The performance of Adara as a cherry rootstock

The definitive version is available at: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/03044238The field performance of Adara (Prunus cerasifera L.), SL 64 (Prunus mahaleb) and Colt (Prunus avium X Prunus pseudocerasus) rootstocks grafted with two sweet cherry cultivars (Prunus avium L. cvs. ‘Van’ and ‘Tardif de Vignola’), were tested for 12 years on a calcareous clay-loam soil which was flood irrigated. No tree grafted on Adara died during the experiment. The percentage of dead trees of ‘Tardif de Vignola’ on SL 64 and Colt reached 63% and 19%, respectively. The percentage of dead trees of ‘Van’ was 19% when grafted on SL 64 and 6% on Colt. For ‘Van’ scion, Adara was the most invigorating rootstock and showed the greatest yield efficiency and cumulative production after 12 years. For ‘Tardif de Vignola’ scion, Adara also gave greater cumulative production, mean fruit weight, and vigour than SL 64 and Colt. Leaf mineral analysis of ‘Van’ trees showed a mineral element concentration closer to the optimum for the trees grafted on Adara than for those grafted on SL 64 and Colt. According to our results, Adara seems to be a suitable rootstock for cherry cultivars to avoid root asphyxia in heavy soils and/or under flood irrigation conditions, where other rootstocks fail to survive. The plum rootstock ‘Adara’: its behaviour with cherry and other fruit species

aunque aún no se conoce exactamente su identidad botánica. Es un clon vigoroso
que confiere gran desarrollo a las variedades.
Parece interesante como patrón para el cultivo de numerosas variedades de cerezo en regadío, otras variedades, pocas hasta ahora, muestran incompatibilidad localizada. No obstante, debe tenerse cuidado con algunas de las que han tenido buen comportamiento en vivero, por haber sido observadas durante pocos años y/o número pequeño de árboles.
Las variedades de melocotonero y nectarina injertadas sobre ‘Adara’ tienen comportamiento muy distinto, si bien, un buen número de ellas no presentan síntomas de incompatibilidad trasloeada. Partiendo de combinaciones compatibles y comprobadas, ‘Adara’ puede interesar para el cultivo de melocotoneros y nectarinas en regadío en suelos con cierta tendencia al mantenimiento de la humedad.
La incompatibilidad de ‘Adara’ con la variedad de albaricoquero ‘Moniquí’
parece menos acusada que sobre ‘Mirobolán B’, aunque no se puede considerar tenga
buena compatibilidad.
El ciruelo ‘Adara’ es incompatible con la variedad de almendro ‘Desmayo’ y
se comporta bien en vivero con ‘Marcona’. Su utilización como patrón de esta
especie deberá ser, por tanto, pieviamente comprobada con las distintas variedades.
‘Adara’ presenta incompatibilidad localizada con la variedad de ciruelo ‘Martín’.[EN] ‘Adara’ is an envigorating rootstock that belongs to the group of fast growing
plums. However, its botanical identity has not been definetely established.
‘Adara’ appears to be a promising rootstock for many cherry cultivars when
grown under irrigation, although some cultivars show localized incompatibility. However further studies are needed lo ascertain the perfomance of certain cultvars
as data avalaible results from few years of observations
Peach and nectarine cultivars grafted on this stock have shown variability in
their behaviour, some being compatible ‘Adara’ is a promising rootstock for these compatible cultivars when grown in heavy soils under irrigation.
‘Moniqui’ apricot shows incompatibiity when grafted on ‘Adara’, this being
less acute than when rafted on ‘Mirobolan B’.
‘Adara’ grafted with ‘Marcona’ almond has shown to behave well in nursery trials
but ‘Desmayo’ shows incompatibility. Further work to test this stock for almond
growing must be canied—out.
Localized incompatibility has benn observed in ‘Martin’ plum when grafted on

Research, operates in the 500–1250 Å wave-band at 1 to 3 Å
resolution. Here we report on the EUV and FUV observations of
the B2 II star Adara, the brightest EUV source in the sky,
obtained by UVSTAR during the STS 69 and STS 95 missions. The
discussion concerns 1) wavelength and flux calibration, 2) short
term time variability of selected spectral features, 3) comparison
with previous measurements in the EUV band and 4) comparison with
model atmospheres

About the Lecturer: Deborah Lester is the incoming CEO of Adara Development.
Deborah is a clinician with 25 years of experience in the field of Maternal and Child Health, specializing in Global and Public Health. In particular, Deborah’s expertise lies in maternal and child health in an international development context, focusing on diverse and underserved populations in resource-limited settings.
Deborah spent the first twelve years of her career building maternal and child health programs in Bermuda, working in both the tertiary and public health setting. In 1998, Deborah moved to Seattle to pursue a graduate degree at the University of Washington and joined Adara Development to form their clinical programs. For the next ten years, Deborah worked at Seattle Children’s Hospital in the care of critically ill infants and was hired on the leadership and management team as the Clinical Educator of the Neonatal ICU. In 2008, Deborah joined Adara Development full-time to grow their clinical programs and has been managing that work ever since
Strategi Branding Guna Meningkatkan Kesadaran Kesehatan Mental: Pendekatan Inovatif Pada Industri Perawatan Kulit (Skincare) Pada Merek Adara Cosmetics.
Full text linkPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana Adara Cosmetics dapat mengintegrasikan kesadaran kesehatan mental ke dalam strategi branding mereka untuk meningkatkan ekuitas merek. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan campuran, yang mencakup survei (kuantitatif) dan wawancara (kualitatif). Survei dilakukan terhadap 191 responden pengguna produk Adara Cosmetics untuk mengukur hubungan antara kesadaran kesehatan mental dan elemen-elemen ekuitas merek. Selain itu, wawancara mendalam dilakukan dengan manajemen Adara Cosmetics untuk mendapatkan wawasan tentang strategi branding yang diterapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kesadaran kesehatan mental dan semua elemen ekuitas yaitu kesadaran merek, asosiasi merek, persepsi kualitas, dan loyalitas merek. Kesadaran kesehatan mental berkorelasi sebesar 52,8% dan berkontribusi pada peningkatan pengenalan merek dan asosiasi positif, serta meningkatkan persepsi kualitas produk. Konsumen yang merasa bahwa Adara Cosmetics peduli terhadap kesehatan mental mereka cenderung lebih loyal terhadap merek tersebut. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi isu kesehatan mental dalam strategi branding bukan hanya memberikan dampak positif bagi ekuitas merek, tetapi juga memperkuat hubungan emosional antara konsumen dan merek. Oleh karena itu, Adara Cosmetics disarankan untuk terus mengembangkan kampanye yang berfokus pada kesehatan mental dan memperkuat kolaborasi dengan profesional kesehatan mental untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan edukasi masyarakat.
