policultura anteriormente desenvolvida pelas famílias, para o cultivo e desenvolvimento de atividades baseadas na monocultura em grandes extensões. A pressão exercida pelas grandes lavouras ocasiona desequilíbrios sócio-econômico-ambientais nas regiões onde ocorrem e, em específico, nas Bacias Hidrográficas inseridas em seu contexto. Esta Tese elaborou método para gerenciamento integrado de bacia hidrográfica com adoção de indicadores sócio-econômico-ambientais, sendo aplicados na Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio Duna com objetivo de efetuar a Gestão da Unidade submetida à pressão exercida pela atividade orizícola. O método proposto analisou, de forma integrada, mapas segmentados, sociais, econômicos e ambientais e consolidou por meio da avaliação de indicadores de gestão de bacias hidrográficas o grau de Vulnerabilidade da Bacia. Os trabalhos foram desenvolvidos tendo por base conceitos e estudos ambientais que possibilitaram apresentar um modelo que visa ao Desenvolvimento Sustentável da área em questão. A Primeira etapa do trabalho proporcionou efetuar cadastro temático a campo de todos os produtores, arrendatários e meeiros moradores da região. Dados primários foram levantados a campo com o objetivo de avaliação de impactos ambientais e consolidação de Mapas Temáticos, como Vulnerabilidade Ambiental e Sócio-Econômica e de Gestão Ambiental Sustentável. Para este estudo foram utilizadas imagens dos satélites QuickBird e LANDSAT, e o software ArcGis. A proposta definida pelo trabalho demonstrou a possibilidade de diagnosticar o meio ambiente por meio de indicadores que avaliaram a fragilidade e sensibilidade do local. A identificação dos indicadores com sua atribuição de valores e atributos foram estudadas ao longo da Tese, para melhor definição dos critérios da pesquisa e metodologia. Foi utilizada como análise multicritério a Técnica Delphi possibilitando ponderar as equações e garantir uma análise multidisciplinar da área em estudo. Os resultados alcançados e as conclusões do estudo permitiram identificar a Vulnerabilidade das Bacias Hidrográficas e buscar a Sustentabilidade Ambiental da região.Currently the growth of urban areas is motivated by factors like rural exodus. This exodus directs the activity of the policulture previously developed by families for the cultivation and development of activities based on the monoculture in large extensions. The pressure exerted by the large plantations causes environmental and socio-economic imbalance in the regions where it happens and specially in the hydrographic basins inserted in its context. This project aims to elaborate a specific methodology to be applied in hydrographic basins with the purpose of performing the unit management, evaluating the social, economical and environmental aspects in an integrated way, based on the case study of River Duna hydrographic basin, submitted to the pressure exerted by rice plantation activity. The proposed method analyzes in an integrated way the social, economical and environmental segmented maps and consolidates, through the evaluation of specific indicators the sensibility degree of the hydrographic basin. The first stage of the work was executed through the deal established with the State Public Ministry with resources from the Fund for Damaged Assets Reconstitution (FRBL), and offered to perform a technical record of the region, as well as a survey on the specific field data with the purpose to consolidate sensibility and thematic maps. For this assay images from the satellites Quick Bird and LANDSAT were used, as well as the Ark Gis software, acquired with FRBL#s resources. The proposal to be defined by this project aims to demonstrate the possibility of evaluating the environment through indicators that evaluate the expectations, fragilities and sensitivity of the studied area. The identification of the indicators with its value attributions and attributes has been studied along this Thesis, for better defining the research criteria and methodology. The Delphi Technique was used as a multicriteria analysis, making it possible to weigh up the equations and ensure a multidisciplinar analysis of the studied area. The reached results and the conclusions of the study will allows us to identify the vulnerability of the River Basins and search for the Environmental Sustainability of the region
Estudo para um planejamento ambiental da Costeira do Pirajubaé Florianópolis - Santa Catarina

Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia AmbientalO presente estudo de caso consiste em entender os procedimentos iniciais do processo de gerenciamento costeiro integrado, especialmente em fase de identificação dos principais problemas, com as respectivas análises, presentes na Costeira do Pirajubaé. Para entender uma comunidade característica, como é a Costeira do Pirajubaé, tão dentro da urbanidade ligada a uma capital de Estado e tão inserida num ambiente geográfico peculiar, com áreas de preservação limítrofes, torna-se necessário situá-la num patamar socioeconômico, sem perder de vista a sua localização espacial própria. Com essa visão e para tal objetivo, efetuou-se um criterioso levantamento de informações junto à comunidade, bem como, junto aos representantes de organismos governamentais e não-governamentais que ali atuam. A coleta de dados foi realizada com a aplicação de questionários junto à comunidade e aos demais envolvidos, sendo possível elaborar um diagnóstico representativo da região em estudo. O presente trabalho pretende ainda entender as similaridades e diferenças entre a comunidade e os atores governamentais e os não-governamentais que ali atuam de acordo com as respostas obtidas. A falta de mobilização da comunidade, o uso e ocupação indevida do solo e a falta de aplicação da legislação ambiental vigente foram os principais problemas identificados por parte dos atores, sendo que por parte da comunidade a necessidade de infra-estrutura, de policiamento e segurança e de conclusão da Via Expressa. O exercício do processo de planejamento exige tempo e vontade política, podendo ser obtidos benefícios futuros diretos e indiretos para um adequado programa de Gerenciamento Costeiro Integrado. Este trabalho terá utilidade aos administradores e lideranças municipais, associações comunitárias, entidades governamentais e não-governamentais, propiciando a tomada de decisão que vise o desenvolvimento sustentável integrado da Região
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation

Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
