Students today are familiar with Tiktok because of its easy and flexible access. By using Tiktok students can create their writings so that they are more interesting to read and can be seen by many people. This is a quasi-experimental research. The experimental group was taught using Tiktok and the control group was taught without using Tiktok. The author used a pre-test to find out that both groups had relatively the same background knowledge in the research variables and a post-test to find an increase in scores as a measure of achievement. The author uses tests to calculate and hypothesize.   Keywords : Writing, Recount Text, Tiktok     Penerbit ABSTRAK IKIP Budi Utomo Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kelas yang diajarkan menggunakan Tiktok memiliki hasil yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas yang diajar tanpa menggunakan Tiktok. Siswa pada era sekarang banyak mengenal Tiktok karena aksesnya yang mudah dan fleksibel. Dengan menggunakan Tiktok siswa dapat mengreasikan hasil tulisannya agar lebih menarik untuk dibaca dan dapat dilihat banyak orang. Ini adalah penilitian quasi eksperimen. Kelompok eksperimen diajar dengan menggunakan Tiktok dan kelompok kontrol diajar tanpa menggunakan Tiktok. Penulis menggunakan pre-test untuk mengetahui bahwa kedua kelompok mempunyai latar belakang pengetahuan yang relatif sama dalam variable penelitian dan post-test untuk menemukan peningkatan nilai sebagai ukuran prestasi.     This research was conducted to determine the role of empathy toward teacher's self-control in teaching at public elementary school. This research uses quantitative method. Adaptation from QCAE instruments (Cognitive and Affective Empathy Questionnaire) and self-control instruments were constructed based on Averill's theory is occupied as Empathy instruments. The sample of this research is 72 respondents, public elementary school teacher. The method used in this research is regression analysis. The result is positive influence. This shows the higher level of empathy teachers will have impact on the higher self- control. Presentation the influence result is 9,7% and rest influenced by other factors

    ANALISIS KESULITAN BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA SMP DALAM PEMBELAJARAN DARING PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

    AbstractOne of the many sectors affected by the Covid-19 pandemic is education. This resulted in a change in the learning system from face-to-face in class to online learning from home. Since online learning took place, students have experienced many difficulties in implementing it, especially in mathematics. Therefore, this research was conducted by the author to know the difficulties students encounter during online learning during a pandemic like this. The method applied in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. Observations involved SMP / MTs students with data collection techniques through questionnaires distributed online via WhatsApp and research subjects were 30 respondents. From the data that has been received, the results obtained are that most students like the Google Classroom application as an online-based learning medium, obstacles that are often experienced by students include limited quota, unsupportive signals, many tasks, and not understanding the material presented by the teacher. In addition, mathematics is considered difficult due to several factors: (1) using a lot of formulas, (2) not understanding the concept of the material, and (3) the limited space for interaction between students and teachers.Keywords: difficulty learning mathematics; online learning; the covid-19 pandemic AbstrakSatu di antara banyak sektor yang terdampak pandemi covid-19 ialah pendidikan. Ini mengakibatkan perubahan sistem pembelajaran yang mulanya tatap muka secara langsung di kelas menjadi pembelajaran daring dari rumah. Sejak pembelajaran daring berlangsung, banyak kesulitan dialami siswa dalam pelaksanaannya, terkhusus pelajaran matematika. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini dilakukan penulis dengan maksud untuk mengetahui kesulitan-kesulitan yang didapati siswa saat pembelajaran daring di masa pandemi seperti ini. Metode yang diterapkan dalam penelitian adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Observasi melibatkan siswa SMP/MTs dengan teknik pengumpulan datanya melalui angket yang disebarkan secara online via WhatsApp dan subjek penelitian sebanyak 30 responden. Dari data yang telah diterima, diperoleh hasil bahwasanya kebanyakan siswa menyukai aplikasi Google Classroom sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis daring, hambatan yang sering dialami peserta didik di antaranya kuota terbatas, sinyal tidak mendukung, banyak tugas, serta tidak paham materi yang disampaikan guru. Selain itu, matematika dianggap sulit karena beberapa faktor: (1) banyak menggunakan rumus, (2) tidak paham konsep materi, dan (3) ruang interaksi antara siswa dengan guru yang terbatas.Kata Kunci: kesulitan belajar matematika; pandemi covid-19; pembelajaran daring  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/mtk/v9i3.pp307-31

    THE EFFECT OF USING PICTURE MEDIA IN TEACHING WRITING OF DESCRIPTIVE TEXT

    This experimental research was held at SMK Darussalam Blokagung. The author conducted research in two classes. The first class X KS 1 as a control class and the second class X AK 1 as an experimental class. The experimental class was taught to write descriptive text using image media, while the control class was taught to write descriptive text using the lecture method / worksheets. In analyzing the data, researchers used quantitative measurements to find the results. Where the research data collection techniques using tests. And the data analysis technique used the t-test hypothesis test. The results of the research that have been done are the value of the t count hypothesis test of 1,98 and the value of the t table of 1,67 it means, the value of t count is greater than t table. Thus, it shows the significance between picture media (X) on descriptive text writing (Y). Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that there is an effect of picture media on teaching writing descriptive text at X AK 1 SMK Darussalam Blokagung and it is suggested that using picture media can be used by teachers to improve students' ability in writing descriptive text. This can be applied in the teaching and learning process of English as a medium in teaching and learning activities

    ABSTRAK Pengambilan keputusan sepenuhnya diambil penuh oleh kepala madrasah karena kepala yayasan bustalul ulum telah memberikan kepercayaan sepenuhnya terhadap kepala madrasah MTs Bustalul Ulum, namun kepala madrasah setiap melakukan pengambilan keputusan selalu berkoordinasi dengan kepala yayasan terlebih dahulu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat pengaruh Pengambilan Keputusan Kepala Madrasah Terhadap Komiten Kerja Guru di MTs Bustanul Ulum Lampung Tengah dan untuk menganalisis bagaimana proses pengambilan keputusan kepala madrasah di MTs Bustanul Ulum Lampung Tengah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dimana jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 61 guru dan sampel berjumlah 40 orang guru di MTs Bustanul Ulum Lampung Tengah yang menggunakan rumus slovin serta untuk uji coba pada penelitian ini 20 orang guru. Data dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan angket. Angket dibagi menjadi 2 yaitu angket untuk mengungkap tentang pengambilan keputusan kepala madrasah dan angket untuk mengungkap tentang komitmen kerja guru. Penulis menggunakan bantuan program SPSS versi 26. Kemudian untuk mengetahui hasil uji prasyarat analisis yaitu menggunakan uji stastistik deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji linieritas. Sedangkan Teknik analisis yang digunakan untuk uji hipotesis adalah teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana, uji korelasi analisis dan uji determinasi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pengambilan keputusan terhadap komitmen kerja guru Di MTs Bustanul Ulum. Hal tersebut dapat ditunjukan dari besarnya pengaruh antara dua variabel diatas dapat dilihat dari besarnya nilai r hitung=0,343 lebih besar dari r tabel = 0,173 dengan nilai R square sebesar 0,859 atau 0.859 x 100 = 85.9% yang memiliki pengertian bahwa pengaruh variabel bebas (X) terhadap variabel terikat (Y) adalah sebesar 85.9% dan selebihnya 14.1% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak peneliti teliti. This study aims to analyse the level of influence of Madrasah Principal Decision Making on Teacher Work Commitment at MTs Bustanul Ulum Central Lampung and to analyse how the madrasah principal's decision-making process at MTs Bustanul Ulum Central Lampung. This research is a quantitative study where the population in this study were 61 teachers and a sample of 40 teachers at MTs Bustanul Ulum Lampung Tengah using the slovin formula and for the trial in this study 20 teachers. The data in this study were taken using a questionnaire. The questionnaire is divided into 2, namely a questionnaire to reveal about the decision making of the madrasah head and a questionnaire to reveal about the teacher's work commitment. The author uses the help of the SPSS version 26 programme. Then to find out the results of the prerequisite analysis test, namely using descriptive statistical tests, normality tests, linearity tests. While the analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is simple linear regression analysis technique, correlation analysis test and determination test. The results showed that there is a significant influence between decision making on teacher work commitment at MTs Bustanul Ulum. This can be shown from the magnitude of the influence between the two variables above can be seen from the magnitude of the value of r count = 0.343 greater than r table = 0.173 with a value of R square of 0.859 or 0.859 x 100 = 85.9% which means that the influence of the independent variable (X) on the dependent variable (Y) is 85.9% and the remaining 14.1% is influenced by other factors that are not researched by researchers.
