The relationship between nāḇî\' and miṯnabbê in the Hebrew Bible
A heterogeneidade do profetismo israelita pode ser abordada de diversas maneiras. Na presente pesquisa, elegemos o binômio nāḇî\' e miṯnabbê como janela de observação para um estudo interdisciplinar dos fenômenos proféticos na Bíblia Hebraica, utilizando contribuições de diversas disciplinas. Nosso objetivo foi o de discutir uma questão que está sobre a mesa de debates dos pesquisadores, possuindo uma bibliografia que é vasta, porém inconclusiva A dificuldade dos scholars em afirmar em que medida o binômio nāḇî\'/miṯnabbê descreve ou não fenômenos distintos torna a questão complexa e instigante. Os capítulos do trabalho acompanham o recorte do estudo, que é composto por quatro narrativas: Nm 11, 1 Sm 10, Ez 13 e Mq 3. A forma participial miṯnabbê descreve o comportamento dos anciãos em face do nāḇî\' Moisés (Nm 11), a performance de Saul diante de um ḥeḇel neḇiʼim (grupo de profetas) em êxtase e ao som de música (1 Sm 10), bem como a atividade das profetisas-miṯnabb ͤ ʼōṯ, cuja racionalidade (designada pelo termo lêḇ, \"coração\") obstinada (šrr) é criticada pelo nāḇî\' Ezequiel (Ez 13). A condição profética dos anciãos e de Saul se relaciona com a vinda do ruaḥ (sopro, espírito) divino. O substantivo nāḇî\' está em questão também na crítica ao pagamento do profeta ávido por enganar (šeqer) e \"morder\" (nōšek) lucros e benefícios(Mq 3). Por meio do exame dessas passagens, levantamos discussões que resultaram em um comentário crítico sobre o profetismo israelita, que destaca a abertura de possibilidades de pesquisa suscitada pelo binômio nāḇî\'/miṯnabbêThe heterogeneity of the Israelite prophecy can be approached from several ways. In this study, we chose the binomial nāḇî\' and miṯnabbê as an observation window to an interdisciplinary study of the prophetic phenomena in the Hebrew Bible, using input from several disciplines. Our goal was to discuss an issue that is present in the current discussions of researchers, having a bibliography that is extensive but inconclusive. The difficulty researchers have to state to which extent the binomial nāḇî\'/miṯnabbê describes or not distinct phenomena makes the issue complex and instigating. The chapters of this work follow the scope of the study, which consists of four narratives: Nu 11, 1 Sa 10, Eze 13 and Mic 3. The participial form miṯnabbê describes the behavior of elders in the face of nāḇî\' Moses (Nu 11), the performance of Saul before a ḥeḇel neḇiʼim (group of prophets) in ecstasy and at the sound of music (1 Sa 10), as well as the activity of the prophetesses - miṯnabb ͤ ʼōṯ, whose obstinate (šrr) rationality (designated by the term lêḇ,\"heart\") is criticized by the nāḇî\' Ezekiel (Eze 13). The prophetic condition of the elders and Saul relates to the coming of the divine ruaḥ (blow, spirit). The noun nāḇî\' is emphasized also in the criticism about the payment of the prophet eager to cheat (šeqer) and to \"bite\" (nōšek) profitsand benefits(Mic 3). Through the examination of these passages, we raised discussions that resulted in a critical commentary on the Israelite prophecy, which highlights the opening of research possibilities raised by the binomial nāḇî\'/miṯnabb

Otentisitas Hadis-Hadis Hubungan Ulama Dengan Umara Dalam Perspektif Al-Suyūṯī
Penelitian ini berdasarkan atas kegelisahan penulis dalam melihat
semakin banyaknya ulama yang masuk dalam ranah politik untuk merebut kursi
jabatan dalam pemerintahan, namun seiring dengan meningkatnya para ulama
yang duduk di kursi pemerintahan, korupsi, kolusi juga semakin meningkat pula,
hal ini menunjukkan tidak adanya kontrol yang baik saat ulama sama-sama
duduk dalam kursi kekuasaan. Di samping itu sepertinya ulama kurang
memperhatikan etika berpolitik dan bekerjasama antara ulama dengan umara
atau pemerintah. Sehingga belakangan ini muncul dokrin-dokrin tidak
diperbolehkan para ulama mendekati para umara apalagi masuk di dalamnya, hal
tersebut berdasarkan hadis Nabi Saw, sebagaimana yang telah ditulis al-Suyuti
dalam karyanya yang berjudul Mā Rawāhu Al-Asātin Fi ?Adami Al-Maji?i Ila Al-
Salātin.
Tujuan penelitian ini yang pertama adalah untuk menemukan gambaran
yang rinci dan jelas mengenai hadis-hadis yang ditulis oleh al-Suyuti dalam
karyanya yakni tentang hadis-hadis hubungan ulama dengan umara. Yang kedua
bertujuan untuk mengetahui keotentikan hadis-hadis hubungan ulama dan umara
yang ditulisnya. Namun perlu diketahui bahwa dalam penelitian ini tidak diteliti
secara keseluruhan isi kitab tersebut, akan tetapi hanya dibatasi dengan hadishadis
hubungan ulama dengan umara saja, atau terbatas pada hadis-hadis yang
tidak dijelaskan keoriginalitasannya oleh al-Suyūṯī.
al-Suyūṯī yang hidup pada masa Dinasti Mamluk melihat kinerja
pemerintahan kurang efektif dengan berbagai macam pola kinerjanya, maka
dianggap wajar jika kemudian al-Suyūṯī meresponnya dengan menyusun kitab Mā
Rawāhu al-Asāṯīn Fī ?Adami al-Maji?i Ila al-Salāṯīn yang secara garis besar berisi
seruan agar para ulama pada masa itu tidak terlibat dalam sebuah pemerintahan.
Namun dalam pemahaman atas hadis-hadis yang ditulisnya telihat tekstual dan
bercorak fundamintal konseptual, sehingga tidak sepenuhnya dapat diterapkan
pada realitas sosial, disamping keotentikan hadis-hadis yang dikutipnya bertaraf
rendah yakni berkualitas da?if bahkan beberapa ulama hadis seperti al-Bani
mengatakan mauḍū
The Cross in Rūmī’s Maṯnawī
A cursory reading of Rūmī’s Maṯnawī suggests that the author follows the dominant Qur’ānic interpretation denying Jesus Christ’s Crucifixion. Closer analysis demonstrates, however, that Rūmī interprets the Cross and considers its spiritual significance in a subtle and symbolic way. This study addresses this contradiction by developing a synthesis that clarifies Rūmī’s spiritual anthropology. In the Islamic context, his writing constitutes a significant attempt to understand and interpret the Christian Scriptures and overcome sensitive points of conflict that are considered dividing lines between the faiths
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Konsep Dhalâl dalam al-Qur`ân: Studi Komparatif Penafsiran Muḫammad Ḫusein Ṯabâṯabâ`î dan Muḫammad Mutawallî Sya'râwî
Skripsi ini mengkaji suatu bahasan dengan topik dhalâl yang dikaji melalui perbandingan penafsiran antara Muḫammad Ḫusein Ṯabâṯabâ`î dengan Muḫammad Mutawallî Sya‟râwî. Hasil temuan dari kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa Ṯabâṯabâ`î di dalam Tafsir al-Mizân dan Sya‟râwî di dalam Tafsîr al-Sya‟râwî memiliki perbedaan sekaligus persamaan ketika menafsirkan beberapa ayat yang mengandung tema dhalâl. Hasil ini memperkuat teori yang menyatakan bahwa interpretasi ataupun penafsiran terhadap ayat-ayat al-Qur‟an dipengaruhi oleh latar belakang dan sudut pandang mufassirnya. Demikian pula halnya dengan penafsiran atas ayat-ayat yang mengandung tema dhalâl, latar belakang dan sudut pandang mufassir ikut mewarnai hasil dari penafsiran tersebut. Kedua sosok mufassir yang menjadi fokus dalam penelitian ini merupakan representasi dari dua pihak yang berseberangan, Syî‟ah di satu sisi dan Sunnî di sisi lain. Kedua mufassir dengan masing-masing karya tafsirnya ini merupakan hasil dari sebuah komunitas kontemporer di abad 20. Tafsir al-Mîzân adalah karya seorang tokoh mufassir Syî‟ah kontemporer Muẖammad Ḫusein Ṯabâṯabâ`î (w. 1399 H/ 1981 M), sedangkan Tafsîr al-Sya‟râwî adalah karya seorang tokoh mufassir Sunnî kontemporer Muẖammad Mutawallî Sya‟râwî (w. 1419 H/ 1998 M).
Kajian terhadap tafsir Ṯabâṯabâ`î dan Sya‟râwî dalam penelitian skripsi ini dilakukan dengan metode komparatif ataupun perbandingan antara penafsiran keduanya terhadap ayat-ayat al-Qur‟an yang mengandung term dhalâl. Perbandingan antara kedua tokoh mufassir ini tentu tidak dilakukan terhadap keseluruhan ayat-ayat dhalâl yang terdapat dalam al-Qur‟an, melainkan dibatasi penafsirannya pada ayat-ayat tertentu yang dipilih berdasarkan keumumannya dan lebih dominannya, serta sudah dapat mewakili pandangan Ṯabâṯabâ`î dan Sya‟râwî.
Hasilnya, penafsiran Ṯabâṯabâ`î dan Sya‟râwî mengenai ayat-ayat dhalâl tidaklah tunggal. Memang ada titik kesamaan di antara mereka bahwa dhalâl tergambar dalam bentuk kesesatan, hanya saja dalam menafsirkannya lebih lanjut mereka berbeda. Perbedaan tersebut menurut penulis dikarenakan kecendrungan dari sudut padang masing-masing mufassir dalam memberikan interpretasi terhadap dhalal, Ṯabâṯabâ`î umumnya tampak menafsirkan dhalâl secara eksplisit ayat ataupun tekstual pembicaraan ayatnya, sedangkan Sya‟râwî cendrung menafsirkannya berdasarkan pengertian bahasanya
