Photography is an art of seeing. In other words, photography taught us a unique way of seeing the world and provide a new awareness of the beauty in all around us. Photography also teaches us to look deeper, dig meaning, and understand that foster a sense of love that can create inspiration. And that's where a variety of photographic works of world photographers popping. One of them is Andreas Gursky, a German-born artist photo, with his work entitled Rhein II. The work contrasts sharply with what is seen by many people. The depth of meaning and its presence will be able to open the eyes of a fictional presence of a real existence

Human and Time : Penciptaan Fotografi Berlandaskan Pada Keniscayaan Waktu

    No full text

Time is a concept that isentirely dependent on human perception. Time is a concept that depends on events that canbe compared with what happened. Someone, even every man cannot be separated from theentity of time. No matter how someone wants to get away, he would never be separated from“his” time, even death is still surrounded by time. Based on the concept of time, then an ideaabout the creation of photography with the theme of time and surrealist styles popped up. Thecharacteristis of this photography project emphasizes on shooting human subjects wrappedin a white cloth as a representation of time. Lighting element is very highly considered toshow the expressions of the subject that it could be recorded properly. In the meanwhile, themoment, the choice of light direction, and exploration using multiple exposure technique, areessential parts of this work

The Role of AI from the Perspective of Art Photography. Art photography is a medium of visual expression that emphasizes aesthetics, concepts, and subjectivity. With the advancement of technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has begun to play a significant role in the creation of artistic photographic works. This research aims to examine how AI influences the practices and values within contemporary art photography. Using a literature review and visual analysis approach, this study explores the application of AI in generating artistic images, processing visual aesthetics, and fostering creative collaboration between photographers and machines. The findings indicate that AI is not merely a technical tool, but also an opener of new opportunities for experimenting with form, visual narratives, and the creation of imaginative realities. However, critical challenges also arise concerning originality, ownership of work, and the artist's identity in the era of visual automation. Therefore, a deep understanding of AI's role in art photography is essential to maintain a balance between technological innovation and the artistic values that underpin the practice of photography itself

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Implementation of the 3-O Approach As an Innovation in Radio Program Production

    No full text
Radio is one of the mass media that evolves along with the development of technology. Innovations are made not only in techniques, but also in broadcast program production. In the past, radio focused more on producing programs for On-Air and Off-Air, now radio has added a platform for producing its programs, that is Online. This innovation was carried out not only to be able to expand opportunities for advertising as a source of income, but also to meet the needs of listeners whose ways of consuming media have also changed along with the development of digital technology. This prompted the current research. The problem raised is how the implementation of On-air, Off-air, and also online approaches can be carried out in a broadcast radio program production. The purpose of this research is to find out and understand the implementation and its influence on the quality of programs on radio media. By using a qualitative approach and descriptive interview and observation methods, it is hoped that this research can describe the process of applying the On-Air, Off-Air, and Online approaches to radio broadcast programs. The results of this study are expected to provide solutions in improving the quality of radio broadcast programs which can provide great opportunities for advertising. Keywords: radio program, 3-O, On Air – Off Air Online, radio visio

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
