A Comparative Study on the Thermodynamics of Halogen Bonding of Group 10 Pincer Fluoride Complexes
No full textThe thermodynamics of halogen bonding of a series of isostructural Group 10 metal pincer fluoride complexes of the type [(3,5-R2-tBuPOCOPtBu)MF] (3,5-R2-tBuPOCOPtBu=κ3-C6HR2-2,6-(OPtBu2)2 with R=H, tBu, COOMe; M=Ni, Pd, Pt) and iodopentafluorobenzene was investigated. Based on NMR experiments at different temperatures, all complexes 1-tBu (R=tBu, M=Ni), 2-H (R=H, M=Pd), 2-tBu (R=tBu, M=Pd), 2-COOMe (R=COOMe, M=Pd) and 3-tBu (R=tBu, M=Pt) form strong halogen bonds with Pd complexes showing significantly stronger binding to iodopentafluorobenzene. Structural and computational analysis of a model adduct of complex 2-tBu with 1,4-diiodotetrafluorobenzene as well as of structures of iodopentafluorobenzene in toluene solution shows that formation of a type I contact occurs

No full textThe asymmetric unit of the title compound, C14H25NO3, contains two independent molecules with similar geometry. The morpholine and cyclohexane rings of both molecules adopt a chair conformation. Intramolecular O - H⋯N hydrogen bonds are observed. In the crystal, molecules are linked by O - H⋯O hydrogen bonds into chains parallel to the [101] direction. The chains are further connected through C - H⋯O hydrogen bonds forming undulating layers parallel to the (1 ̄01) plane. The absolute configuration was assigned by reference to an unchanging chiral centre in the synthetic procedure
Synthesis, characterization and catalytic activity of novel ruthenium complexes bearing NNN click based ligands
No full textNovel air stable ruthenium(ii) complexes bearing tridentate ligands bis((1-benzyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)methyl)amine (L1), 1-(1-benzyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)-N-(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)methanamine (L2) or 2-(4-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-1-yl)-N-(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)ethan-1-amine (L3) were synthesised. The nitrogen based ligands were easily prepared by virtue of click chemistry using cheap and commercially available reagents. The ruthenium complexes were obtained by heating the Ru(PPh3)(3)Cl-2 precursor and the tridentate NNN ligand in toluene under reflux for 2 hours, achieving yields of 82-87%. These complexes were fully characterized by means of NMR, FT-IR and high resolution ESI spectroscopy. The crystal structure of one of the complexes was determined. These complexes showed excellent activity and selectivity in the hydrogenation of ketones and aldehydes. DFT calculations show that complex 3 may react through an outer-sphere catalytic cycle rather than via an inner-sphere mechanism

Efficient Hydrogenation of N‐Heterocycles Catalyzed by NNP–Manganese(I) Pincer Complexes at Ambient Temperature
No full text: Manganese-catalyzed hydrogenation reactions have aroused widespread interest in recent years. Among the catalytic systems described, especially PNP- and NNP-Mn pincer catalysts have been reported for the hydrogenation of aldehydes, ketones, nitriles, aldimines and esters. Furthermore, NNP-Mn pincer compounds are efficient catalysts for the hydrogenolysis of less reactive amides, ureas, carbonates, and carbamates. Herein, the synthesis and application of specific imidazolylaminophosphine ligands and the corresponding Mn pincer complexes are described. These new catalysts have been characterized and studied by a combination of experimental and theoretical investigations, and their catalytic activities have been tested in several hydrogenation reactions with good to excellent performance. Especially, the reduction of N-heterocycles can be performed under very mild conditions
A representação do cidadão uberlandense na revista Almanaque: uma análise sobre fontes citadas e mencionadas
No full textConsidering the importance of journalism in people's lives and their ability to reinforce standards, highlight social norms, and confer prestige on certain groups and subjects, this research seeks who should be represented as a citizen of Uberlândia in the publications of the journal Almanaque. Within the methodology of Content Analysis (BARDIN, 2010), the paper proposes to analyze the subjects cited and mentioned by the journal, considering the use of the sources as a form of maintenance of power and the established social structure. 15 editions of the journal Almanaque were analyzed, from which 15 journalistic profiles were selected, of which 269 subjects were found, among sources and personalities, cited and mentioned. The analysis took into account the categories: font type, classification, sex, color and occupation.
Among the results, it can be seen that the citizens of Uberlandia are represented in the Almanaque, mostly by male subjects, white and exercising political occupation.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação)Considerando a importância do jornalismo na vida das pessoas e a sua capacidade de reforçar padrões, realçar normas sociais, e conferir prestígio a determinados grupos e sujeitos, esta pesquisa busca quem deve ser representado enquanto cidadão uberlandense nas publicações da revista Almanaque. Dentro da metodologia de Análise de Conteúdo (BARDIN, 2010), o trabalho se propõe a analisar os sujeitos citados e mencionados pela revista, tendo em vista o uso das fontes como uma forma de manutenção de poder e da estrutura social estabelecida. Foram analisadas 15 edições da revista Almanaque, das quais selecionamos 15 perfis jornalísticos, nos quais foram encontrados 269 sujeitos, entre fontes e personalidades, citadas e mencionadas. A análise levou em consideração as categorias: tipo de fonte, classificação, sexo, cor e ocupação. Entre os resultados constata-se que os cidadãos uberlandenses são representados na Almanaque, em sua maioria, por sujeitos do sexo masculino, brancos e que exercem ocupação política
