Kitab ini merupakan salah satu bentuk indeks hadits. Sebagai suatu indeks, kitab ini berisi petunjuk mengenai cara menemukan suatu hadits di dalam kitab-kitab hadits terkenal. Tradisi Islam, Tradisi Arab dan Tradisi Jawa: Membaca Karya dan Pemikiran K.H. Ahmad ar-Rifai Kalisalak
This article reviews the book of philological research on one of the works of a Javanese ulama, namely K.H. Ahmad ar-Rifai Kalisalak. The work is entitled nazam Tarekat. Aside from being a philological research, which aims to present the text edition of the manuscript of ar-Rifai, this book also examines the context surrounding the author's life and the social function of the text. This book is an example for the research that combines the study of philology and Islamic studies in a research project. This book emphasizes the rich intellectual traditions of the author, Ahmad ar-Rifai, which includes Islamic traditions, Arabic poetry and Javanese poetry. These three traditions, in Gadamer hermeneutic terms, merge to produce a work of the nazam Tarekat. The work of this book can also be an important proof of the contextualization strategy of Islamic preacing in Muslim Nusantara society.Keywords: philology, Indonesian Islamic intellectual tradition, hermeneutic, Ahmad ar-Rifai Artikel ini mengulas buku yang berupa hasil penelitian filologis tentang salah satu karya dari seorang ulama Jawa, yakni K.H. Ahmad ar-Rifai Kalisalak. Karya tersebut berjudul nazam Tarekat. Selain sebagai sebuah penelitian filologis, yang tujuannya menyajikan edisi teks dari naskah karya ar-Rifai, buku ini juga mengulas konteks yang melingkupi kehidupan sang pengarang dan fungsi sosial dari teks yang dikaji. Buku ini menjadi contoh untuk hasil penelitian yang memadukan kajian filologis dan kajian Islam dalam satu proyek penelitian. Buku ini menegaskan tentang kekayaan tradisi intelektual yang dimiliki sang pengarang, Ahmad ar-Rifai, yang meliputi tradisi Islam, tradisi puisi Arab dan puisi Jawa. Ketiga tradisi tersebut, dalam istilah hermeneutik Gadamer, melebur sehingga menghasilkan sebuah karya nazam Tarekat. Doktora TeziBu çalışma VI/XII. yüzyılda yaşamış olan Ahmed er-Rifâî'nin hayatı, eserleri, tasavvufî görüşleri ve ona nisbet edilen Rifâiyye Tarikatı konularının incelenmesi ve bölümlerinin hazırlanmasından oluşmaktadır. Ahmed er-Rifâî ahvâl, makamlar, kerâmetler ve irfan sahibi; düzgün itikadı olan âlim, fakih, zâhid, sâlih, aynı zamanda şair ve edip biri idi. Onun çok büyük maddî imkânlara sahip olmasına rağmen sade ve fakir olarak yaşaması, mal biriktirmemesi, rivâkın gelirlerinin tamamını yoksullara harcaması, fakir olarak ölmesi, çocuklarına maddî zenginlik bırakmaması ve çocuklarının da fakir olması; tüm bunlar onun dünyaya değer vermeyen ihlâslı bir sûfî oluşunun kanıtlarındandır. Ahmed er-Rifâî'ye nisbet edilen Rifâiyye, İslâm dünyasında VI/XII. yüzyılda teşekkül eden tarikatlar arasında kuruluşunu tamamlayıp teşkilâtlanan ilk tarikatlardan biridir. Günümüzde Rufâiyye ismi ile de bilinmektedir. Eserlerindeki sözlerinden, öğretilerinden ve hayatında göstermiş olduğu tavırlarından dolayı onun tarikatının Kitap ve Sünnet kaynaklı olduğu ayrıca tevâzuu esas aldığı anlaşılmaktadır. Ahmed er-Rifâî'nin fikirleri, şahsiyeti, gerçekleştirdiği sohbetlerinin tesiri ve halîfelerinin/mürîdlerinin yoğun gayretleri sayesinde Rifâiyye, önceleri Irak'ın güneyindeki Batâih bölgesi başta olmak üzere zaman içinde neredeyse dünyanın büyük bir bölümüne yayılmıştır. Osmanlı zamanında da varlığını hissettirmiş olan Tarikat günümüzde ise Mısır, Suriye, Yemen, Irak, Türkiye ve Balkan ülkelerinde varlığını sürdürmektedir. Ortaya çıktığı günden itibaren gerek ilmiye sınıfının gerekse Müslüman coğrafyanın hüsnükabulüne mazhar olan Rifâiyye Tarikatı, yetiştirdiği sûfîler ile kurduğu âsitâne ve tekkeleri sayesinde Anadolu'da canlı kalmayı başarmıştır.This study consists of reviewing Ahmad al-Rifai who lived in the VI/XII. century; the subjects of his life, works, sufistic views and Rifaiyya Order attributed to him, and the preparation of the chapters. Ahmad al-Rifai was a scholar, canonist, prayerful, fit, also a poet and literate who had spiritual affairs, ranks, thaumaturgus, wisdom and proper belief. Although he had great financial opportunity, he lived simply and poorly; did not accumulate goods; spent all of the lodge's income on the poor; died as a poor; did not leave any inheritance of material wealth to his children, and his children were also poor; all those are proof that he was a sincere Sufi who didn't value the world. Rifaiyya, attributed to Ahmad al-Rifai, was one of the first orders in the Islamic world that was established and completed among the orders formed in the VI/XII. century. Today it is also known by the name Rufaiyya. Because of his words in his works, his teachings, and his attitudes in his life, it is understood that his order has been based on the Book and the Sunnah, and that it was based on humility. Thanks to Ahmad al-Rifai's ideas, personality, influence of his talks and the intense efforts of his caliphs/disciples, Rifaiyya has spread at first in the Bataih region in the south of Iraq, then to almost a large part of the world in due time. The Order, which has made its presence felt in Ottoman times, continues its presence in Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Turkey, and the Balkan countries at the present time. The Rifaiyya Order, which has been indispensable to both the scholar class and the Muslim geography since its inception, has managed to stay alive in Anatolia thanks to the Sufis that it has cultivated and its faculties and dervish lodges that it has established
Fatwa KH. Ahmad Rifai Kalisalak tentang Opium dan Rokok di Jawa (Fatwa of KH. Ahmad Rifai Kalisalak on Opium and Smoking in the 19th Century Java)
The article explores the admonition and advice (read: legal opinion) of Ahmad Rifai on opium and smoking in a manuscript entitled Bahs al-‘Iftâ’ (Discussion of Fatwa). The discussion will be limited to this fatwa for several reasons. First, the fatwa is the most interesting issue compared to the other themes and topics found in the manuscript. Most of themes and topics pertain merely to the ritual issues and to advice about the ways things should be done, for example, how to conduct a pilgrimage, prayer, and fasting, on the one hand, and to the tasawuf issues, such as taubat, tawakkal, mujâhadah, and riyâ’, on the other hand. Second, the fatwa is more comprehensive, even though short, thus enabling a deeper investigation of the selected fatwa. The article will use the philology, history, and legal methods. First, it will provide the transliteration from Pegon (Javanese in Arabic character) into Latin character and translation from Javanese into Indonesian as a philological work. Then, the author will analyze the writing using a historical approach to place the text in its contexts, and to provide a historical background for the fatwa. Eventually, the author will discuss the fatwa from a legal perspective. The paper seeks to answer the questions: What is the legal opinion of Ahmad Rifai on opium and smoking? What circumstances drove him to issue such legal opinion? What are the distinctions of his fatwa that differ from other ulama? Which and what methods did Rifai use in issuing the above mentioned fatwa? The main contribution of this article is first to provide the original text of KH. Ahmad Rifai Kalisalak on smoking and opium. Second, the article reveals that he was the only ulama concerned with the issue of smoking and opium in the 19th Century Java

Literary works of classical (religious) books are works of literature covering many disciplines, such as theology, fiqh (jurisprudence), hadis, and mysticism (tasawuf). Mysticism takes an important part since there are many of its experts or Sufi who are able to deliver Islamic teaching in accordance to the different levels of understanding of the society. Many of their works were written in Arabic alphabetical system, but the languages are Javanese, Sundanese, and Malay. The presence of Syekh Ahmad Rifai has influenced the works of classical literature. One of his works is Riayah al-Himmah, which is written in Javanese language with Arabic alphabetical system and in the form of nazam. In the middle of reform of Islamic world, Syekh Ahmad Rifai gave a good contribution in the reform of tasawuf. His spirit to harmonize the teaching of tasawuf in order not in contrast with Islamic law (syariat) is obvious. He taught zuhud, ikhlas, sabar, tawakal, ridlo as good attitude of Sufi/Salik to have spiritful, progressive, and optimistic life, not a fatalistic and pessimistic one.

Tasawuf menjadi bagian penting karena banyak para ahli tasawuf atau sufi yang mampu menyampaikan ajaran-ajaran Islam yang disesuaikan dengan tingkat pemahaman masyarakat. Karya-karya yang mereka tulis banyak yang berhuruf arab sedangkan bahasanya adalah bahasa jawa, sunda dan melayu. Kehadiran Syekh Ahmad Rifai telah mewarnai hazanah karya sastra kitab di Jawa. ANALISIS PESAN DAKWAH AHMAD RIFAI RIFAN DALAM BUKU KETIKA TUHAN TAK LAGI DIBUTUHKAN
Ahmad Rifai Rifan adalah penulis yang telah berhasil menerbitkan banyak buku best seller yang digunakan sebagai media berdakwah atau disebut dengan dakwah bil qalam. Salah satu bukunya yang digunakan sebagai media dakwah bil qalam adalah buku yang berjudul Ketika Tuhan Tak Lagi Dibutuhkan. Dalam buku ini terdapat pesan-pesan dakwah yang juga berkaitan dengan ayat Al-Qur’an yang disampaikan oleh penulis dengan menggunakan teknik penyampaian pesan untuk masyarakat sebagai mad’u. Untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut apa saja pesan-pesan dakwah yang terdapat dalam buku ini peneliti menggunakan bentuk penelitian pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode observasi dan dokumentasi terhadap buku ini. Teknik analisis buku dengan menggunakan analisis model Teun A. Van Dijk dan juga teori interteks untuk menemukan hypogram antara pesan dakwah dan ayat Al-Qur’an. Berdasarkan analisis dalam penelitian ini terdapat hasil penelitian bahwa Ahmad Rifai Rifan menyampaikan pesan dakwah Aqidah, Syariah, dan Akhlak dalam buku ini. Kemudian ia menyampaikan pesan dakwah dengan menggunakan teknik ganjaran dan tata’an. Pesatnya perkembangan zaman membawa dampak positif dan negatif
bagi kehidupan. Degradasi moral dan spiritual menjadi salah satu dampak
negatif yang muncul seperti manusia yang hidup tanpa tujuan yang jelas.
Sehingga menyebabkan tingginya kriminalitas baik penyalahgunaan narkoba,
kenakalan remaja dan sebagainya. Persoalan tersebut membuat dunia
pendidikan menjadi penyebab sekaligus yang bertanggungjawab untuk
menyelesaikannya. Sementara itu secara konseptual persoalan tersebut erat
kaitannya dengan persoalan kepribadian atau dalam Islam disebut akhlak.
Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengulas tasawuf K.H.
Ahmad Rifai dan relevansinya terhadap Pendidikan Islam saat ini.
Dilihat dari jenisnya, penelitian ini merupakan Library Research,
karena itu sumber datanya berupa bahan pustaka seperti buku, jurnal dan
artikel ilmiah. Sesuai dengan jenisnya maka pengumpulan data dalam
penelitian ini menggunakan metode riset kepustakaan yang pelaksanaannya
meliputi analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptis analitis dengan
pendekatan historis filosofis.
Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa : (1) Dalam pandangan tasawuf
K.H. Ahmad Rifai, beliau ingin menyelaraskan hubungan antara syari’ah,
tarekat dan hakikat. Karena ketiga aspek tersebut saling berhubungan erat dan
tidak bisa dipisahkan. Beliau menganalogikan keselarasan ketiga aspek
tersebut seperti orang bertani. Pengamalan syari’ah semisal saat petani
menerapkan ilmu bercocok tanam. Kemudian pengamalan hakikat misalnya,
perjuangan petani dalam membangun semangat dan memotivasi diri untuk
terus menerapkan ilmu pertanian. Sedangkan pengamalan hakikat tercermin
pada harapan petani agar usaha pertaniaannya bisa sukses. Gagasan tasawuf
beliau bercorak tasawuf amali yang banyak mengajarkan akhlak dirumuskan
dalam akhlakul karimah dan akhlakul madzmumah. Kemudian pada prosesnya
tujuan akhir tasawufnya agar seseorang sampai pada tingkatan khauf,
mahabbah dan makrifat. Dan (2) K.H. Ahmad Rifai menjelaskan bahwa
tasawuf yang mengajarkan akhlakul karimah dan akhlakul madzmumah
memiliki relevansi dengan Pendidikan Islam. Karena dalam konsep Pendidikan
Islam akhlak menjadi perilaku yang harus ditanamkan dalam diri manusia.
Disinilah peran pendidikan untuk melatih akhlak agar seseorang bisa mencapai
sifat dan perilaku yang baik
