    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    تعليم اللغة العربية بالمنهج المستقل في المدرسة المتوسطة الحكومية ٧ مالانج

    مستخلص البحث من المهم إجراء هذا البحث لأن التطورات الحالية تتسبب أيضًا في تطوير المنهج، لذلك يريد الباحث من خلال هذه المقالة شرح كيفية تطبيق المنهج المستقل، وأهداف هذا البحث هي 1) معرفة كيفية تطبيق المنهج المستقل في تعليم اللغة العربية في المدرسة المتوسطة 7 ضعيف. 2) لمعرفة المعوقات التي يشعر بها المعلمون في تطبيق منهج ميرديكا في تعليم اللغة العربية في المدرسة المتوسطة الحكومية 7 مالانج. استخدم الباحث في هذا البحث المنهج الوصفي النوعي المعتمد على دراسة الحالة التي تم فيها أخذ البيانات الموجودة من خلال المقابلات والملاحظة والتوثيق ومن ثم شرحها إلى نتيجة مفهومة. نتائج هذا البحث هي 1) أن تعلم اللغة العربية بمنهج مستقل يتم على عدة مراحل أولها التخطيط. ثم الثانية هي التنفيذ، حيث يوجد في هذا التنفيذ 3 مراحل يقوم بها المعلم، وهي أ) الأنشطة الأولية، ب) الأنشطة الأساسية، ج) الأنشطة الختامية. ثم الثالث هو التقييم. 2) في تنفيذ المنهج المستقل هناك 4 عوائق، وهي أ) المواد المختلفة ويطلب من المعلمين أن يكونوا مبدعين، ب) المرافق المحدودة، ج) تطبيق اللغات الجديدة الموجودة، د) المواد الأقل تفصيلاً. ثم إلى التغلب على هذه العقبات التي يفعلها المعلمون. 1) مواءمة المادة قبل الامتحان، 2) إشراك أولياء أمور الطلاب في توفير الكتب، 3) مشاركة المعلمين في التدريب لتسهيل التكيف، 4) تقديم المزيد من الشروحات للطلاب. ABSTRACT This research is important to do because the development of the times that exist also causes the curriculum to develop so that through this paper the researcher wants to explain how the implementation of an independent curriculum. The objectives of this study are 1) To find out how the implementation of the independent curriculum in Arabic language learning at the 7 Malang Middle School. 2) To find out what obstacles the teacher feels in the implementation of the independent curriculum in Arabic language learning at Madrasah Menengah 7 Malang. In this study, researchers used a descriptive qualitative method based on a case study in which existing data were taken through interviews, observation and documentation and then explained into an understandable conclusion. The results of this study are 1) Arabic language learning with the independent curriculum is carried out in several stages, the first is planning. Then the second is implementation, which in this implementation there are 3 stages carried out by a teacher, namely a) introductory activities, b) core activities and c) closing activities. Then the third is assessment. 2) in implementing the merdekan curriculum there are 4 obstacles, namely a) material that is already different and teachers are required to be creative, b) limited facilities, c) application of existing new language, d) material that is less detailed. then to overcome these obstacles the teacher does. 1) Aligning the material before the exam, 2) involving parents in procuring books, 3) teachers take part in training so that they are easy to adapt, 4) provide more explanation to students. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini penting untuk dilakukan karena perkembangan zaman yang ada juga menyebabkan kurikulum berkembang sehingga dengan begitu melalui tulisan ini peneliti ingin memaparkan bagaimana Implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni 1) Untuk Mengetahui Bagaimana implementasi kurikulum merdeka pada pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Madrasah Menengah 7 malang. 2) Untuk mengetahui Apa kendala yang dirasakan guru dalam Implementasi kurikulum Merdeka pada pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Madrasah Menengah 7 malang. Pada penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif berdasarkan studi kasus yang mana data yang ada diambil melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi kemudian dijelaskan menjadi suatu kesimpulan yang dapat dipahami. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 1) pembelajaran bahasa arab dengan kurikulum merdeka dilakukan dengan beberapa tahap yang pertama perencanaan. Lalu yang kedua pelaksanaan yang mana dalam pelaksanaan ini terdapat 3 tahapan yang dilakukan oleh seorang guru yaitu a) kegiatan pendahuluan, b) kegiatan Inti dan c) Kegiatan penutup.     INDONESIA: Penelitian ini penting untuk dilakukan karena Harun Nasution merupakan salah satu tokoh pembaharu dalam pemikiran rasional di Indonesia yang memiliki pandangan tentang kemajuan yang di dalamnya terdapat gagasan tentang kerukunan, dengan gagasan tersebut diharapkan tercapainya kedamainan dan ketentraman antar masyarakat. Sehingga dengan begitu perlu kiranya untuk menggali lebih dalam pemikirannya untuk mengetahui bagaimana gagasan Harun Nasution tentang kerukun, Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni 1) Bagaimana konsepsi Islam rasional Harun Nasution. 2) Bagaimana genealogi pemikiran Islam rasional Harun Nasution. 3) Bagaimana kontruksi pemikiran Islam rasional Harun Nasution mewujudkan kerukunan umat beragama di Indonesia. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian studi pustaka (library research) dengan pendekatan analisis content/ teks yaitu suatu teknik dalam mengambil kesimpulan dengan mengidentifikasi berbagai karakteristik khusus suatu pesan secara obyektif dan sistematis melalui karya-karya Harun Nasution. Dalam penelitian ini mengkaji tentang Bagaimana kontruksi pemikiran Islam rasional Harun Nasution mewujudkan kerukunan umat beragama di Indonesia dengan menganalisis tulisan yang terkait dengan pemikiran rasionalnya. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 1) Konsepsi Islam rasional Harun Nasution memiliki 2 ciri khas yaitu, pertama, bahwa terkait akal dan wahyu tidak ada pertentangan antara keduanya, kedua, dalam hal perbuatan manusia akal memberikan kemampuan untuk mempertimbangkan perbuatan baik-buruknya, memilih apa yang ia inginkan, dan mewujudkan apa yang ia inginkan. 2) genealogi pemikiran Islam rasional Harun Nasution yang pertama, berasal lingkungan keluarga, kedua, berasal dari pendidikan semasa di Moderne Islamietische Kweekschool (MIK) dan ketika belajar di Mesir dan dibarat tepatnya di McGill Kanada dari pemikiran rasional Islam, ketiga, berasal dari tokoh yaitu Muhammad Abduh. 3) konstruk pemikiran Harun Nasution dalam mewujudkan kerukunan umat beragama yang pertama, ajaran tentang memahami fungsi agama, kedua, budi pekerti dan prilaku yang baik, ketiga, kemanusiaan dan keadilan, keempat, toleransi antaragama, kelima, dialog antaragama, keenam, musyawarah agama, ketujuh, lembaga agama. ENGLISH: This research is important to do because Harun Nasution is one of the reformers in rational thinking in Indonesia who has a view of progress in which there is an idea of harmony, with this idea it is hoped that peace and tranquility will be achieved between communities. So that way it is necessary to dig deeper into his thoughts to find out how Harun Nasution's ideas about harmony, The objectives of this study are 1) How is Harun Nasution's conception of rational Islam. 2) How is the genealogy of Harun Nasution's rational Islamic thought. 3) How the construction of Harun Nasution's rational Islamic thought realizes religious harmony in Indonesia. This research is classified as descriptive qualitative research with a library research approach and a content/text analysis approach, which is a technique for drawing conclusions by objectively and systematically identifying the specific characteristics of a message through the works of Harun Nasution. This study examines how Harun Nasution's rational Islamic thought contributes to religious harmony in Indonesia by analyzing writings related to his rational thinking. The results of this study are 1) Harun Nasution's conception of rational Islam has 2 distinctive features, namely, first, that related to reason and revelation there is no conflict between the two, second, in terms of human actions reason gives the ability to consider good and bad actions, choose what they want, and realize what they want. 2) The genealogy of Harun Nasution's rational Islamic thought, first, comes from the family environment, second, comes from education while at the Moderne Islamietische Kweekschool (MIK) and when studying in Egypt and in the west precisely at McGill Canada from Islamic rational thought, third, comes from the figure namely Muhammad Abduh. 3) The construct of Harun Nasution's thought in realizing religious harmony the first, teachings about understanding the function of religion, second, good manners and behavior, third, humanity and justice, fourth, interreligious tolerance, fifth, interreligious dialogue, sixth, religious deliberation, seventh, religious institutions. ARABIC: إن إجراء هذا البحث مهم لأن هارون ناسوتيون هو أحد الشخصيات الإصلاحية في الفكر العقلاني في إندونيسيا والذي لديه وجهة نظر للتقدم تتضمن فكرة الانسجام، ومن خلال هذه الفكرة يأمل أن يتحقق السلام والهدوء بين المجتمعات. ومن ثم فمن الضروري التعمق أكثر في أفكاره لمعرفة أفكار هارون ناسوتيون حول الانسجام. أهداف هذه الدراسة هي: 1) ما هو مفهوم هارون ناسوتيون للإسلام العقلاني. 2) ما هو أصل الفكر الإسلامي العقلاني عند هارون ناسوتيون؟ 3) كيف يحقق البناء الفكري الإسلامي العقلاني لهارون ناسوتيون الانسجام الديني في إندونيسيا؟ في هذه الدراسة استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي النوعي مع أسلوب دراسة الأدبيات حيث تم أخذ البيانات الموجودة من كتب هارون ناسوتيون والكتب والمجلات المتعلقة بالموضوع الذي تمت مناقشته ثم شرحها في استنتاج يمكن فهمه. نتائج هذه الدراسة هي: 1) إن التصور الإسلامي العقلاني عند هارون ناسوتيون يتميز بخاصيتين، الأولى أنه لا يوجد تعارض بين العقل والوحي، والثانية أن العقل في أفعال الإنسان يوفر له القدرة على التفكير في الأفعال الجيدة والسيئة واختيار ما يريد وتحقيق ما يريد. 2) إن أصل الفكر الإسلامي العقلاني عند هارون ناسوتيون يأتي أولاً من بيئته العائلية، وثانياً من تعليمه في المدرسة الإسلامية الحديثة (MIK) وعندما درس في مصر وفي الغرب، وبالتحديد في جامعة ماكجيل كندا، من الفكر الإسلامي العقلاني، وثالثاً من شخصية محمد عبده. 3) بناء فكر هارون ناسوتيون في تحقيق الانسجام بين الأديان الأول، التعاليم حول فهم وظيفة الدين، ثانياً، الأخلاق والسلوك الجيد، ثالثاً، الإنسانية والعدالة، رابعاً، التسامح بين الأديان، خامساً، الحوار بين الأديان، سادساً، التشاور الديني، سابعاً، المؤسسات الدينية

    The study of qiro'ah Mubadala and the development of the discourse on feminism is important to discuss because this theme is a topic that is quite often discussed by the public with various problems that arise due to a lack of understanding of feminism, so here the researcher tries to explain how the concept of qiro'ah Mubadala and the discourse of feminism from the perspective of Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir as one of the figures who wrote a lot about gender. The purpose of this research is so that readers can find out how the concept of qiro'ah mubadalah and the development of feminist discourse from Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir's perspective. The method used in this research is based entirely on a literature review or what is commonly referred to as a literature study.     Variations on the Author

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
