The Concepts of «Cultural Explosion» by Yu. M. Lotman, Scientific Revolutions by T. Kuhn and «Three–Stage Development of Science» by V. S. Stepin: Comparative Analysis
Today, the culture of our country and the whole world, primarily due to the explosive development of electronic technologies and their innovative potential, is at a stage of development, defined by many as a «revolutionary leap» or «phase transition». The scholars studying humanities have already accumulated a significant array of conceptual and theoretical constructions aimed at analyzing and understanding the functioning of socio-cultural realities in such «transitional» conditions. Many of them in new situations open up new facets of reading and understanding. The concepts considered by us are Yu. M. Lotman, T. Kuhn and V. S. Stepin as independent phenomena have repeatedly become objects of research analysis; however, so far no attempts have been made to compare them in general
Прагматические грани разума
This essay provides an account of the pragmatic dimension of the apriori in relation to some leading philosophical approaches of the 20th century. The author brings together early pragmatism, from James to Morris, and Italian transcendentalism (A. Banfi, G. Preti) to underline the straight theoretical filiation of the latter ones from American philosophers. Authors are compared in order to bring to light the original account of the apriori as embedded in pragmatic, hence historical experience, provided by Italian transcendentalism
Secukinumab treatment in new-onset psoriasis: aiming to understand the potential for disease modification – rationale and design of the randomized, multicenter STEPIn study
Background: To date, biological treatments have been assessed in subjects with a long-term history of psoriasis and previous failures to systemic and topical therapies. In rheumatoid arthritis and other immune-mediated inflammatory diseases, early intensive systemic treatment prolongs treatment-free remission. We hypothesize that, by treating patients with psoriasis early with an effective systemic therapy, we may be able to alter the clinical outcome and the natural course of the disease. The STEPIn study (NCT03020199) investigates early intervention with secukinumab versus narrow-band ultraviolet B (nb-UVB) phototherapy in subjects with new-onset psoriasis. Objective: To determine whether early intervention with either nb-UVB treatment or secukinumab in subjects with new-onset plaque psoriasis might modify the natural course of the disease. Methods: One hundred and sixty subjects aged 18–50 years with new-onset (≤12 months) moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis and naïve to systemic treatment and phototherapy will be randomized to secukinumab 300 mg or nb-UVB. The Main Study has two treatment arms: Arm A1, subcutaneous secukinumab 300 mg at baseline, Weeks 1, 2, 3 and 4, and every 4 weeks thereafter until and including Week 52; Arm B1, one/two cycles of nb-UVB for 12 weeks each (maximum 28-week break between cycles). After treatment discontinuation, patients will be followed up and monitored for disease activity up to Week 208. A Mechanistic Sub-study will assess immunological changes and pathogenic tissue-resident memory T cells in skin biopsies. Conclusions: STEPIn is the first study to investigate whether early intensive treatment in new-onset psoriasis can modify the long-term natural course of the disease and thus become a novel treatment strategy for patients with psoriasis
Минимальная динамическая система с заданной D -функцией и топологической энтропией
The D-function is a new topological invariant introduced by the author in [3] to classify the minimal dynamical system and to generalize Sharkovskii's theorem on the coexistence of periodic orbits. We show that the D-function and the topological entropy are independent.D-функція мінімальної множини — новий інваріант, запропонований автором [3] для класифікації мінімальних множин і розповсюдження на них теорем А. М. Шарковського про співіснування періодичних орбіт. Доведена незалежність D-функції та топологічної ентропії.The author gratefully acknowledges the encourage by professor A M. Stepin in the current work

Experiment and Theoretical Terms from an Operational Point of view
The thesis of the "theory ladenness" of observation leads to an antinomy. In order to solve this antinomy a technical operationalism is sketched, according to which theories should in principle not contain anything that cannot be reduced to technical procedures. This implies the rejection of Quine's underdeterminacy thesis and of many views about the theoretical-observational distinction, e.g. neopositivistic views, van Fraassen's view, Sneed-Stegmüller's view. Then I argue for the following theses: 1. All scientific concepts are theory laden in the sense that they allow us to anticipate possible experiences, but they have to be in principle fully observable, i.e. integrally convertible into operational-technical applications. 2. The observation/theory distinction can be maintained as a historical one: what is observable depends on the instruments that are available at any stage of the development of science. 3. In principle theoretical entities are empirically real in Hacking's sense. However, some aspects of Hacking's realism are to be criticized. Theoretical entities are to be resolved into the totality of the interrelated properties accessible to us by means of theoretical points of view embodied in scientific instruments
