L’autrice ripercorre e descrive, a partire dalla critica al concetto di oggetto, la peculiare dialettica di astratto e concreto al centro dalle indagini whiteheadiane sull’esperienza percettiva. Successivamente, viene mostrato come la pratica filosofica differisca da ogni genere di scienza, pur necessitandone in virtù della co-implicazione di oggetto ed evento, astrazione e riconoscimento.

This article analyzes the relationship between philosophy, experience and event in A.N. Whitehead’s thought. From the critic of the concept of object, the author retraces and describes the peculiar “abstract-concrete dialectic”, at the center of the researches concerning the perceptual experience.
Furthermore, according to Whitehead’s later works, she demonstrates how the philosophical practice is different from all other kinds of science, although it requires science itself because of the co-implication of object and event, abstraction and recognition

No full textOf 4,617 babies born in Coventry in 1986, a total of 448 (9.7%) had either clinical abnormality of the hip or at risk factors for CDH. All were examined by ultrasound, but only 17 required treatment (3.7 per 1,000); in five of these no clinical abnormality had been detected. An additional 81 babies had ultrasound abnormalities but did not require treatment, despite the fact that ultrasound at first showed major hip displacement in 17 of them. Three late cases of CDH have presented among the babies born in 1986, but not examined by ultrasound. This incidence of late CDH is unchanged compared with the previous nine years, although ultrasound had detected covert displacement in a number of hips. <br/

Golden Horde History in the Works of A.N. Kurat
No full textThe article examines main works of the famous Turkish historian A.N. Kurat, his views and assessments of the Golden Horde history. It is known that A.N. Kurat introduced into scholarly circulation yarlyks-letters of the Golden Horde khans, which he found in the archives of the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. A number of his works and articles are devoted to the Golden Horde and its rulers. The article discusses the works of A.N. Kurat that are dedicated to the Golden Horde, as well as his main ideas, sources of the author. The works of A.N. Kurat still have not lost their significance. His works on the Golden Horde topics are mainly devoted to the source study, his reconstruction of events is based on primary sources of the Golden Horde origin. Kurat also noted the special importance of his own sources. In his works, he explored the following three Golden Horde documents: Bitik of Ulugh Muhammad Murad II, letter of Mahmud Khan bin Muhammad Khan bin Timur Khan to Fatih Sultan Mehmed, and letter of Ahmad Khan ibn Muhammad ibn Timur Khan to Fatih Sultan Mehmed. Kurat studied yarlyks and bitiks at a high scholarly level of source studies. They still are the basis for the study of the Golden Horde documents. Thanks to the good knowledge of the Ottoman, Russian, European sources, and historiography A.N. Kurat analyzed in detail the political situation in the Golden Horde; especially valuable are his works on the 15th century. His works on the period of Ulug Muhammad are still among the most important works devoted to this outstanding personage of the late Golden Horde. In his works Kurat asked himself: why the Golden Horde disintegrated? In search of answers to this question he put to the first place the confrontation between Tokhtamysh Khan and Timur Aksak. His conclusions about relationship between the Golden Horde and the Ottoman Empire are confirmed by the latest works on this topic

The Conceptosphere of A.N. Tolstoy’s Prose (Literary Aspect)
Get PDFThe article deals with A.N. Tolstoy’s conceptosphere, which has found a vivid artistic embodiment in his work. The research focuses on the literary understanding of the concept and determines its semantic scope. The author proceeds from the interpretation of the concept as a complex synthetic formation that combines an image and a concept, an ideologeme and a mythologeme. The article focuses on the universalism of the concept. The study of the conceptosphere helps to identify the characteristic signs of the writer’s world as an artistic system. The article gives the classification of the main concepts in the prose of A.N. Tolstoy. We are talking about such concepts as “childishness,” “objectivity of vision,” “everyday dimension,” “fabric of everyday life,” “physicality,” “thing,” “game,” “adventures” (“escapades”), “amazement” (“surprise”), “dynamics / statics,” “backwoods,” “city and civilization,” “time” (and its gradations), “turmoil,” “power,” “laughter,” and “happiness in love.” The combination of these interconnected and Tolstoy-like unique universals allows us to get closer to understanding the author’s code and reveal their connection with the fundamental life / death opposition. The article traces the formation of the Tolstoy conceptosphere and its movement from the direct discovery children’s primary principles of life to the complex multidimensional comprehension of the deep foundations of human existence in its space-time coordinates. The article provides an idea about the influence of A.N. Tolstoy’s conceptual sphere on the macro- and micropoetics of the writer’s prose and particular nuances of the narrative manner of the great word artist

The following quantitative measures are used to study 272 articles published in Malaysian Journal of Computer Science, (1) the article productivity of the journal from 1985 to 2007, (2) the observed and expected authorship productivity tested using Lotka's Law of author productivity, identification and listing of core authors; (3) the authorship, co-authorship pattern by authors' country of origin and institutional affiliations; (4) the subject areas of research; (5) the citation analysis of resources referenced as well as the age and half-life of citations; the journals referenced and tested for zonal distribution using Bradford's law of journal scattering; the extent of web citations; and (6) the citations received by articles published in MJCS and impact factor of the journal based on information obtained from Google Scholar, the level of author and journal self-citation

No full textLa passione per Dante, che accompagnò il grande comparatista russo A.N. Veselovskij fin dai suoi primi studi, viene a saldarsi precocemente con l'interesse per l’età che risulterà poi cruciale nella sua vicenda intellettuale, vale a dire la fase di transizione dal Medioevo alla modernità. Anche per questa ragione, l’autore della Commedia appare un caposaldo della sua ricerca, e occupa un arco di tempo prolungato che va dal 1859, quando, poco più che ventenne, Veselovskij recensì il libro di Hartwig Floto, Dante Alighieri, sein Leben und sein Werke, fino al 1893 della voce Dante Alig’eri redatta per il Dizionario enciclopedico Brockhaus-Efron. Tra questi estremi sono racchiusi vari contributi specifici che, nonostante il tempo trascorso, e nonostante aspetti inevitabilmente datati, ancora si distinguono per la modernità evidente nel metodo, o meglio, nei metodi, se confrontati con la critica ottocentesca. In particolare, l’ampiezza cronologica degli studi su Dante permette di osservare il divenire della poetica di Veselovskij, che si era formato alla scuola di Fëdor I. Buslaev, l’esponente principale in Russia della corrente mitografica, e giunge ai precorrimenti del Formalismo nei saggi fondamentali dedicati a "Dante e la poesia simbolica del cattolicesimo" (1866) e, soprattutto, "Sospesi, ignavi e irresoluti dell’inferno dantesco" (1888)
