Parasitic effects of the metallic towers on the characteristics of the broadcast antennas
In this article, we use a tool NEC (Numerical Electromagnetic Code) to model antenna on top of a tower structure. Simulation results for the parasitic effect of the tower on characteristics of broadcast DVB‐T (Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial) antenna such as input impedance, return loss, gain, front‐to‐back ratio and radiation patterns are reported. In addition, the effect of a nearby tower on antenna characteristics is studied. A 3D tower and broadband antenna in the UHF (470‐862) MHz band are constructed. The antenna works for both digital and analog TV with return loss (RL) ≥ 10 dB, fractional bandwidth of 87% and gain of 12.3 dBi at center frequency. The effective radiated power is calculated by mounting the antenna at each face of the tower to give a satisfactory coverage to a region around the antenna

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Bunun 6418 i ilçe merkezi, 2287 si Çayırbaşı Beldesi, 2449 u Zafertepeçalköy Beldesi ve 14108 i köylerde yaşamaktadır.
Altintaş Creek Watershed and most of its environs that are study area are located at the Aegean Region’s inner west Anatolia's sub-region. Also this site is in the border of the Afyonkarahisar, Kutahya, Usak and Eskisehir provinces.
Kocadag Mount (1.552 m) and Kulaksiz Mount (1.588 m) located at the north of the study area. The study area is surrounded with Kartal Mount (1.442 m) from the southern part, Tava Mount from the western part and Kalankaya Mount (1.361 m). The most important economic activities are agriculture and animal breeding, but the other activities are not developed in this area. The reasons of this are physical geographic conditions and also inadequate business circumstances
Development of a Novel MultiBody Mechatronic Model for Five-Axis CNC Machine Tool
The paper presents the development of a mechatronic hybrid model for Geiss five-axis CNC machine tool using MultiBody-System (MBS) approach. The motion control systems comprising electrical and mechanical elements are analyzed and modeled. The 3D assembly of the machine tool is built in SolidWorks and exported into SimMechanics which interfaces seamlessly with SimPowerSystems, SimDriveline, and Simulink packages. CNC machine tools are mechatronic systems incorporating non-linearities so the proposed multibody mechatronic model (which considers the coupling of elastic mechanical structures with the control systems) represents accurately the dynamic behaviour of the actual machine by using only one simulation environment
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Integral-Equation Study of Ray Effects and Natural-Mode Resonances in a 2-D Dielectric Prism
Altintas, Ayhan/0000-0002-3501-4010We analyze the interplay of two different types of electromagnetic behavior demonstrated by a 2-D dielectric prism: Geometrical Optics and resonance. As it is shown, the first is responsible, for instance, for enhanced reflection from an isosceles 90-degree prism of arbitrary epsilon and size, if illuminated from the base. The second is responsible for the peaks in the total scattering and absorption cross-sections (RCS) at the natural-mode frequencies. The numerical model is based on Nystrom discretization of Muller-type integral equations that provides guarantied convergence
