    Diabetes atau hiperglikemia merupakan penyakit disebabkan oleh menurunnya fungsi insulin yang menyebabkan naiknya kadar gula dalam darah. Naiknya gula dalam darah dapat dicegah dengan inhibitor enzim α-glukosidase yang mengatalis pembentukan gula dalam tubuh. Daun Aquilaria malaccensis atau yang dikenal dengan nama gaharu memiliki potensi sebagai antihiperglikemik. Ekstrak tanaman ini diteliti daya inhibisinya terhadap aktivitas enzim α-glukosidase dan kinetika inhibisinya secara in vitro. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan ekstrak yang dimaserasi dengan etanol PA 96% selama 8 jam dengan konsentrasi 5, 10, 20, dan 25 ppm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak A. malaccensis memiliki potensi sebagai antihiperglikemik dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 16.86 ppm dengan persentase inhibisi tertinggi sebesar 72.03% pada konsentrasi 25 ppm

    The bark of  Albizia lebeckioides  and  Albizia falcataria  have been examined for their chemical constituents. A. lebeckioides has yielded the steroidal ketone, stigmasta-4,22-dien-3-one, and a triterpene alcohol as the major neutral components.  A. falcataria  has yielded a similar triterpene  and fatty ester as its major constituents. The toxicity of the compounds was evaluated in bioassay against termites. The results showed that lupenone and stigmastadienone were toxic  ioNeotermes dalbergiae  species. In contrast these compounds were less toxic to Cryptotermes cynocephalus species.     Music as Propaganda for Humanitarian Diplomacy: Semiotic Analysis of Ferdinand de Saussure in The Song We Are The World

    In this paper, the author will examine one of the songs with the most phenomenal theme of humanity, entitled We Are The World. In the making, this song was created as a charity song initiated by the USA for Africa which aims to raise funds for the prevention of hunger in the African region, precisely in Ethiopia. This is because Ethiopia is experiencing political instability and drought from 1984-1985. In this study, the author uses Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic analysis to see the message of meaning contained in each of the lyrics. For the research methodology, the author uses a qualitative method to review this paper. Then the author also uses the concept of humanity as the basis of the research argument, the concept of love by Mahatma Gandhi and M. Said Ramadhan Al Buthi in their interpretation of Ali Imron verse 14 and uses propaganda theory to see the role of this song implies the value of humanity. Sources of data were obtained through literature review from Scopus and Google Scholar journal documents with the NVivo 12 Plus application as a lyric analysis tool. The findings resulting from this study are that with the song, moral and humanitarian messages can be conveyed well to the public by upholding universal ethical values towards humanity. It is proven that the song We Are The World always gets more enthusiasm in the community by always being commemorated on the date of its creation, and from the recording royalties it is allocated for charity activities. It is believed by the author as a parameter for the success of the song We Are The World to get more sympathy and become a symbolic song for human things

    Hukum di Indonesia memperhatikan peraturan tentang tindak pidana yang berkaitan dengan anak, hal ini karena anak adalah sebagai salah satu generasi bangsa haruslah dilindungi oleh undang-undang. Adapun undang-undang yang berkaitan khusus tentang anak dapat dilihat dengan munculnya Undang-Undang Nomor 11 tahun 2012 Tentang Sistem Peradilan Pidana Anak dan UndangUndang Undang Nomor 35 Tahun 2014 Tentang Perubahan Atas Undang-Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2002 Tentang Perlindungan Anak. Tindak Pidana terhadap anak yang sering terjadi adalah tindak pidana kesusilaan yang meliputi persetubuhan dan pencabulan. Salah satu tindak pidana kesusilaan terhadap anak terdapat dalam putusan Pengadilan Nomor 8/Pid.Sus.Anak/2015/ PN.Tjb, dari putusan tersebut maka penulis tertarik untuk menganalisa apakah Pasal 82 Ayat (1) UUPA Jo UU SPPA yang dijatuhkan oleh hakim dalam Putusan Nomor : 8/Pid.Sus.Anak/2015/ PN.Tjb telah sesuai dengan perbuatan terdakwa yang terungkap di persidangan. Selain itu penulis juga tertarik untuk menganalisa apakah akibat hukum apabila amar putusan yang tidak konsisten dalam Putusan Nomor : 8/Pid.Sus.Anak/2015/ PN.Tjb. Tujuan dari penelitian yang dilakukan penulis ini adalah untuk mengetahui maksud dari penelitian yang dilakukan peneliti.Tujuan penulisan skripsi ini yaitu untuk menganalisis putusan hakim dalam perkara Nomor 8/Pid.Sus.Anak/2015/ PN.Tjb telah sesuai dengan Pasal 82 ayat (1) atau Pasal 81 ayat (2) UndangUndang Nomor 35 tahun 2014 Tentang Perubahan Atas Undang-Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2002 Tentang Perlindungan Anak dan untuk menganalisis akibat amar putusan yang tidak konsisten dalam Putusan Nomor 8/Pid/Sus.Anak/2015/ Pn.Tjb.Untuk tipe penelitian yang digunakan penulis dalam skripsi ini adalah tipe penelitian hukum (legal research). Pendekatan masalah yang digunakan adalah pendekatan perundang-undangan dan pendekatan secara konseptual. Metode dalam pengumpulan bahan hukum penulis menggunakan dua sumber bahan hukum, yang pertama yaitu sumber bahan hukum primer yang sumber bahan hukum ini berasal dari peraturan perundang-undangan, dan yang kedua yaitu sumber bahan hukum sekunder yang sumber bahan hukum ini berasal dari bukubuku hukum, jurnal hukum, teori ahli. Kemudian melakukan analisa bahan hukum. Hasil penelitian dalam Putusan Nomor 8/Pid.Sus.Anak/2015/PN.Tjb yang menyatakan terdakwa terbukti melakukan perbuatan cabul terhadap korban WK dan dijatuhi dengan Pasal 82 Ayat 1 UUPA kurang tepat, karena dalam pembuktian di persidangan yang terdiri dari keterangan saksi, alat bukti berupa surat visum, dan keterangan yang diberikan terdakwa semuanya cocok saling berkaitan, dan dari alat bukti yang ada di persidangan tersebut penulis dalam hal ini menyatakan bahwa perbuatan yang dilakukan terdakwa terhadap korban ini bukan perbuatan cabul melainkan persetubuhan, dimana arti persetubuhan adalah perpaduan antara alat kelamin laki-laki dan alat kelamin perempuan dengan penetrasi yang seringan-ringannya, dengan atau tanpa mengeluarkan air mani. Sehingga perbuatan terdakwa lebih tepatnya dipidana dalam dakwaan pertama, yaitu Pasal 81 Ayat (2) UUPA. Kesimpulan dari masalah yang kedua Bahwa amar putusan dalam Putusan Nomor 8/Pid.Sus.Anak/2015/PN.Tjb hakim memutus yang menyatakan terdakwa anak DDS tersebut, terbukti secara sah dan meyakinkan bersalah melakukan tindak pidana “melakukan perbuatan cabul terhadap anak” sebagaimana dakwaan primer jaksa penuntut umum, Jika di lihat dari surat dakwaannya, dakwaan primer menyatakan perbuatan persetubuhan bukan perbuatan cabul masih dapat dibenarkan karena dalam kalimat selanjutnya ada suatu pembatasan dari hakim itu sendiri, hakim menyatakan sebagaimana dakwaan primer, sehingga jika kita mengkaji secara mendalam maksud dari amar putusan menyatakan perbuatan cabul ini adalah persetubuhan, akan tetapi seyogyanya jika untuk putusan-putusan kedepannya yang akan dibuat oleh hakim lebih ditegaskan lagi mengenai amar putusan yang dibuat oleh hakim tersebut. Saran dalam penulisan skripsi ini adalah Hakim seyogianya lebih teliti dalam menentukan kualifikasi perbuatan antara perbuatan cabul dan persetubuhan karena konsekuensi yuridisnya berbeda. Hakim juga harus lebih teliti dalam pembuatan amar putusan agar terciptanya kepastian hukum yang jelas dan rasa keadilan, supaya tidak terjadi pemahaman yang rumit tentang amar putusan yang tidak konsisten karena Hakim memiliki wewenang dan tugas hakim yang sangat besar itu menuntut tanggung jawab yang tinggi

    EXAMINING CODE-SWITCHING PRACTICES IN HILMAN HARIWIJAYA’S MAKHLUK MANIS DALAM BIS AND BUNGA UNTUK POPPI (TWO NOVELS TAKEN FROM THE SERIES OF LUPUS)

    This study, entitled Examining Code-switching Practices in Hilman Hariwijaya’s Makhluk Manis Dalam Bis and Bunga Untuk Poppi (Two Novels Taken from the Series of Lupus), aims to investigate types and functions of code-switching in the characters’ conversations in two novels written by Hilman Hariwijaya. The discussion is framed within Poplack’s theory (1980) related to types of code-switching and functions of code-switching theory proposed by Koziol (2000 as cited in Fauzia, 2008; Ramdhani, 2010; and Hendriyani, 2012).The data are analyzed by implementing qualitative method through several stages, i.e. underlining the code-switching in the characters’ conversations; classifying the code-switching into their types and functions; and quantifying the frequency each type and function. Afterwards, the data are interpreted and discussed to draw the conclusions of the study.The results of data analysis show that there are three types of code-switching, namely intra-sentential switching (95.06%), inter-sentential switching (2.64%), and tag-switching (2.3%). Considering the frequency of code-switching, Intra-sentential switching (95.06%) is the most frequent type of code-switching found, whereas tag-switching (2.3%) is the least frequent type. Regarding the functions, there are 13 functions of code-switching: emphasis (49.20%), designation (10.92%), clarification (9.12%), objectification (6.15%), aggravating message (5.73%), parenthesis (5.73%), mitigating message (3.71%), topic shift (3.28%), untranslatability (3.28%), personalisation (1.06%), interjection (0.85%), reiteration (0.64%), and quotation (0.32%). Emphasis (49.20%) is the most dominant function of code-switching while quotation (0.32%) is the least frequent function. Moreover, the results indicate that the author of the novels posseses good ability of English and Bahasa Betawi. Keywords: Lupus, Code-switching, Types and Functions of Code-switching

    Konstruksi makna keadilan sebagai pesan dakwah: Analisis wacana kritis pada buku Narasi Rakyat Karya Hilman Indrawan

    INDONESIA: Media dakwah melalui tulisan menjadi salah satu metode yang efektif untuk menyampaikan pesan-pesan agama yang kontekstual, seperti yang dilakukan dalam buku "Narasi Rakyat" karya Hilman Indrawan dan rekan-rekannya. Buku ini menyajikan kritik sosial yang tajam terhadap ketidakadilan di Indonesia, seperti korupsi, tirani, dan pelanggaran hak asasi manusia. Namun, di balik kritik tersebut, terdapat pesan dakwah yang mengajak pembaca untuk merenungkan nilai-nilai spiritual dan moral. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Menganalisis representasi makna keadilan dalam dimensi teks pada buku "Narasi Rakyat"; (2) Mengidentifikasi pengaruh kognisi sosial penulis terhadap makna keadilan dalam buku "Narasi Rakyat"; (3) Mengkaji peran konteks sosial dalam membentuk makna keadilan yang disajikan dalam buku "Narasi Rakyat" ; dan (4) Mengidentifikasi pesan dakwah yang terdapat pada makna keadilan dalam buku "Narasi Rakyat". Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Analisis Wacana Kritis model Teun A. Van Dijk. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi (analisis teks), wawancara mendalam dengan penulis, dan observasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) model Teun A. van Dijk yang menekankan tiga dimensi analisis, yaitu analisis teks, kognisi sosial, dan konteks sosial. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan peneliti untuk mengidentifikasi struktur makro, superstruktur, dan struktur mikro wacana, mengungkap skema peristiwa, memori kolektif, ideologi, serta hubungan antara bahasa dan kekuasaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Dimensi teks menampilkan keadilan sebagai kritik terhadap pengkhianatan kekuasaan dan sebagai keteladanan moral melalui tokoh-tokoh yang berintegritas; (2) Dimensi kognisi sosial mengungkapkan skema diri penulis sebagai pemuda muslim yang progresif dan berempati, yang memandang menulis sebagai bentuk dakwah sosial dan perlawanan terhadap ketidakadilan; (3) Dimensi konteks sosial menunjukkan bahwa wacana keadilan lahir dari keresahan terhadap praktik kekuasaan oligarki dan krisis moral, yang mendorong penulis untuk membuat narasi tandingan yang berpihak pada rakyat; (4) Pesan dakwah yang dikonstruksi dalam buku ini mencakup aspek akidah, syariah, dan akhlak. ENGLISH: Da’wah through writing is one of the most effective methods for delivering contextual religious messages, as exemplified in the book Narasi Rakyat by Hilman Indrawan and colleagues. This book presents sharp social critiques of injustice in Indonesia, such as corruption, tyranny, and human rights violations. Behind these critiques, however, lies a da’wah message that invites readers to reflect on spiritual and moral values. This research aims to: (1) Analyze the representation of the meaning of justice in the textual dimension of Narasi Rakyat; (2) Identify the influence of the author’s social cognition on the meaning of justice in Narasi Rakyat; (3) Examine the role of social context in shaping the meaning of justice presented in Narasi Rakyat; and (4) Identify the da’wah messages contained within the meaning of justice in Narasi Rakyat. This study uses a qualitative approach with Teun A. van Dijk’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) method. Data collection techniques include documentation (text analysis), in-depth interviews with the author, and observation. The CDA framework emphasizes three dimensions of analysis: text, social cognition, and social context. This approach enables the researcher to identify macrostructure, superstructure, and microstructure of discourse, uncover event schemata, collective memory, ideology, and the relationship between language and power. The results of this research show that: (1) The textual dimension presents justice as a critique of the betrayal of power and as a moral exemplar through figures of integrity; (2) The social cognition dimension reveals the author’s self-schema as a progressive and empathetic young Muslim who views writing as a form of social da’wah and resistance to injustice; (3) The social context dimension shows that the discourse on justice arises from concerns over oligarchic power practices and moral crises, prompting the author to create counter-narratives in favor of the people; and (4) The da’wah messages constructed in this book include aspects of aqidah (creed), sharia (Islamic law), and akhlaq (morality)

    Energy transition in the Kalimantan power system: Combining spatiotemporal power system modelling with energy justice analysis

    The Indonesian government has announced a national strategy to achieve net-zero emissions through energy transition and justice. However, there are no extensive studies that assess the impact of this strategy and the growing demand in the Kalimantan power system. Therefore, this thesis project aims to conduct a techno-economic and energy justice analysis of the power system with the research question: “What is the optimum configuration of renewable energy integration in the interconnected Kalimantan power system in 2050 to achieve net-zero carbon emissions while considering some energy justice parameters?” The research is conducted using spatiotemporal power system modelling as well as qualitative analysis. This research concludes that RE integration and transmission system interconnection could lower the levelized system costs in 2050. The LCOE from the Kalimantan power system model could decline from 72 USD/MWh in 2021 to 31 USD/MWh in 2050. The electricity generation mix could evolve from 90% fossil fuel in 2021 to 100% RE plus battery storage in 2050, consisting of 76% hydro, 11% solar, 9% biomass, and is supported by 3% battery storage. It includes achieving net-zero carbon emissions and improving energy justice in terms of affordability, availability, and intra- and inter-generational equity in the Kalimantan power system.Complex Systems Engineering and Management (CoSEM

    Energy justice for whom? Territorial (re)production and everyday state-making in electrifying rural Indonesia

    This article seeks to examine the material implications of the emergence of an energy justice (energi berkeadilan) vision in Indonesia, paying particular attention to the state's spatial practice to achieve such a vision in the form of rural electrification programs including the deployment of off-grid decentralised renewables. Informed by semi-structured interviews, participant observation and secondary data analysis, we contribute to the growing conversations on geographical political economy of energy transitions by closely attending to the multiple space-making processes characterising the Indonesian government's pursuit of their energy justice vision. Inspired by Henri Lefebvre's ideas on state space and territory, we begin by unravelling the historical connection between the rise of energy justice vision and the Indonesian state attempts to maintain and expand its territorial reach through rural electrification, as evidenced throughout the country's contemporary political economies and its earlier history of postcolonial struggles. We simultaneously unpack various legal mechanisms and instruments underpinning the government's efforts to deliver energy justice promises by way of universal electricity access, demonstrating the centrality of such strategies in the (re)production of state territories. Through inquiring how energy justice is mobilised by (and for) the Indonesian state, our study illustrates that such everyday state-making processes entail a calculative technique as another form of territorial intervention that obscures the reality of socio-spatially uneven and fragmented electricity access in rural Indonesia.
