Separating and counting number of touching object using image segmentation technique / Ahmad Afif Azmi
Image segmentation is the fundamentals process in digital image processing. It is a process of partitioning a digital image into something more meaningful for easier analysis in practical application. Separating and counting number of touching object is one of the practical applications. The sample objects taken are oval, circle and rectangular. The image sample of each of the objects is captured on 3 different images. Those images would be an image of single object, multiple touching object and image consist both single and multiple touching objects. Each image will contain 7 quantities of objects. The images are first segmented using marker-controlled watershed segmentation technique. Then information pertaining to orientation and pixels in the segmented image is extracted and plotted in a graph. Next the range of the objects pixel is determined and finally the number of objects in an image can be counted. The results shows that using this algorithm can accurately separate and counting the number of touching object if correct parameter is applied

Azan reader is implemented using Visual Basic 6.0 Professional Edition .It is because the interface is user-friendly and easy to understand It save the time for azan that had been set and alerts the Muslims users when the time is equal to azan reader. It can play in laptop and desktop computer also The features of azan reader are it have five time solah like zohor,asar ,maghrib,isyak and subuh.lt also has a main time to display the user that what time are going now. This azan reader is suitable for Muslims who are busy in working at office especially doing a job in front of computer. Even though, the market have azan reader software, this azan reader is very easy installing and using.
Digital alarm clock is device that show current time and set the time for alarm. The difference on digital alarm clock described here is use one PIC 16F84A as it core this PIC will act as multiplexer and decoder with certain code that will be program in this PIC and control the circuit operation.

Investigation on selective excitation of 200um polymer cladded silica (PCS) waveguide using eigenmode expansion method / Ahmad Afif Safwan Mohd Radzi
A waveguide or an optical waveguide is the media for light to propagate through inside an insulator. The light or the electromagnetic wave is confined inside the waveguide so that it will flow direct to the next end of the waveguide. There are several types of optical waveguide which is widely used today such as circular, rectangular, tapered and slotted. All of these produce different types and forms of outputs. A waveguide can be compared by its size, where the smaller one, which is nanometer in size, mostly produces single mode wave propagation. The bigger size will have multi-mode wave propagation inside but depends to the beam size. Fiber optics consists of strings of optical waveguide which is prominent as the information transfer medium. It is widely used today inside vehicles as the information and entertainment data medium conveyor. The optical network system requires high efficiency data transportation. Self-imaging and splitting mechanism was investigated to provide better efficiency even in a highly multimode waveguide. Both of the phenomena occurred due to the multimode interference(MMI) inside the waveguide. In this thesis, a highly multimode waveguide of dimension 200umx2um was designed using refractive index of 1.456 for its core and 1.444 for its cladding. The waveguide was excited by Gaussian beam of various sizes. The results obtained show that both self-imaging and splitting mechanism still occur even though the modes were excited using Gaussian beam. Therefore, self-imaging still holds through even in a highly multimode waveguide

Praktik kerja industri adalah suatu bentuk penyelenggaraan pendidikan keahlian profesional, yang memadukan secara sistematik dan sinkron antara program pendidikan di sekolah dan program pendidikan di dunia usaha. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dan korelasional, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Adapun subyek dalam penelitian iniadalahsiswakelas XII SMK YPI Darussalam 1 Cerme tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dengan jumlah67 siswa. Teknikpengumpulan data dengan menggunakan dokumentasi, sedangkan untuk analisis datanya menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan teknik presentase dan regresi linier berganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif diketahui tingkat nilai pengetahuan yang dimiliki siswa tergolong cukup baik yaitu sekitar 34,32%, untuk nilai keterampilan diketahui 62,69 % tergolong kategori cukup baik, untuk nilai sikap diketahui47,76 % tergolong kategori baik, dan untuk hasil praktik kerja industri sekitar 34,33 % dalam kategori baik. Pada analisis regresi linier berganda antara pengetahuan, keterampilan, sikap dan hasil praktik kerja industri didapatkan nilai R Square (0,741) yang lebih besar dari r tabel (0,208) atau taraf signifikasi 0,000< 0,050 menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang nyata (signifikan), sehingga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap pada kompetensi memperbaiki sepeda motor terhadap hasil praktik kerja industri. Dengan demikian Semakin tinggi tingkat pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap pada kompetensi memperbaiki sepeda motor maka hasil praktik kerja industri kelas XII SMK siswa akan semakin baik, sebaliknya jika tingkat pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap pada kompetensi memperbaiki sepeda motor siswa semakin rendah, maka akan diikuti dengan buruknya hasil praktik kerja industri kelas XII SMK YPI Darussalam 1 Cerme. Dalam rangka pengembangan ilmu bidang pendidikan khususnya bidang otomotif maka peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan mempertimbangkan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap pada kompetensi mempebaiki sepeda motor dalam mendukung kesempatan siswa memperoleh hasil praktik kerja industri kelas XII SMK yang memuaskan, sehingga menciptakan lulusan yang berkompeten dalam bidangnya

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh fenomena yang melanda dunia pendidikan di Indonesia akibat adanya pandemi covid-19. Dampak pandemi dalam bidang pendidikan dirasakan oleh seluruh lembaga pendidikan khususnya di Indonesia, terutama dalam hal perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi pembelajaran. MAN 3 Blitar sendiri merupakan lembaga formal yang merasakan dampak dari adanya pandemi ini. Pembelajaran dilakukan secara online dan menggunakan media elektronik untuk menunjang proses belajar. Dengan begitu MAN 3 Blitar memanfatkan media elektronik berupa penggunaan aplikasi Whatsapp sebagai penunjang pembelajaran, terutama dalam Pembelajaran Akhidah Ahklak dilakukan melalui media Whatsapp, yakitu Whatsapp Groub, sebagai pemilihan media yang tepat karena memang mudah untuk di akses. Dimana sekolahan tersebut menggunkan aplikasi Whatsapp dalam pembelajaran dimasa Pandemi Covid-19 ini.
Fokus penelitian dalam skripsi ini adalah: 1)Bagaimana Perencanaan Pembelajaran Daring Akhidah Akhlak Pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19 Di MAN 3 Blitar.? 2)Bagaimana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Daring Akhidah Akhlak Pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19 Di MAN 3 Blitar.? 3) Bagaimana Evaluasi Pembelajaran Daring Akhidah Akhlak Pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19 Di MAN 3 Blitar.?. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan Strategi Pembelajaran Akhidah Ahklak Pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19 di MAN 3 Blitar.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, jenis penelitiannya adalah diskripsi. Sumber data berasal dari kepala madrasah, guru dan peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dimulai dari kondensasi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Sedangkan pengecekan keabsahan data dengan perpanjangan keikutsertaan, ketekunan pengamatan dan triangulasi.
Hasil penelitaian ini menunjukan bahwa: Pertama strategi pemebelajaran dilakukan dengan perencanaan yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi pandemi yakni dengan menggunakan media Whatsapp Group. Kedua, dalam pelaksanaannya guru memberikan penjelasan dengan pesan suara, sedangkan dalam pemberian tugas guru memberikan intruksi secara langsung dari Whatsapp Group berupa tugas yang dibuat dengan word ataupun intruksi secara langsung mengerjakan tugas di lember kerja siswa. Ketiga, evalusai pembelajaran dilakukan dengan memberikan penugasan berupa pengerjaan soal-soal tertentu melalui Google Form
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Transfer learning through policy abstraction using learning vector quantization
Reinforcement learning (RL) enables an agent to find a solution to a problem by interacting with the environment. However, the learning process always starts from scratch and possibly takes a long time. Here, knowledge transfer between tasks is considered. In this paper, we argue that an abstraction can improve the transfer learning. Modified learning vector quantization (LVQ) that can manipulate its network weights is proposed to perform an abstraction, an adaptation and a precaution. At first, the abstraction is performed by extracting an abstract policy out of a learned policy which is acquired through conventional RL method, Q-learning. The abstract policy then is used in a new task as prior information. Here, the adaptation or policy learning as well as new task\u27s abstract policy generating are performed using only a single operation. Simulation results show that the representation of acquired abstract policy is interpretable, that the modified LVQ successfully performs policy learning as well as generates abstract policy and that the application of generalized common abstract policy produces better results by more effectively guiding the agent when learning a new task
