Innovation for Sustainability:Literature Review and Bibliometric Analysis
In this chapter, Albareda and Hajikhani propose a literature review and bibliometric analysis on innovation for sustainability (IfS). Applying the Network Analysis Interface for Literature Studies (NAILS) toolkit, we study the impact and dissemination of five key IfS goal-oriented discussions: strategic, operational, organizational, collaborative and systemic. The strategic and operational discussions are the most cited, including major papers on strategic concepts and the development of operational changes structuring the research. Our bibliometric analysis shows how, since 2002, IfS has expanded from business management, strategy, innovation and operations connecting to the main discussion in environmental sciences, environmental engineering and ecology. The main challenge for researchers is to build scientific knowledge that has a real impact in organizations and businesses. Managers and entrepreneurs can use these five-oriented goals of IfS to understand how to apply IfS goals into real practices
San Josemaría y José María Albareda (1935-1939) / St. Josemaría and José María Albareda (1935-1939)
The article begins with a brief biographical profile of José María Albareda. It describes his studies and professional activity and gives an account of the circumstances surrounding his first meeting with St. Josemaría and his becoming a member of Opus Dei. Then the time they spent together from the moment of their escape from Madrid in 1937 is dealt with as well as the echo of the teachings of Josemaría Escrivá, which may be discovered in the tasks that occupied Albareda until 1939, when the “Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas” was set up, Albareda was General Secretary of this Institution
La relación epistolar de José María Albareda con Gregorio Marañón
This article examines a little-known aspect of the life of José María Albareda (1902-1966), secretary general of the Consejo Superior de Investiga- ciones Científicas (CSIC) from its foundation in 1939 until his death in 1966, i.e., his relationship with Gregorio Marañón (1887-1960). I first discuss Albareda’s opinion of Dr. Marañón when he was a young researcher in the 1930s and then analyze their relationship based on their correspondence during the 1940s and 1950s.Este artículo examina un aspecto poco conocido de la vida de José María Albareda (1902-1966), secretario general del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) desde su fundación en 1939 hasta su muerte en 1966: su relación con Gregorio Marañón (1887-1960).

The Changing Role of Government in Corporate Responsibility. A report for practitioners
This report explores the role of government in promoting CR through the interactions between business, government and civil society organizations and it has been written to help practitioners in these three sectors better understand the different public
policies that exist to promote CR in Europe
Exact solutions to a class of stochastic generalized assignment problems
This paper deals with a stochastic Generalized Assignment Problem with recourse. Only a random subset of the given set of jobs will require to be actually processed. An assignment of each job to an agent is decided a priori, and once the demands are known, reassignments can be performed if there are overloaded agents. We construct a convex approximation of the objective function that is sharp at all feasible solutions. We then present three versions of an exact algorithm to solve this problem, based on branch and bound techniques, optimality cuts, and a special purpose lower bound. numerical results are reported.
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
