Analisis wacana kritis dekonstruksi peran gender pada drama the tale of lady ok
Abstract
South Korea still presents a patriarchal social system, mainly due to the strong influence of Confucianism since the Joseon Dynasty. The patriarchal system in society is often represented through media, including Korean dramas that feature gender stereotypes towards female characters. However, the drama The Tale of Lady Ok chosen by the authors presents a different narrative through its main character, Ok Tae Young, a woman from the slave class who challenges traditional gender norms and stereotypes. This character is not only represented as an empowered woman, but also as a figure who is able to reverse her social position in a patriarchal society structure. This research aims to find out how the drama deconstructs gender roles through the main character Ok Tae Young. The researcher used a qualitative approach with the critical discourse analysis method of Teun A. van Dijk model which includes three main dimensions, the dimensions of text, social cognition, and social context. The results of the research through the analysis of these three dimensions show that the drama actively deconstructs gender roles through the main character who has a strategic position in the public space and the realm of power. The narrative carried by the main character shows resistance to traditional gender construction and the ability to penetrate the patriarchal social system through her leadership capacity, empathy, and legal strategies. The dramas not only showcase resistance to gender inequality, but also offer an alternative discourse that women have the potential to be agents of change.

Implementasi YOLO V8 Dengan Pemanfaatan Apple M2 Untuk Deteksi Perilaku Merokok
Indonesia is one of the countries facing serious problems related to the high number of smokers. Active smokers have a high risk of contracting various serious diseases, such as heart disease, cancer, respiratory diseases, and others. Additionally, exposure to tobacco smoke also has adverse effects on passive smokers, who are often individuals around them who do not smoke but are affected by it. Conventional methods for detecting smokers are often inefficient and require significant manual intervention, thus necessitating a technological solution for automatic and real-time detection to support the enforcement of anti-smoking regulations. Therefore, this research aims to detect smoking behavior using the You Only Look Once (YOLO) version 8 method on Apple M2. YOLO V8 was chosen for its capability in fast and accurate object detection, while the Apple M2 supports real-time processing. The training results showed an accuracy rate of 91.6%, precision of 96.4%, recall of 90.4%, and an F1-Score of 93.2%. During the inference stage, the Apple Neural Engine (ANE) was able to process 21-25 frames per second (fps), demonstrating good capability for real-time object detection. The combination of YOLO V8 and Apple M2 proved effective for detecting smokers in public areas, offering an efficient and effective innovative solution, supporting the creation of a smoke-free environment in Indonesia, and showing great potential for the application of edge computing in similar applications in the future

This research aims to find out the representation of interpersonal conflict in a deaf family with a Child of Deaf Adult in the movie CODA. This research uses qualitative method with Roland Barthes semiotic approach to explore the meaning of denotation, connotation, and myth, particularly within the context of interpersonal conflicts faced by family members in the film “CODAâ€. The results show that interpersonal conflicts are depicted through quarrels, passive-aggressive behavior, and value clashes, which arise as a result of differences in cultural identity, family expectations and hopes, adjustment and dependence, and inequality of roles and responsibilities. The movie also breaks some myths, namely the assumption that the responsibility and role of an interpreter lies only with a CODA, the myth that one's success and happiness lies in financial success and business stability, and the myth that deaf people cannot be independent and always depend on others

The Role of Citizen Journalism in Creating Public Sphere in Indonesia
Contribution of media in creating public sphere in democratic society has been widely known. The features of media allow citizen to share and contest their opinion and thought. Furthermore, academics agree that good quality information of political issue and public interests would provide a basis for citizen to make better decisions making related to their own interests and public concern. However, in many countries media are no longer serve the public interest, they tend to serve interest of the elite. Thus the elite overpowered the public sphere. This also happen in Indonesia, previously media were controlled by the government for long time in an authoritarian system, after the growing numbers of private owned media, there is a tendency that public sphere in media are could only be accessed by the elite. Meanwhile the some of the prerequisite for democracy and good governance is the right to information and equality for people to express their opinion. This condition could only be fulfilled by independent and free of interest’s media. Citizen journalism as a new form of media is believed to bring hope in creating ideal public sphere according to model of deliberative online public sphere by Dahlberg
Relation between political economic of media with the strategies for radio positioning to maintain the existence of commercial radio (Case study of JJFM Radio in Surabaya)
Competition and contestation among commercial radio broadcasting are tight so that each commercial radio has a clear character, specific and strong. The competition occurs both on commercial radio that relies on segmentation based on demographic or psychographics. The established commercial radio broadcasting was always optimistic to gain profit despite new commercial radios continuing to emerge. While new commercial radios are sure to capture new audiences and advertisers. The existence of the Broadcasting Act No. 32 of 2002, in fact increasingly exacerbates competition among commercial radios. Because many of the terms and conditions for a commercial radio station to run a business, especially: limitations of the range of broadcasting (Article 31); licensing (Article 33), and the validity period of broadcast licenses (article 34). The strictness of the requirements the implementation of new licenses and the renewal of the old with the involvement of broadcast content requires creativity and seriousness of the radio broadcasting managers to maintain its existence (the number of listeners and the amount of advertising revenue). In the middle of handling this business, some commercial radios then make changes to the program and the segmentation according to which legislative provisions are not allowed to be done immediately and without going through the stages of licensing. The interest of this paper is not to examine violations of the law, but to new positioning strategy changes made by the established commercial radios in Surabaya. This paper will examine the relations between theories of the political economy of media with the media positioning strategy to maintain the existence of commercial radios in Surabaya
