Full text linkIn 2021, the University of Flores Community Service Program is carried out in the New Normal period, with students carrying out the Community Service Program independently in their respective villages. The author chose the village of Saosina, which is located on Adonara Island, which is part of the East Flores Regency area. Village data collection is not carried out optimally due to a lack of village officials, limited village facilities, and the absence of a village website. The author managed the data of Saosina village using the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. The main work program at Independent Community Service Program in Saosina Village is to deal with issues that arise in the management of village data administration, such as data collection, input, and the creation of community documents (family cards, birth certificates, transfer letters). Outside of the theme, activities included the distribution of basic food assistance, the production of trash cans, and the cleaning of village offices. It is hoped that the Village Government will be able to continue the programs started by KKN students and apply the concept of implementing activities as done by KKN students. In the face of the digital era 4.0, the Saosina Village Government should be able to create a special website for the Saosina Village Government on the internet that contains village information and statistics about the Saosina village

Spanish subject personal pronoun use in New York City Puerto Ricans: Can we rest the case of English contact?
No full textThe variable use of subject personal pronouns (SPPs) on null subject languages, though extensively researched in several Spanish dialects, is for the first time examined in a contact variety of Puerto Rican residents of New York City (NYC). In a large-scale study conducted by Flores-Ferrán (2002), a number of contradictions arose with regard to how the degree of exposure to NYC may mediate the influence of overt SPP use on speakers. The degree of exposure to NYC was considered as indirect contact with English. This article further analyzes how 41 Puerto Rican residents in NYC use overt SPPs, and it also describes the patterns of each group: the recent arrivals, established residents, and native-born NYC Puerto Ricans. Of the larger study, this article examines the verbs’ person and number, switch reference, and exposure to NYC. A striking resemblance in the patterns of overt SPP use was found among NYC residents, as a group, when compared to those reported on the island (Ávila-Jiménez, 1995, 1996; Cameron, 1992). However, when considering years of exposure to the City, the NYC native-born group appeared to have the strongest tendency to use explicit SPPs. In spite of the fact that this distinction was found with the NYC native-born proup, there remains little evidence in favor of an English contact hypothesis

The bibliography also allows the author to retrace the steps that have been taken and find information that the author has used for the assignment and find further views or ideas discussed by the author. In fact, students have not been able to use the Mendeley application in writing citations and making a bibliography, whereas nowadays students are required to write articles that will be published in national journals before graduation. Therefore, Mendeley training is needed for fluency in article preparation, because all national journals demand to use of the Mendeley application in citation writing and making a bibliography. The purpose of this training is for students to be able to write good and correct citations and bibliography. Implementation Method The approach method used is direct training on proposals that have been prepared by students who are programming the final project. This training was carried out at the University of Flores for 8th-semester students of the mathematics education study program who programmed their final project. The total number of students who participated in the training was 20 people, requiring participants to bring their own laptops and proposals. The method is used in the form of lectures, practice question sessions, and answers. Participants are enthusiastic and motivated to take part in the training because the knowledge gained from this training will greatly assist participants in writing final assignments and articles. More than 80% of students are able to install applications and plug-in Ms. Word independently. However, some students still have difficulty registering the application using email. Students are expected to carry out continuous exercises so that they can apply Mendeley in the life of the scientific community

FLOreS - Fractional order loop shaping MATLAB toolbox
No full textA novel toolbox named FLOreS is presented for intuitive design of fractional order controllers (FOC) using industry standard loop shaping technique. This will allow control engineers to use frequency response data (FRD) of the plant to design FOCs by shaping the open loop to meet the necessary specifications of stability, robustness, tracking, precision and bandwidth. FLOreS provides a graphical approach using closed-loop sensitivity functions for overall insight into system performance. The main advantage over existing optimization toolboxes for FOC is that the engineer can use prior knowledge and expertise of plant during design of FOC. Different approximation methods for fractional order filters are also included for greater freedom of final implementation. This combined with the included example plants enables additionally to be used as an educational tool.
