Exhaust gas valve is a component of a diesel engine which serves as the exhaust gas discharge of combustion in the cylinder and ensure that the former of combustion gases out of the cylinder in total. This valve is moved using a mechanical drive. Condition of the exhaust gas valve is very influential on the diesel generator, because the exhaust gas valve directly connected to the combustion chamber in diesel engine generator. Writer take a method of qualitative using analisys techniques Urgency Seriousness Growth (USG). USG is one of the priorities in order to prepare issues must be completed. The trick is to determine much address the crisis, seriousness and development issue with determine a scale of 1-5 or 1-10. Issues that has a total the highest scores priority is issues. From the discussion and research conducted, there are some important issues to be discussed, that is: factors that cause damage to the exhaust gas valve, the influence of the exhaust gas valve damage to the diesel generator and an attempt to overcome damage to the exhaust gas valve. The conclusion that can take is the author of the exhaust gas valve damage can be caused by several factors, that is: setting improper valve gap, lack of cooling on the valve, the use of heavy fuel and material fatigue. Suggestions authors regarding the above issue is expected to the machinist to improve the treatment of exhaust gas valve, with good attention to the factors that cause damage to the exhaust gas valve and improving the care of the systems associated with exhaust gas valve.     PROSES MUNCUL DAN BERKEMBANGNYA WISATA KARST TUBING DI ARGOMULYO, SEDAYU, BANTUL

    Ade Rizki Mahardika, Proses Muncul dan Berkembangnya Wisata Karst Tubing di Argomulyo, Sedayu, Bantul, Skripsi, Yogyakarta: Program Studi Pengembangan Masyarakat Islam Fakultas Dakwah dan Komunikasi UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Dusun Surobayan yang terletak di Desa Argomulyo, Kecamatan Sedayu, Kabupaten Bantul merupakan salah satu yang sudah dikembangkan potensi alamnya untuk wisata susur sungai. Objek wisata dengan nama Karst Tubing sudah beroprasi sejak tahun 2015. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan proses muncul dan berkembangnya Karst Tubing serta dampak dari pemberdayaan yang telah dilakukan pengelola wisata. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik penarikan informan dengan menggunakan purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria. Selain itu, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Semua data dilihat validitas datanya menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan data, serta dianalisis melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa proses muncul dan berkembanganya wisata Karst Tubing melalui beberapa tahap, yakni tahap penemuan, tahap pelibatan, dan tahap pengembangan. Sedangkan pembangunan wisata ini memunculkan tiga dampak yaitu dampak ekonomi, dampak sosial, dan dampak lingkungan. Dampak ekonominya yakni terbukanya lapangan usaha baru, meningkatnya pendapatan kelompok serta meningkatnya akses pasar yang lebih besar. Dampak sosialnya yakni muncul keterampilan baru serta memunculkan rasa bangga. Dampak lingkungannya yaitu muncul kesadaran masyarakat untuk menjaga lingkungan Sungai Konteng

Kebocoran pada pipa hydraulic bagian tekan sangat berpengaruh terhadap kinerja mesin windlass. Perlunya pemeliharaan, perbaikan dan perawatan terhadap o-ring, filter tanki hydraulic pipa-pipa serta mesin windlass merupakan pekerjaan yang dilakukan oleh para engineer supaya mesin windlass dapat bekerja secara optimal dan maksimal. O-ring pada pipa flange adalah bagian komponen penting pada mesin windlass, kerusakan pada o-ring menjadi salah satu masalah pada mesin windlass karena dapat mempengaruhi kinerja pada mesin windlass. Tujuan di balik penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan apakah tekanan berlebih menyebabkan rusaknya o-ring pada pipa hydraulic, serta apakah pemasangan flange yang tidak tepat menyebabkan rusaknya o-ring dan apakah perawatan yang tidak sesuai dengan manual book menyebabkan rusaknya o-ring pada pipa hydraulic bagian tekan di MV. Tanto sejahtera serta dampak dan upaya untuk menanggulangi kerusakan tersebut. Dalam penelitian kali ini peneliti menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan metode SHEL yaitu software, hardware, environment, dan liverware dengan identifikasi berbagai faktor secara sistematis yang bertujuan untuk mengungkap fakta, keadaan, fenomena, variable dan keadaan yang terjadi saat penelitian berjalan dan memberikan data apa adanya sehingga dalam penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil penelitian yang sebenarnya terjadi di MV. Tanto Sejahtera. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah apakah penyebab kebocoran pada pipa hydraulic bagian tekan sangat berpengaruh terhadap kinerja mesin windlass untuk mengetahui apa yang menyebabkan kebocoran pada pipa hydraulic serta Perlunya pemeliharaan, perbaikan dan perawatan terhadap o-ring, filter tanki hydraulic pipa�pipa dengan demikian mesin windlass merupakan pekerjaan yang dilakukan oleh para engineer agar mesin windlass dapat bekerja secara optimal dan maksimal. Lalu dampak jika ada kerusakan dan bagaimana upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi kebocoran tersebut sehingga mempengaruhi kinerja dari mesin windlass. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penyebab kebocoran pada pipa hydraulic bagian tekan disebabkan dengan penerapan PMS (Plant Maintenance System) yang tidak sesuai dengan manual book, kerusakan pada o-ring, pipa hydraulic berkarat terkena air laut dan kurangnya kualitas crew yang ada di atas kapal. Sehingga dampaknya yaitu kerusakan terhadap mesin windlass atau berkurangnya kerja pada saat penarikan rantai jangkar, masinis canggung dalam melaksanakan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya. Atas dari itu maka upaya yang dilakukan adalah melaksanakan PMS sesuai dengan manual book, melakukan painting pada pipa, pembersihan filter, pergantian crew mesin. sehingga mesin windlass dapat bekerja secara optimal dan maksimal serta tidak mengganggu pelaksanaan pelayaran dan kerugian pada perusahaan

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
