    No full text
This article presents the ideas of factfulness created by H. Rosling and “new realism” presented by R. Bregman in his book Homo Sapiens. The author connects these ideas with subjects and topics present in obligatory reading according to “Podstawa Programowa” [core curriculum]. The author is convinced that “people are better than we think” (Bregman, 2020) and that we should use critical thinking and the idea of factfulness. In this article, she analyses whether those obligatory books are somehow still up-to-date for primary school students and presents some alternative books worth reading in class in order to bring hope and an optimistic look at the future of humanity. This article presents the ideas of factfulness created by H. The article discusses changes in education that have resulted from the digital revolution. The author analyses changes in young people’s behaviour, their mentality, their methods of learning and the consequences of these changes. She describes the situation of young people and teachers being forced to change their way of thinking and modernize the modes of cooperation at school. She presents some possibilities of using multimedia tools in Polonistic didactics. They can help in the effective shaping of skills needed to function properly in the future. The article discusses changes in education that have resulted from the digital revolution. At the beginning of 2008 the Ministry of Treasure presented its privatization targets and programme of activities planned for the period 2008 – 2011. This article aims at presenting guidelines and directions of the governmental programme as compared to dynamics of the privatization processes so far. The author continues to analyze the quota of income from privatization in the total Polish budget, holding it as a basic indicator of effectiveness of the privatization process. The efficacy of the programme implementation will be estimated in 2011 and Polish economy will be influenced by it for a lot more years to come

Artykuł porusza kwestię roli szkoły w kształtowaniu empatii u uczniów. Przedstawiono zestawienie definicji empatii w pracach uznanych badaczy i trudności wynikające z wielości definicji. Autorka stawia tezę, że wprowadzenie do praktyki szkolnej elementów języka porozumienia bez przemocy i definiowanie empatii wg tego podejścia może przynieść znaczną korzyść uczniom i nauczycielom. Przedstawia propozycje sytuacji z praktyki szkolnej, w których porozumienie bez przemocy kształtuje empatię i wzbogaca życie uczniów i nauczycieli. This article is about teaching empathy. The author presents the most popular psychological definitions of empathy and points out some troubling effects of multiplicity of these deffinitions. The main argument of the article is to bring empathy to schools by using nonviolent communication created by Marshall Rosenberg and to use his definitione of empathy. The author presents main rulez of NVC and maintains that using NVC can enrich students’ and teachers’ lives in many ways. School-life situations presented in this article work as exaplmes of how to implement NVC into school and what are the advantages it may bring

This article presents opinions and postulates of neurodidactics, starting the change in education. The author, using parts of results of the research called “Dydaktyka literatury i języka polskiego w gimnazjum w świetle nowej podstawy programowej” (eng. “Polish language and literature didactics in a secondary school in the light of the new curriculum”) considers the situation of Polish language education in a secondary school influenced by new research results connected with the efficiency of education.Artykuł przedstawia postulaty zmian w edukacji stawiane przez neurodydaktykę. Autorka, korzystając z części wyników badania „Dydaktyka literatury i języka polskiego w gimnazjum w świetle nowej podstawy programowej”, podejmuje refleksję nad sytuacją dydaktyki polonistycznej w gimnazjum w świetle nowych doniesień badawczych związanych z efektywnością procesu kształcenia

ON APPLICABILITY OF SUCCESSIVE STEADY STATES METHOD TO THE ANALYSIS OF PRESSURE BUILD-UP CURVES OF GAS WELLS

The article discusses the applicability of successive steady states method to the analysis of pressure build-up curves of gas wells is discussed. It is shown that it is possible to obtain more precise Kozeny – Kar- man formula for formation well area. It is shown also that the volume where after flow gas accumulates may be defined out from the behavior of initial part of pressure build-up curve

A Second-Order Numerical Method for a Class of Optimal Control Problems

    No full text
The numerical solution of optimal control problems through second-order methods is examined in this paper. Controlled processes are described by a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. There are two specific characteristics of the class of control actions used. The first one is that controls are searched for in a given class of functions, which depend on unknown parameters to be found by minimizing an objective functional. The parameter values, in general, may be different at different time intervals. The second feature of the considered problem is that the boundaries of time intervals are also optimized with fixed values of the parameters of the control actions in each of the intervals. The special cases of the problem under study are relay control problems with optimized switching moments. In this work, formulas for the gradient and the Hessian matrix of the objective functional with respect to the optimized parameters are obtained. For this, the technique of fast differentiation is used. A comparison of numerical experiment results obtained with the use of first- and second-order optimization methods is presented
